Bakugou Katsuki, to me he symbolizes a sense of success in the real world, how people sometimes don't want to "Just make it" they want to be the best at what they do. Bakugou is one of my favorite characters because I really do admire his "Heroic Spirit" and desire to save and help by winning and striving. As he stated in the anime itself. "I break myself" just to beat All Might, his tenacity is staggering and its his most feared quality. The ability to keep going and not giving up on its own is scary, threatening, and respectable. I love Bakugou.
"save and help" Wants to murder everything in his way with no consideration for anything. He might be a tough one, but he's not a great character for it. I don't like him because he's too narrow minded and I get that that was the point. I won't deny that I love how he's animated and how awesome his theme is though!

I'm still waiting to see the hero inside Bakugo, the selfish hero, part that is missing still. That's why he is the second on my list, something is missing, and he probably will find in his rivalry with Deku. Deku and Bakugo are different sides of the same coin, what lacks in one of them can be found in the other.
Hunk White Well, Katsuki started off with a lot, he was coddled as a child by teachers and other students. With that in mind, a lot of people who grew up like that wouldn’t care to improve themselves because of a “why should I? I already have everything.” Mentality. However, Katsuki wants to go above and beyond, he wants to be better than everyone, including himself. To go beyond his own limits, even when things get scary, even though people would see him as a villain because of his personality, even though there’s Deku who’s getting greater and greater, he wants to be the best hero in existence. Deku is an amazing character, who doesn’t give up, but he has more of a reason to keep striving, while Katsuki doesn’t but still does. ❤️❤️❤️ I just absolutely adore him.
I love how Bakugou isn't like other anime characters with backstories that drive them, like how Deku was quirkless or Todoroki's desire to be a hero unlike his father, but rather, he's just extremely determined. He wants to be the best because he does and I love that.

Imagine being robbed by a villain and a guy called "King Explosion Murder" shows up. My first thoughts would be: Is this guy gonna save me or is he going to kill us both?
In my school we have basically my hero academmia personalities wiyhout know, it turned out that someone called me Kacchan as I turned and yelled WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT DEKU
He's passionate, headstrong and skilled. He's only just really started to see how big the gap is between himself and the world of heroes and villains. Never disliked him even back before when reading the manga, just felt he really needed to mellow out as there's a fine line between being a hero and a villain with how he acts.
There was a subtle character change from season 1 to season 2, where he got more serious. His ego was still huge, but it wasn't as big as before. I never really liked him, but I've heard he gets some good redemption and character development, so I'm keeping an open mind. Still, hard to look past how he literally told Deku to commit suicide. That's pretty disgusting behaviour.

Hold on to that open mind, for my prediction is that the pinnacle of his character development will happen maybe late season 5 to early season six knowing the anime’s scheduling. But trust in me and trust in all of us when we say that you and no person of any mindset will be disappointed in his happenings. The way he attempted to coax his so-called childhood “friend,” more like victim, into suicide still does bother me every time I think of this boy though, for those are most definitely never the actions befitting of a hero.
It looks like the other guys in this reply-thread thought about where my mind was going. The Bombing King will definitely take some time to mature out of his childish hot-headed phase, and he'll need plenty of ego-checks along the path to do it. Maybe something big will make him do a heel-face turn and get him to reel in his ego a little, and learn what to do with his fuse so it's not so short all the time.

Because he would feel like he's below Izuku or acting like him is the worse thing in the world. He's used to being praised and so when it comes to being weak, he can't accept that he has some. He is a unique character that I can sort of relate to. I can be agressive and have demoting tendencies, but that's becauae I want to be better. I can express myself in a way that doesn't seem selfish or bruting. When he said I pledge that I'm gonna win, I understood immediately being that kind of person. He was telling himself I can't lose this. I worked to hard to be weak and lose. I can't fail this. And that's what makes him a great character that seems reasonable. When Superman gets beat, its pathetic because he's supposed to be UNBEATABLE and INDESTRUCTIBLE and it makes it seem odd. Having him have flaws and power but not going into zones of where he can explore out of his norm makes him hard to beat but it seems reasonable when he is beat. He's is truly an amazing character.
You've never picked up a Superman omnibus in your life. If the highlight of Superman is how he "fights" to you, you're barking up the wrong tree. Anyone can fight. Anyone can be the tough guy. Superman's "power" isn't his strength, his will or his flight and heat vision. Superman's "character" is the man who will be there even when the world has let you down. Why did people hate Idi Amin ? He was passionate, straight forward and strong. Bakugo is more popular in Japan than in the west, partly because bullying is completely normalized in Japan to the point that almost all students are either bullies, getting bullied or are implict in bullying. Unlike in the west being a relentless bully is seen as a minor flaw and the narrative barely addresses it and does not really punish him.
Bakugou = Bakugou and noone else, all these dudes here comparing him to Vegeta, at least Bakugou sets goals for himself and puts his heart into it to complete them and eventually does, then gets pissed at himself because he believed he could have done better. Vegeta is still rivals with Goku and is trying to beat him, and where has that got him?
He now has a family, friends, probably a work and is as powerful, if not stronger, as a contender to God of Destruction Idk, doesnt look like a bad life

I never was interested in BnHA. But when I recently start to watch it I instantly fell in love with Lord Explosion Murder himself. Couldn't fight it. I would wish for him to become BnHA's main character.
I can just see it now... Deku completely helpless and is on all fours barely able to stand up against his enemies. But then this OST comes on and unbeknownst to everyone arrives Bakugo who steps in to save the only person he views not as a friend nor a rival but as a brother whom he truly cares for.

@@kiribakugou425 That was the first name he came up with for himself too. 爆殺王, Bakusatsuou. In English it's usually translated as King Explosion Murder but I like Bombing King way better. Makes more sense. They never allowed him to used it though so he had to pick another name for himself. If you read the manga you already know what it is :D

Bakugo is more popular in Japan than in the west, partly because bullying is completely normalized in Japan to the point that almost all students are either bullies, getting bullied or are implict in bullying. Unlike in the west being a relentless bully is seen as a minor flaw and the narrative barely addresses it and does not really punish him.
It actually only tends to be westerners that dislike him. In Japan he won the popularity vote by a huge margin

Vegeta is still rivals with Goku and is trying to beat him, and where has that got him?
