The bird and waterfall buttons were to solve a serious problem where people where flushing the whole time as they went to hide the sound and wasting a ton of water.

What confuses me is that Japan is so clean in so many ways, and yet-according to my brother who went there-they don't often have hand soap, the water (from the sinks) is almost always cold, and there's no way to really dry your hands (no paper towels or anything). What's up with that?
I've never seen a bathroom in Japan that didn't have hand soap. It's true about the water being cold though. And as for drying hands, public bathrooms always have either towels or air blowers. Not sure where your brother went if we wasn't able to find these things, you sure he didn't accidentally go to North Korea instead?
I'm pretty sure that the ark of the covenant is just a Japanese bathroom, it's so clean it literally burns your face off
Yeah, I went to japan and not every bathroom is nice. Encountered many that where the ones that were just holes in the group essentially.

Having visited Japan in 2020, I can assure you the claims of the extremely high-tech toilets everywhere are exaggerated. I'd say about 50-50, but not so much in public. Also, you need those warm seats because they don't believe in heating places half the time. So it's cold in that bathroom!

The thing about Japan - very interesting. They have many rules and procedures and find many "western" things offensive, but there are so many things that Japanese people do that "westerners" find offensive.
Soo everything you said about japan is false besides the taxi doors, not everywhere has all those fancy things or is super clean like you say.

A lot of the stuff she said about Japan is not true. Many of the train stations had bird noises but not a single public bathroom I went into had any sort of noises. I only saw one toilet that was a futuristic automatic toilet.
It was a very touristy view of Japan.

Oh I WISH that ALL public toilets had the bidets. Aside from the many squat-style toilets that are still common in Japan, there's still a good percent of Western-style toilets that don't have the bidet function. Being forced to use toilet paper like a goddamned animal is just the worst!

Like, I'm not a big fan of her because of that, but I also am disturbed by the amount of vitriol aimed at her in the comment sections of vidoes. Most of the people commenting don't like her because she's a woman or they call her fat or whatever. They're not actually examining her character.
Madamoizillion I'm glad you added in the "whatever" because I haven't seen but one or two comments across all the videos I've seen that say anything about not liking her because "she's fat" or "she's a woman," although I've seen many other reasons and explanations given, which you just handedly lumped together and on the same level as her being "fat" or "a woman" and discounted them because you disagree with those reasons as being their basis for not liking her and make assumptions based on your preconceived notions. Also, just clarifying, to say someone is fat and to say you dislike someone because they are fat, while both stupid and unnecessary (unless being obese or overweight is relevant to the specific topic at hand), are two different things. Any assumptions you make beyond the statement they make are on you.
