I have these and although they are pleasing on the eye.. That's about it. Very hard to keep clean, bugs get trapped in between the panels and end up being squashed into the material when rolling up or down, the weighted bar at the bottom is very noisy especially at night when I want to close bedroom window you have to lift the whole thing up to get to the window handle, also when I leave my window open the breeze hits the blinds and the weighted bar clanks against the window frame very loud and annoying at night. Not practical but looks good.
Precisely! Really aesthetically pleasing from both inside and outside but I definitely noticed the bug thing every so often and the opening of the window can make you feel like you'll rip into the mesh. I managed to damage the mesh on day 1 by accidently kicking the cardboard box it came with into it. 😩😅
Yes I got the enclosed version of the blind housing from 247blinds and it looked terrible and clunky, even worse than yours. I ended up throwing everything away except the material and basic roller. I fitted the roller with a standard roller-blind mechanism and bought and painted a length of wooden "L" strip to support the end of the blind material. I like the material, I got chocolate brown. It looks good now but was a lot of work figuring out what to do with it. I notice they don't show and closeups of the housings on their website. Now I know why.
Great review, thanks. How do you think this blind/colour would cope with direct sunlight? I need a blind that blocks or at least stops some of the gaze of direct sunlight so I can actually see my telly ! 😅
So how bad is privacy at night? We would walk and stand about 4-5 feet from the blind, with a light right above our heads. Would people see us moving around or it's only when you walk closer to the blinds? Thanks
It's a tricky one to call but think of it as a muffled silhouette in a way. Only really noticeable if shining a light directly behind you toward the blind if that makes sense? If using just lamps at night in a bedroom, you'll feel fine with it... maybe not so much if the big main is on and it's midnight 😂
@@Torology see original I was always going to get wooden Venetian blinds however I keep seeing theses day & night blind everywhere...not 100% sure anymore I'm thinking of maybe just buying 1 of each & seeing what I proffer but definitely going through a different company 😅
Try this: www.blinds-2go.co.uk/day-and-night-blinds/refine/pf-1 its a slightly different design but I have seen this style in the above video with blackout material. Seems to be more harder to find nowadays.
Mine are a similar colour and I've been getting on okay with the white in the other room although, the window is a lot smaller and so is the blind. Some companies do a blackout version too if you want ultimate darkness etc. This big white one is alright if you don't sleep in there.

Hi How to take these blinds down please
Thanks
@Sima J I believe you need to slide a flat head Screwdriver into the bracket to release the clip

Thank you. You’ve helped us to avoid 247 blinds.

Completely hear you Mike, it's annoying when you're left to figure things out! How did you get on with the custom version in the end?

I think it would most likely do the job at stopping the rays althought at night, a street lamp will shine through softly if that helps!
Is there a thermal version of this? Thanks for the review
Thank you for this honest review. I will not be buying anything from this company and probably won't buy this type of blind either!
I was thinking of buying these for the bathroom windows now sceptical because of the comments.. Back to the drawing board!!
Mine are still going strong ironically despite the mishaps 😊

Did you measure the actual blind when fully lowered and compare that actual length of the blind to the size you provided ?
Yup and it was too short
You gotta be NUTS to buy these...for all the reasons you've stated. The clanky noise would be a deal breaker for me right off the bat.
Thank you for this I was looking at getting these exact blinds 🙂👍
You are welcome! What did you decide in the end?

Any advice on a company that does black out ones?

I got the same blind from next . I gave up with it . I sent it back …
What colour would anyone suggest for anthracite windows?
