As someone who has adhd and a short attention span, I usually like short videos because my brain shuts off when a video is too long BUT GURL, I can listen to you all day. I’ve actually sat through ur longest story times and never once have I taken a break while watching any of your videos. Pls don’t shorten your stories, ur good at telling them and I’m always at the edge of my seat when I’m listening to them ❤️🥰

My first set of acrylics were when I was 14 years old (bday gift) and I wanted what jlo in the movie Selena had, a sparkly goldish/whitish set and omg did I love them 🥰 I think my mom paid about $13 or $15 for them. Now as a massage therapist, I do my gel manicures at home 🙂

I like long storytimes or videos in general (of course not the ones that say a whole lot of nothing). For me it's a little sad when RUclipsrs I did enjoy start making RUclips shorts as their content. The speediness of those videos actually got me to make a conscious effort to put my phone down and read books because I feel like my attention span is shortening.

GIRL! First off, please don't shorten your story times! Sitting down on a lazy day & relaxing to your stories always makes me feel like I'm talking a best friend. Not only that but also if I am doing literally ANY chore, you best believe I have one of your stories going in the background! I love the detail you put into it! ALSO, I got gel polish on my toes for the first time a few weeks ago. I was going to the beach and just figured it would last longer. And ooo girl, did they ever. They were not budging even 3 weeks after I got them done, no matter how long I soaked them. I finally got them off after trying days at a time and can tell my toe nails are damaged and scraped up. Never again!!

I agree, if you can do your own nails and save some coin then that’s the way to go for sure. On the other hand, if you like the idea of being pampered and catered to or if you are uncomfortable doing your own toes and can’t paint your nails to save your life! Then Definitely look into a private nail tech because there are so many benefits that come with having a independent nail tech. You should not be experiencing cuts or burns during a service or have brittle nails on your toes after a gel mani or pedi or acrylic set. No Ma’am!
Like Nikki said, there are so many good nail techs out there who follow rules, protocols, and proper sanitation; who don’t cut corners and prides themselves on keeping the integrity of your nails on both your hands and feet. You may have to pay a little more out of pocket , but you’ll receive the experience you deserve 💅 👑

I needed to hear this tho! For as long as I can remember, I was scareddd to get acrylics because my nails are so thin, They've bent back& broken from opening a drawer/random everyday things. Yes I've tried hardener, etc, the ONLY time they were 'normal' was when I had a hospital stay 4-5days. I wasn't getting lots of IV's or anything, I just wasn't WASHING dishes, cleaning, etc. I couldn't take all that buffing at All, so I'm glad you let an Amateur know how it can be sometimes! 😘
Yea I I think that’s the reason people clean with gloves to protect their nails because the harsh chemicals and just in general all the harshness of cleaning

Stories like this always remind me about how thankful I am for my beautician. My mum has been going to her for around 20 years, and myself for 5/6 years. I rarely got my nails done by her as I only recently turned 19 and we weren’t supposed to have painted nails or acrylics or anything in school (I wasn’t fussed about this, I didn’t really care) but now that I am out of school and I’m earning my own money and can drive, I go every 2-3 weeks to get mine done by her. It takes her around an hour to remove my previous gel polish off, apply some type of protective layers and then actually paint my new nails. As far as I’m aware, she doesn’t do any intricate designs or anything extravagant but I’ve dainty hands and I personally prefer the simpler, cuter look. She is a lovely individual who doesn’t live far from us at all who we trust completely and a huge bonus is that her prices are great! I can get my nails done for £13!
I hope that we can all eventually find a nail tech that is great and we can all trust, but at the same time doesn’t charge too much. Seems almost impossible in today’s world but I wish you all luck! ❤️

Your right when I was in school as a kid you could get a full set for $15-25
I had to stop putting polish on my toe nails at all. They were yellow and flaky. I always wore polish to hide it! One day my nail tech told me it was from wearing polish too much so I waited until winter, took off the polish, and grew my nails out. Sure enough, the new growth was healthy and clean. Now I don’t wear polish on my toes except like the Dior nail glow, and that makes them look even more vibrant and clean but doesn’t have color besides a slight pink tint. I change it often and leave it off for a while as long as I can. I always thought I just had nasty toe nails but it turned out using the polish to hide them was the whole problem that was causing it.

I’ll never forget the time I was getting acrylic on my nails and the lady was taking off my nails with a nail tip and ripped my nail off 😫 gosh I was in so much pain!! I stopped getting acrylic and started getting the dip powder and got a fungus 😒
