So he man was never sent to earth in the cartoon, but his mother was an earth astronaut who crashed landed on eternia and fell in love with the king, so that’s how he-man is tied to earth because his mother is human

He’ll prob say it in a more badass, triumphant and smug way after beating someone’s ass, taking a macguffin and saying it as a one liner before leaving. Hell, he may say it as He-Boy is escaping him in a flashback. I hope he has his stupid voice that other characters who don’t know he’s super dangerous make fun of him for but it’ll prob be more like Mark Hamill’s take or he won’t speak for most of it and when he does, it’ll be comedic
I also like how skeletor’s body kinda looks like it doesn’t have skin. Like it’s just the muscle fibers fully exposed. Kinda wish they leaned into it more since it still does look like it’s just thin skin

For me, it was the early 2000s animated He-Man.
He-Man is so underrated, he deserves a comeback. So far the trailer looks good. It actually looks fun but it still kept the darker themes in there as well.

2:10 the reason why this is one of the few movies where this trope works is because Adam’s mom is actually an astronaut from earth who on a flight to space gets into an accident resulting in her crash landing onto eternia. The in the show him and his twin sister are seperated so that people like Skeletor don’t hurt them, in this case tho it makes more sense to have sent Adam back to where his mother is from than to keep him on a planet where he would’ve been in constant danger as a child

Maybe the reason Adam was sent to Earth was because of this, to protect him.
It’s LITERALLY a universal trope that spans across myths and religions. Vishnu being incarnated multiple times on earth. Osiris returning to rule the underworld even after he’s rescued by Isis. Christ being born as God on earth. They all came from one place to a foreign place to become something new/greater/purposeful within a new place to help save the day. I’m so annoyed that people complain about it when it’s literally been part of human storytelling for millennia. Get tf over it 😂 it’s the story of your soul taking on a body to exist in this reality. We will never stop telling it because we are all living it.

I LOVE He-Man! I didn’t grow up in the 80s, but my dad did. He introduced me to the OG cartoon in Kindergarten. And you’re telling me that, now that I’m in High School, I get to go to the theater and watch a live action He-Man movie with my dad?! Sign me up day 1!!!

Adam's mother Queen Marlena is canonically from Earth. She was an astronaut pilot named Marlena Glenn (we see in the scene of Adam's job his nametag even says Adam Glenn). During spaceship experiment she got stranded and transported to Eternia. Stuff happens and she ended up marrying King Randor. So, in this movie having some events take place on Earth has reason.
Me and my dad loves He-Man. We're definitely seeing this when it is released this summer.
I love the dolph Lundgren movie and have great memories watching it as a kid

2:02 Chris, Both Mario and Minecraft take place in The Mystical Fantasy Worlds of Both movies for most of the runtime of both films. Both of them had characters transported to that world from the real world. Mario goes back to the real world in the climax of the first movie and Minecraft keeps its climax in the Minecraft world.
Plus, at least for Sonic it makes since for him to be in the real world because There are human characters in the games, so it's fine.
My dad absolutely loved he-man and I've been told so many things about it and watched vch tapes he saved and now me and him are going to eat this up

Having Mario without Brooklyn is like having a Narnia movie where the characters never came from England, or a Harry Potter movie where Harry was raised in the wizarding world.
Let the movie have a grounded beggining, so audiences unfamiliar with the characters and the world can learn about it. This movie isn't only for existing fans, but also to introduce new fans to the franchise.

At first, I was worried about the Earth involvement when I saw early set shots. After seeing the trailer, seeing that he was sent to our world, still bothers me. However, the sequences in Eternia look amazing. Here's hoping there's more Eternia than Earth.
All I can say is on June 5, 2026 I am in on watching this movie in theaters and I have the power!!!!!!!!!!!……….

If it fails, he’ll never be in a movie again. Every major movie he’s been in the last couple of years has bombed, so this might be the last nail in the coffin of his career.
He-Man has a huge cult following from 80s kids and random people who crave nostalgia like it’s their job so I don’t think it will fail if they do good marketing and hide Jared Leto from the marketing

Even though I was born in the early 2000s I do have some nostalgia for He Man thanks to reruns of it on Qubo Night Owl and I am a big fan of the 2002 reboot that took the He-Man lore more seriously, as for this trailer while their is stuff in the movie that still has me concerned like Earth playing a part in it and Jared Leto as Skeletor the rest of the trailer did impress me and I have faith in Travis Knight.

I am 50, grew up with the cartoon and toys. The original TOY lore, with the mini comic books that came with each toy was by far the best. He man was more of a nomadic barbarian, bad ass, but the cartoon changed a lot of that, which is also cool. One important thing to keep in mind, Marleena, Prince Adam's mother IS AN EARTHLING in the 80's cartoon lore, so it would not be that far off to send him there.
