She's carrying (G)I-DLE and (G)I-DLE is carrying Cube. If the group would leave, Cube would fail and collapse and burn and be bankrupt. I want Soyeon and all the other idols and soloists and work crew and support people to be safe.
But I want the Execs at Cube to be stripped of everything they have and become homeless (I have been homeless myself, I do know EXACTLY what it entails). I want them to have to BEG for money or food, or to do nasty menial manual labor like cleaning toilets in order for them to survive. I want their entire educations to be wasted and worthless.
I want the entire public to be made aware of who they are and what they have done to all of the groups and soloists they were supposed to protect. I want them all to be black-listed, Persona Non Grata in the entertainment world. I want everybody to treat them like lepers, snear at them and never trust them at all.

A 10-year experienced idol having to compete with young trainees who actually performed one of the songs he wrote as their audition. No wonder he broke down in tears...

Soyeon is probably the only female girl group idol who has the respect of Zion T, Tiger JK, Zico, Jay Park, PSY, Jessi and many other idols and artists.
Psy called her female Zico, Jay Park calls her rap princess, Soyeon has made a name for herself since she was 16 years old, she has been called "gos soyeon" by her company's staff, "Most wanted idol" by MBC Entertainment, "Empress of KPop" Rolling Stone Korea, and many others. She won "Female Multi-Entertainer 2022", "Best Songwriter Melon Music Awards 2022" .
Also, (G)I-dle and PSY have a colab coming as part of the show "MNET prime" Starting Feb1. There will be 4 weekly episodes dedicated to just the PSY/(G)I-dle segment. The first and second weeks will follow each artist’s story and they will collaborate on stage in the third week. In week four, the broadcast will take fans behind the scenes of their performance with commentary.

Soyeon is built different, she's imo leading the way for female rappers for the current generation, just like how I think changbin is doing for the guys of his generation
Not just Female rappers, but idols in general as producers, as writers (lyricists, not only from the rap side but also for vocalists), as leaders. Whatever the guys are doing in Entertainment, all of the technical stuff, the ladies can do. It's just a matter of getting through that age-old barrier that has been the problem forever. Soyeon did part of that that and led the way for Gen 4 (but you have to credit others who came before as well; Moon Byul-yi among others...) and now more ladies are going through the hole in that barrier these days, widening it as they go. She is really SO important to the future of the industry.
Soyeon for me is THE IT girl. She can sing, rap, dance, write, produce, dabbles in costume design, dabbles video design, she also is in charge of her group's concepts she has written and produced nearly 100 different songs for herself, (including the album Windy where this song comes from) her group and other groups. She was on Unpretty Rap Star and destroyed the competition there, started writing her own music got signed by Cube Entertainment wasnt allowed to debut, created her own group basically from scratch with 3 foreign members Minnie, Yuqi and Shuhua and 3 Korean members Miyeon Soojin and herself. When cube wouldnt give them anything she took it upon herself to create G-Idle's music herself. Cube didn't like their song she asked her members for their approval. They liked it so she created Latata in 2018 and they debuted with that song basically with her job on the line. It became a smash hit and G-idle has been on a warpath since. They are eternally loyal to one another and are the definition of chaos but there is more love and trust between those 5(6) girls than there is in their company and the industry as a whole. They had 2 albums last year I Never Die which featured a massive smash single Tomboy and their latest to date was I Love which switched their concept completely and paid homage to Marilyn Monroe with the hit Nxde. sorry for the rant but I kind of fell in love with them and went a little mad. I definitely recommend you check her/them out either on a series of videos or just in your spare time.
Lee Young-Ji is one of the most talented female rappers. You GOTTA check her out! Her tone, flow and delivery have so many different colors in her different songs, that I am truly amazed. From harsh rap to softer almost singing melodic rapping, she got IT ALL.
"Mad, Sad and Bad" is a BiBi song. She's probably referencing that. I would recommend checking it out. It's quite short, though less than 2 mins. Soyeon references about 3 (G)I-dle songs and her own debut album, "Windy," if I'm not mistaken. Also, "Oh My God" (which is a must see M/V), and a few others I think. Also, Soyeon is considered the best, baddest and fastest rapper in K-Pop if not the world.

I have been binged watching Lee Youngji's shows recently AGAIN starting with high school rapper 3 and damn I can never get enough of her rapping. Her skills are amazing, just the fact that she only started rapping for 6 months before the show and now being the best and first female rapper to win hsr3 and show me the money 11 makes me love her again and again.

So you mentioned Jessi, but I think it's important to note that Soyeon said "in this new generation," which I took to mean 4th gen K-pop. Jessi is gen 3, so I don't think she was meaning her. I think she meant gen 4 artists who aren't embracing new styles and creativity. I'd think she's probably more likely talking about the rappers from groups like Aespa and Itzy, other 4th gen girl groups but ones that have more of a formulaic approach to their raps. Soyeon seems to be very proud of her versatility, so it makes sense to me that she'd call out other artists that she thinks aren't able to keep up with her in that regard. Everything she puts out sounds different and new, while other groups (such as the ones I mentioned) have a clear style where you can almost predict where a song will go when you listen for the first time and usually be correct. That's what she meant by outdated junk, just recycling a format that has made money before. (Please note that I think Aespa and Itzy are both great groups and I like their music, I just think they're very formulaic and I think Soyeon would call that out before calling out Jessi. I also think her main target was really record label execs more than any individual artists.) This is just my take though, I'd be really interested to hear Soyeon do a breakdown of these lyrics and what she meant.

lee youngji also has a channel on youtube where she interviews celebrities in her own house, giving them a comfortable space and talk compared to actual interviews where a lot of things are played. It's always so hilarious. I recommend you to check it out wether you wanna know more abt her, just have some free time and wanna chill and watch something entertaining and funny or in case she interviews someone from skz which we stays are hoping for.

Yup, there isn't any beef with Jessi in particular. Like, Soyeon was actually interviewed on Jessi's Showterview after the album with this song came out and the amount of respect and admiration they have for each other was huge.

Yes!! I was literally just trying to remember if you'd reacted to the queen, Soyeon yet. As far as (G)i-dle stuff I would personally start with Lion. The presence she has in that song is unmatched. Oh My God is another amazing one, then Tomboy and then Nude is very different, but again, she slays in that. She's easily one of the best rappers in K-pop period (not just best female rapper). As other have mentioned she also produces and writes so she's incredible

The references of "sad and mad" is my guess referencing to one of the BIBI songs. The last parte of Soyeon I believe that thing about money is more about "controlling them" or "owning them" than look like them, because Soyeon is been part of a lot of polemics with the kpop industry because she is trying to break some ideals and stupid rules. During the perfomance of (G)-idle on MAMA awards she changed the verse to talk bad about the organization since MAMA is well known for corruption on the votes and the nominations. So in resume, I think that Soyeon is probably referring to something like that because they want to "buy them" for their own profit. And if she referring to someone trying to be like them, I don't believe is Jessi, this girl has a huge respect for her.
Soyeon got me into rap, I’ll always turn in for her.
I'm just gonna add here that Jessi had an interview with Soyeon (blonde one here) and Soyeon is pretty respectful with her, being Jessi is her senior and Soyeon was once mentored by rapper Cheetah. Now Cheetah is another rapper who was with Jessi in a show "Unpretty Rapstar" season 1. Soyeon was also in it in season 3. Youngji, if I'm not mistaken, also competed in a rap show and won.
Soyeon isn't one to target a specific person in her rap (unless talking about herself, but usually about the entertainment system and issues). When she talked about rap king or queen, she meant it doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman. A rapper is a rapper and the best one will be the best.
Kpop right now is very obsessed with giving titles to their idols (rap king, rap queen, dance king, etc) and Soyeon is no exception. Just like the other comments here, she's highly praised. Almost every kpop group right now has an assigned member who will be a "rapper" but ofc not every idol "rapper" is a rapper or at least on par with her skills. So i guess she just means "sometimes, that (title) doesn't mean anything."
Next is about getting there with money. I guess plastic surgery could be a part of it but it's also about the entertainment industry "buying" something. Votes, awards, streams, anythng to boost their company's group to be at the top. Bribing also happens a lot in kpop with powerful companies which groups are under. And rigging has been a problem with survival shows and awards, be it that it's not a competition of skills anymore, but more on who's popular. Because SK prioritizes attractiveness than skills. Especially now that the generation switch from 3rd gen (groups debuting in 2012 to 2018 example: blackpink, twice, bts, etc) to 4th gen (groups who debuted in 2018 until now). Everything right now is a competition not just for the groups but for stans also. So people are mass streaming and mass buying their favorites to maintain being on top. Entertainment or whether the music is good is rarely questioned anymore, it's more of a status symbol who has the most ordered album, most streams, etc. Every time a group makes a comeback, fans are ready to outdo any previous records.

Soyeon is the voice behind K/DA rapper Akali from LOL. It’s a virtual K-pop group ( she raps in 3of them) all songs are in English and Korean.
Soyeons sole songs from her Windy album they are all great the rap heavy songs are (quit, bbnb, and psycho)
As for Gidle songs her rap slaps in all of them. Most of their songs have deep meaning behind them. Each comeback has a different genre. All MV are visually and artistically please. If I’m going to recommend songs based on what you like from skz:
