Did you see? Is this why the fish disappeared (fish not visible off camera?). When the proboscis starts to come out at about 0:23 a shadow of a water vortex starts to dance above it from that end of the snail. Then, at about 0:43 the sand below it is moved about by the whirl of the vortex. It is as though the snail uses the proboscis to focus or direct the vortex. It would be easy to confirm or discredit this with a small streak of a little yellow food coloring near a living target. The vortex was not used on the dead meal.

Emagine just sittin on the couch watching tv but then you feel something like hot breath you turn around and you see a mouth bigger than you
You then pass out in fear and wake up in a squishy and slimy place you then start not being able to breath and you puke out your last breath and cant get it back but you have some ideas
Idea #1:try to climb back up the throat and get to the mouth and try to get it open and jump out to freedom
Idea #2: climb into the intestines and try to crawl out to freedom
Idea #3: bite a hole on a wrinkle and bite it bigger so you can crawl out of it and ripping and tearing the flesh and origins around you..dont stop for nothin!
