    I would use a blanket or normal play mat for tummy time because baby’s usually learn to roll by doing tummy time, and those loungers don’t give them rolling room.

    I'm a mom of two toddlers and I've always used the all free & clear detergent. A lot of the specific detergents labeled "for babies" are so overly scented and over priced for what they are. I've also heard the tide free & gentle is good too.

    Yeah I would have a little diaper changing supply basket in the living room and your bedroom. I also recommend creating a postpartum basket for your bathroom as well. Pads, tucks pads, spray, bottle, extra underwear, nursing pads and anything else you might want. So helpful! I was so thankful for my baskets.

    My sister has used the Dreft baby laundry detergent ever since her baby was born and she loves it so much! They have different kinds of dreft for the different stages of your baby’s life!

  • @itskatyjonesyoutube
    @itskatyjonesyoutube 5 лет назад +3

    When my son was a newborn and we were preparing for his birth we washed all of his clothes in dreft because that's what my OB had said was her favorite and she knew a lot of other women liked as well. Also, I had that exact pain. I was bedridden the last trimester of my pregnancy, but going to a chiropractor was a lifesaver! I was able to have some sort of comfort up until his birth. I also slept with a giant pregnancy pillow every night that helped a ton too. Hopefully you get to feeling better!

    I use baby dreft and I love it!! My little boy has not broken out either so it’s good for his skin! I also switched our laundry detergent to a free and clear one (target brand up&up) someone told me your baby is mainly with you and on all of your clothes and sheets and blankets in the house so it might be better for them for the first year to have your clothes be washed in a better detergent as well.

    I am pregnant with #3 right around your due date! I get that pain too. Normally I can relieve it by sitting up straight or stretching in the opposite direction. If I am sitting on the couch, I put a small pillow behind my back so I can arch my back a little bit and it helps. It’s worse when I am slouching. Hope that helps!

    The room is looking so cute!!!
    I actually don’t recommend washing EVERYTHING of the babies right away. A lot of babies are only in the newborn size for a few weeks. My daughter was only in them for 2 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I only washed a few outfits for her to wear at the hospital and then did a load at home once I know how big she was, and just washed stuff as she was needing more clothes. I’m so glad I did because I ended up returning half of her newborn stuff because she outgrew them so fast!

    I love the seventh generation free and clear laundry detergent. It's very gentle especially for sensitive skin or eczema concerns. Biokleen Bac-out stain and odor remover is also an incredible natural stain remover that I use on everything like when I drop food or coffee on myself. Lol It comes in a large spray bottle which is very convenient. My sister in law also keeps one in her car for my nieces who are 1 and 3yrs old.

    Aches and pains are so normal. With my first it felt concerning but its just your body adjusting. If its making your stomach hard, its probably braxton hicks. Once again, totally normal and even helpful! It means your body is practicing. If pain subsides with rest and water you’re usually okay. Always go with your mama intuition though.
    Biokleen or Molly Suds are the best for plant based detergents :) both available on Amazon.

    Honestly for the detergent I used one bottle of dreft for both my kids and then washed them with our regular detergent just separately from everyone’s clothes. My kids aren’t sensitive to any type of material or detergent but my nephew was and my sister had to keep using dreft and he’s about to be 2. It all depends on your kiddo. The pain I would get but the doctor would just tell me it’s because the baby is so high up. Once she drops down you’ll be able to breathe so much better! 🙏🏼

    Have you thought about trying the TruEarth strips? They're a hypoallergenic fragrance-free detergent that comes in these little strips that dissolve, they cut down on packaging so are more sustainable and environmentally friendly, they also have an automatic delivery option so they come straight to your door. My mom just started using them and loves them so far, they're fine for HE washing machines and front loaders as well, so I think I'm going to start using them :)

    My daughter has pretty sensitive skin and Dreft works really well for her (and we prefer to use more natural products). With baby stuff though, you need something that has some sudsing power so it cleans and gets out all the messes! And yes, round ligament pain...very common stretching of your organs and skin which makes it more uncomfortable in the third trimester!

    You do still have to take prenatal vitamins postpartum and while you’re breastfeeding if that’s what you plan to do.. idk why but everyone else’s pregnancy went by so much faster than my own, but now she’s already 6 months old 🙀 I personally use Dreft to wash her clothes and she’s good, while my mother in law uses normal detergent and still no rashes or allergies. However, baby Johnson products were terrible for my little nugget, she got an allergic reaction down her arms and legs so we switched to Aveeno. Every baby is different though
