I was once a Huawei user. I started on their famous Midrange unit, the Huawei Nova 3, then my first Flagship phone was Huawei P40 Pro. But due to the lack of Google Services, and the lack of 5G connectivity, I switch now to owning an Honor Magic6 Pro. And dude! That was the greatest switch I made. I did the right decision. Yes it is true that Huawei still holds perfection when it comes to the photography segment (sometimes my Huawei P40 Pro still packs a punch against my Honor Magic6 Pro), I cannot say anything negative when it comes to Honor Magic6 Pro's performance. Very good set of cameras, superb battery life, gaming is off the charts (Genshin Impact player here). And it is comforting that this channel confirmed my decision to switch to Honor. Thank you guys. I recommend you to go to Huawei back when they launch the mate 70. Fells like the camera is a bit better in the pura. Well, when the mate 70 finally launch, it will get a 1.5mi AnTuTu score Wich is more than enough, so don't give up Huawei.
Im right now at the same turning point you faced some time ago.....after being a super happy Huawei customer, I switched to Saumsung (S22U) for the Android reason.....now big dilemma .....Honor magic 7 pro or H Pura 80 Ultra (yeah.....I'm waiting the upgrade....). Looks like Harmony OS did massive progress in aligning with Android, however the 4G story bothers me quite a lot. I think I'll go for Honor ultimately ....BTW, Samsung is crap IMO
I feel the Honor had the better pictures here. The pic of the lady on the phone looked so good on the Honor. The contrast was amazing with the blacks being very black. The over brightening of blacks on the Huawei washes the image out a little. I love honors approach.
I have the p70 ultra and i have used magic 6 pro too. P70 ultra is far better in terms of skin colour and sharpness. Like almost 2 times better than magic 6 pro
I bought my Magic Honor 6 pro when they release here in PH. I can say that this phone is a beast no doubt about it. I maximize my day to day activities ( ie, gaming, browsing,music,) and still 60% to 50 % when I got back home. Totally a par flagship phone.
Huawei, even though I have an honor magic 4 pro, 5 pro, 6 Pro, honor 90 and honor 200 pro. A long with my Huawei mate 10 pro, P20 pro, p40 Pro and Mate 40 pro. Will be saving up for the best pura 70 ultra or may just wait a few months for the mate 70 pro.

The GMS issue is now easily solved in Huawei device using MicroG method, it adds a bit more complexity but you only need to do it once anyway. The Pura 70 Ultra also feels and looks more premium. 5G is not a big deal even now LTE is fast enough even to stream Netflix or RUclips without lag. Most of us have data limits anyway so 5G will just eat your data limits faster 😂. But if you game get the Honor cause of the US ban China cannot match the West yet in chip technology. It still has a 7nm chip domestically made vs the Honors 4nm SD8 G3.
very well said... additional to this... most people/consumers been used to Snapdragon, without realizing how convenient an inhouse chipset is... as you remember, Huawei's first inhouse-based chipset "Kirin" was implemented and introduced on their Huawei Nova 7 5G, and up until now, that unit is still kicking like a flagship killer... its just too sad that Nova 7 is no longer in market source, like if there is, it is too pricey since Huawei already phase it out worldwide...
Well guys who can purchase these devices can easily have a recharge of 2gb/ per day or more which gives unlimited 5g so the LTE point u said is not correct 5g gives a very high advantage and is fast as hell plus u know the gms is the only reason people don't go for Huawei so ofc it is just as useful. Imagine getting a device worth lakh still having to manually set up all the essential things Honor is a way better deal there's no great difference in camera Huawei still being the best but still is not worth it for other than who are into purchasing that device only
I love my honor magic 6 pro nice flagship overall. 5g nice display, battery, chip & so on. I'm excited try to winter battery good performance. Before I'm thinking Huawei pura 70 ultra or honor magic 6 pro,i choose honor indeed I'm surprise.

I am satisfied with its performance and google services are relatively okay (the biggest downside is that I have to manually update my apps, unlike with Samsung where you can set things automatically with the app update).
