Cadence is so underrated. Everybody is always arguing about whether Celestia or Luna is the better princess without really acknowledging Cadence at all. One thing I particularly like is that she was initially a pegasus rather than a unicorn, showing that pegasus ponies and earth ponies have just as much magic and potential as a unicorn does.
Oh wow. Cadences backstory and her role in the expanded media of MLP is one of the reasons I love her so much. I wished for a long time that Cadences backstory would be introduced in the show and we would get to meet her adopted parents. Magpie you just gave me that gift of seeing it played out; added to immensely by your usual simple charm and soft spoken story telling. This was awe inducingly beautiful.
