So happy to see missive hitting the mainstream. We’ve been using it for years and it’s easily my favorite business tool. I would use it as a webmail client for my personal email even if I didn’t run a business on it. It’s that big of a game changer.
@LaylaPomper How do you "sync" you conversations in Clickup? This is one of the points you didn't mention in the video. If you send an email from a task, the communication/thread is in that ticket (where you do the work). Also, notifications in Clickup are built on that system. If a client responds to a Clickup email I get a notification in Clickup and processing the email is part of going through my Home/Inbox in Clickup. However if I send the email through Missive, now I have to check 2 Inboxes to see what work has to be done that day. Also I'm not able to quickly add the email reply to a task and mark it to be resolved. So information about a task now lives in two different systems. Let me know how you do this where Clickup tasks require you communicate "outside" your team. Thanks! P.S. If only we could get a Missive plugin which allowed us to link an email to Clickup while writing it and let it give a notification in the task when a reply is received.
You're correct! Currently, we use Conversation Links in Missive and don't try to double-enter the info and updates! Essentially we'll have either a Comment or a Custom Field (depending on the department) and put the relevant Missive URL into that spot. The understanding is, that's the spot to check for up-to-date info. However, we track notes and time in ClickUp on all info *beyond* the email exchange. That gives us a clean line in the sand! Additionally, we have a Routine task in ClickUp (recurring) that prompts everyone to check Missive daily. It is a second area to check, however, we're still using ClickUp as our source of truth and "hub" of all operations! P.S. That would be awesome!! Missive does have a great ClickUp integration on the Task side, but I'd love to see this feature come to life in the future!
@@LaylaPomper to be able to take advantage of all the features you explained, you need the "Productive" plan at a minimum. This plan cost $26 per user if my understanding of the pricing table is correct. As a solopreneur I search for cost effective.
Ah! I don't think that's necessarily true. We used the free plan for 6+ months with a team of 3 and had no reason to upgrade...but I was tempted by the Rules and that's why we decided to start paying. It was more of a "nice to have" than an essential upgrade. If I were solo, I'd still be on the Free Plan.

Same reason why I started writing for them too. Been using them for 2+ years. Rules + variables + templates = ❤️
@@skylerreeves exactly! great minds think alike! 😎
do you maybe know if they are planning to add soon apple icloud calendar integration?
Do you manage your contact database in ClickUp or Missive?
Hey Luke! Just getting caught up on comments🙈
Our contact database lives in ClickUp :)
I love missive. I do wish their menus/preferences were a bit more streamlined though.
Hey Gavin! They've done some updates recently -- hopefully this is part of them!
Cool video! I use both apps. They are excellent options. And the integration is quite helpful.
Completely agree! And thank you! I'm so glad it was beneficial for you!

Could not agree more. I can’t imagine going back to pre-Missive! 🤯

What do you mean, Garry?

Why
Hi @samanthayoung8777. How can I help your "why"?
Great video! We are looking at missive for client support mainly in our agency. Does it also replace Slack?
It certainly can. The only thing is lacks is Slackbots, really!
