I'm not answering your question, but if it's a perversion of a memory by an outside force tainting one of the few positive ones he has with his mom, it is just so cruel.
If it's something that his mom actually said at that time, it's almost even more cruel. It means that all this time, this "sacred memory" as you said and the thing that brings him comfort, reading, is tied up with this graphic trauma.

One of the ways that I think the manhwa surpasses the novel is in the action scenes. Like you say, the story doesn't really need the action in order to be entertaining, but it's icing on the cake to see everything interpreted visually, especially when the art is so fantastic. That being said, it's also ironic because one of the themes of the novel is reading and the things that can only be expressed in the written word, the relationship between what the author writes and our imagination.
This theme is touched upon here with Dokja reading between the lines, the things unsaid where a person's own interpretation lies, "the letters and the space that is between them felt like a field of snow that was reserved only for me". Reading is his safe place, his coping mechanism, but it's also his crutch and Dokja realizes this. He even partially blames his mom for teaching him to love reading later in the chapter. "If she'd told me...that reading is a waste of life...would I have made more friends?"
ORV is about the relationship between the writer and the reader, the reader and the characters, the audience and the story.
The way we use stories, like Dokja to cope, and the way we enjoy stories, like the constellations some who prefer the romance and some the violence. We are the constellations viewing the story, criticizing them, cheering them on, torturing them, living vicariously.
It can get meta really quickly.

You pointed out earlier in the video how when you have multiple adaptations of a piece of media, the audience goes through comparing the movie to the book, the anime to the manga, the webnovel to the manwha. What changes were made and why, what's lost between the changing mediums and what is gained. In a way, ORV is TWSA, Dokja's cut, his self-insert fix-it fic.
It's because of this that I like the discussion of Dokja's relationship with TWSA the work of fiction that is separate from the alternate world of the novel he is living in. Dokja's relationship with reading and TWSA specifically is defining and conflicting for him. Despite his changes, it's still valued by him. It's still his favorite story. Reconciling this with the actual people in front of him is so important.

"Dokja is occupying that main character spot...YJH has found a way to be main character busted but not follow the story that was written for him."
This is important because in the beginning YJH fought against Dokja's meddling a lot, but especially with his development a few chapters ago, we see him begin to rely on Dokja now. By not following the story that was written for him, or the way that he had been playing through the scenarios before, he gave up a piece of control that he had. He's actually trusting someone else to be an equal as much as he hates to admit it. Dokja is important to him, and so it becomes important to thwart the prophecy.

Hate or love Dokja's mom, she is a complex and fascinating character, and she doesn't even get that much screentime! It's so impressive. The female characters in ORV are just so diverse and interesting. It's rare to see.
The discussion around reading and books is one of the reasons why I love ORV so much T-T this chapter kind of touches on those themes, so I'm glad you see this as a good example of ORV. This manhwa and webnovel just gives me so many ✨thoughts✨
    Thanks for the reaction!

I always interpreted his "Read Again" as something like, you read a book and it's about how the hero goes on an adventure and saved the princess. Read it again, and this time it's about how the hero persevered through challenges to save the princess. Read it again, and this time it's about what the hero gained from those challenges throughout his journey to save the princess. The story is the same, but how you take that in becomes different.

this chapter is like the author's subtle, but not so subtle way of encouraging readers to reread ORV after finishing it. I remember reading the last chapter of ORV and then IMMEDIATELY scrolling all the way back and clicking on that first chapter right after finishing. The chills I felt as I reread the story while knowing where every character ends up and knowing their backstories, goals, and developments was something I don't think any other story has been able to recreate. Even with where the manhwa is now, it's fascinating to go back and watch characters like Dokja back in the first scenario, knowing what we know now about his past, his skills, his personality etc.
ORV is a story written to be reread if that makes sense.
There's this one scene from earlier that happens when Dokja is freeing Suyeong from the coin farm (I think it's chapter 69?). Dokja's former coworker is looking at Dokja after his team has completely been wiped out by Dokja and Suyeong and he says, "I knew this was who you truly were. I should have realized when I first heard those rumors." I remember Dokja's pained expression and at first thought it was due to the fact the Suyeong ends up killing his coworker, but now, knowing that people in his workplace would talk about his past behind his back, I think he his coworker probably struck a nerve relating to Dokja's family trauma and the trauma he faced due to his mother's book. It's the little things that make me love the foreshadowing and attention to detail in this story.

Yuseung is more synchronized with her supporting constellation now, meaning her bond with dokja is growing stronger. That's why she can see dokja in his out-of-body state.
This is also why she knew dokja was possessing catastrophe yuseung's body in the 5th scenario but because of her synchronization was still low, she could only sense his presence.

The arc that is about to start is one of my absolute favourites in the light novel. The story, the action, the emotions are all such a rollercoaster, this is about to be a wild ride

These parts and whats upcoming are what make this arc one of my absolute favorites in the whole novel. Btw heres an amazing novel fragment which I believe should have been adapted that you haven't read in the webtoon comments:
//At first, I only saw the main character's position. The second reading showed the position of the supporting character and the third reading showed the position of the enemy.
The story changed every time I read it. The story was over but it wasn't over. The story wouldn't end unless the reader gave up on the story.//
That last line always gives me chills everytime I read it.

That last line is incredible! Dokja never giving up on the story is both similar and juxtaposed to YJH and how he navigates. Very interesting!

It was nice to see dokja's naive childhood. And it seems like the fourth wall was blocking his whole trauma before.
