Some of the Russian music that I've heard over the years is very impressive indeed. Bands like Sektor Gaza and Lyube to mention two are pretty awesome really. This particular track is still very much thought provoking and somewhat emotional.

Александр, Афган это очень трудная тема. Но в общем эта песня сама по себе универсальна. И по мне все кто борются с талибами её заслуживают. А уж кто, когда и зачем заварил это войну, это совсем другой разговор. Но молодым ребятам которые погибли и до сих пор гибнут в Афгане этот разговор вряд-ли поможет.

I think this song is applicable only for Soviet Troops in Afghanistan. Due to troops of USA are contracted troops and their soldiers went to fight in Afghanistan for money.
Why for them? It's song for OUR troops.

This is the saddest song I have ever heard. I think this should be given as a tribute to Coalition troops in Afghanistan.
