I live alone and love it, and I am not lonely. The friends I have now I can count on one hand with a few fingers left over. The toxic people that called themselves friends are gone, and I've never been happier.
The big thing is get a NETWORK of people, don't sit in your room all day, join a gym meet up with people, find a church hang out with people, maybe check out a new club when they have open meetings and even if you just check it out once. Find a good restaurant and talk with the Owners and steady customers, don't be shy start with talking with the owner. Many Churches have "life groups" and always welcome new people.
I'm a single 60yr old who divorced for a good reason almost 30yrs ago, I have been penalized my entire ADULT life because I choose to be single. Over all it's been WORTH IT!
Grew up a loaner only child and now have a large family, it's tough at times as I still long for solitude but it keeps me on my toes. Plus plenty of company as I knwo how it is to be lonely humans are social beings...
In the last few years of the 1990s I was at university in the UK, what you guys would call college, & whilst I was there I worked part time in a local cash & carry & I was employed on wines and spirits mostly. During Christmas normally the way it worked was that customers would be taking items off the shelves quicker than we could throw them on. Your country is wealthier than mine. Contrast your experience in this video with what I described. We really are in a depression. Since the financial crisis of 2008-09 things have changed.
Thank you for sharing Enrique. I’m 48 and this will be my 5th holiday season by myself. I’ve reached a point where they don’t really mean anything to me. Someday if I meet the right person I believe that will change but until then it’s just different. And, like you mentioned, as you get older your BS meter becomes really fine-tuned and harder to let someone in. Take care and appreciate your thoughts. ✌🏻
No way would I date or get married. Zero debt, house paid for. No family. I’ve got my 2 doodle dogs and that’s enough for me. No issues, no problems. We’re happy.
What? I always tipped well solo. I’m already 50% savings by dumping the dead weight. If it’s a women server and she smiles and is happy and personable in it, most guys will tip better just on that. 🎉
Better to focus on Jesus and His Word, than on relationships. There’s a lot of fakery out there, plus assumptions, judgments, and demons operating in most people. Sad to say. ✝️

It is difficult to maintain a household alone but the quality of partners is not good. Dating is not fun today.
