Love the "Bouncers" !! the Liver is like the college bar-everyone can get in , and the brain is like the elite club and the bouncer decides which "partyers" are allowed in :)

Thank you Karena! Rachel got me rolling with the regular habit of posting videos, and then went back to producing her own amazingly helpful videos here: ruclips.net/channel/UClUKACt0BlG1Ejnvfq-V-SA Since then it's just me alone in the garage at my whiteboard, me editing, me posting, a one-man vertical monopoly on the "integral anatomy/somanaut" brand haha! We have our own spaces in the house to produce our distinctly flavored content, she is truly a powerhouse!

This is a wondeful video and I learned a lot. Thank you! I did not know that red blood cells can pass through capillary walls. I think it's worth noting that the blood brain barrier prevents the passage through capillary walls of not just red blood cells, but many other substances that are potentially harmful to the brain.

I love being one of your 'somanauts…but, I have a question... if alcohol and drugs can get a 'pass' in terms of physiological access-then how does the legal system use drugs and alcohol as unacceptable. I am not trying to take sides either way-I have seen how drugs and alcohol are negative-but, there are a lot of affidavits of how drugs has worked in a positive way.

So true! Systems of control do not always (if ever) care for the logic of the body!
