I had no idea Ms. Sharon Moore is legally blind until I discovered another video with an interview with her. She's currently in Chicago and as glorious as ever! Incredible!
Many many years ago I saw her in Chicago. I was so happy to see her since I got the Fosse dvd :)
I have to say the woman in the film is Carol Haney. Fosse's first great muse. I think his early partnership with her led to his first great successes. She is indelible to me and the greatest. Even though Sharon brings her own level of excellence. I prefer Haney's cool, aloof sophistication.
Flipping awesome! Loved their style. They have the shoulder hunch and body angle down pat. Super dancers.
good job uploading this! thanks! :)
i like the scream in the beginning as well and the lady has very clear cut moves, definitely thumbs up for that!
the only disadvantage is the black background that limits what we see at points. other than that, well done!!!
Not a bad reproduction, but the crispness and feel of Fosse and Haney's original choreography and performance from Kiss Me Kate is vaatly superior. Fosse's detail, meticulousness and Haney 's total commitment for 60 seconds of a three minute number stop the show and stole the audience.
I think the performers and choreogragpher in this reproduction would have benefited by seeing and trying to follow Fosse's original choreography and timing instead of imposing their own forgettable style on the piece.
Agreed. The fact that this performance is staged in almost total darkness is another negative point.
What about the back flip?...
