And they are not so much possessive, as they are fiercely protective and territorial. This, is something I accept about their kind whole heartedly. Honestly, I really don't mind giving myself over to her.

I think that depends on your definition? She obviously can blend in with humans, so she's not unnaturally tall, but she could also be tall for a human, which could seem giant to someone who's short.
I know this isn't related to the your Damsel in Distress series since that's an original but it feels like a sequel or at least in the very same universe at least.
Another RUclips did the same story, though there was 2-3 more parts and this was 2 parts in of itself. PLEASE NOTE there's nothing wrong with either. I just remembered it and can't find it elsewhere now.
So this reopens the discussion on where a Yandere ends and a more run of the mill possessive partner begins. If this one is not quite a Yandere than does a Yandere require a violent aspect? As that seems to be the most recognizable quality
That's an interesting philosophical question! Violence is definitely a common component, but of course gentle yanderes exist. There are a few other things that I think differentiate a regular possessive girl from the yandere trope; a yandere stalks their darling, objectifies them, violates their boundaries without caring about the consequences or the impact on them, and is extremely hostile to those outside the relationship. But it's possible to be possessive without doing those things, I think.
