This is not what bts usually sounds like. They love and not afraid to try and experiment different genres. So if you will react to their other old songs you will hear an R&B, hiphop, pop, ballad, edm, and more genres. The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out" "Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project. “With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09. My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh. There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

Your reactions are so great cuz of your energy! You nice, keep going! But please don't compare BTS and Blackpink. Although I totally understand that that's the only other group you've seen so it's natural to compare but some fans can be toxic and take it to extremes creating fan wars in the comments section. On another note, Dynamite doesn't represent what BTS are at all. It was a song made during the pandemic to cheer people up and it was their first english release so the lyrics weren't written by themselves and don't hold much of a deep meaning. Of course that's not a bad thing, all of their 3 english songs are more fun and dance kinda songs to just chill although Butter is slightly closer to their normal style. Then again they don't have a fixed style of music at all cuz their discography of over 200 songs spans several genres and they're all incredibly talented lyricists especially the rap line, RM, SUGA and JHope and responsible for most of their lyrics. People have recommended some songs for starting off in the comments. I'd love to see your reactions to them and your opinion of BTS after. Also lyrics are a huge huge part of their songs and why ARMYs love them so much so just a heads up to always pay attention to the lyrics. Kpop is a huge rabbit hole. You never know what you're gonna get. Every group is different, there's groups that do bubble gum pop, others implement rock/metal into their music, some groups are more hip hop/rnb centered, the possibilites are endless tbh. There's even groups that do all types of genres and never stick to one, BTS is one of those groups. Edit: Also If I were you, I wouldn't compare BTS and Blackpink 😅. They're both vastly different groups and small (but very vocal) portions of both fandoms tend to be very toxic towards each other and the groups. This is their first full English song they released and they are known to experiment with many different sounds. They started off with hip hop when they debuted in 2013 and they have done many genres as the years passed. And they weren't very known back then because Big Hit was a small company. They have grown vastly and now they are global phenomenon. You should check out their older songs and see the difference. And maybe get to know them and their story, it's amazing, there is alot of helpful guide videos on YT. Trust me, they are popular for a reason🙌🏽
They actually have a full storyline of their old music videos, it's a universe they create in their music video which is crazy, just like movie series. They do have tons of crazy videos, such as fake love, DNA, blood sweat and tears, fire, idol, ON (This song has two videos, one focus on dancing and one made like a movie)...etc.. Moreover, even I am also a blink, but BTS live performance (especially award show performance) is totally SOMETHING ELSE, a whole next level, which you won't want to miss.
Like many have said try some older stuff, its amazing. But I also suggest watch on your own or even react to some mini documentaries made by fans that go right back to the beginning to learn how they were formed, their personalities, their hardships getting to the top of where they are now, it wasn't easy for them its amazing to see . The difference between black pink and Bts is that Bts music have substance. Bts wrote their music, produce, and even direct their music too. Bts music video have so much meaning and references. They even have a storyline that connected throughout their music videos. No other group even come close to bts level now.
The thing with BTS is that their success is kind of like a miracle. A bit unrealistic, to be exact. The kpop industry was dominated by the "big three" agencies of kpop, and if you were a group debuting from those agencies, you were guaranteed success because the agency has absolute power. For example, Blackpink debuted under YG (one of the big three) so their success was just guaranteed. With BTS, its a bit different cuz BTS came from a very tiny company that was going bankrupt. They had to go through some shit to succeed, and their success story is unprecedented in the history of kpop. Its actually a miracle that such a small group from an agency that was falling apart managed to climb their way up to this level. Hard working guys, imo. They practiced dancing 12 hours a day, not to mention the singing, and all the other stuff. They all studied quite hard too (all of them are in/graduared from uni, which is difficult to see in kpop since some groups just drop out during high school)
Iirc,5 of them are now doing MBAs,Jimin & Tae graduated at the same time last year and started their MBA course in October(I think),RM,Hobi & Suga doing theirs.Jin stopped his master's but might have continued by now.

Can def tell you guys model, and BTS kinda do too! Quite recently this year, they modelled the Louis Vuitton collection (HOPE I think) and there's videos online! If there's any thing you guys want to take away from BTS, it's that no song of theirs is the same. They've done, pop, sure, but also rock, hiphop, heavy rap, soul, RNB, EDM, Emo Rock, Funk Rap, Urban, Trap, Dance Pop, Ballads etc... I think it's part of the reason they have such a big fan base - now I listen to genres that I thought weren't really my cup of tea that BTS introduced me to. Honestly I would be super keen to watch and support you guys discover BTS further! x

They sound Americanised cause American audience is pretty biased and don't want to listen to songs that are not in English. And Grammy is pretty racist so yeah. Also don't compare them with blackpink, even though they're both "kpop groups" bts has shattered multiple records and boundaries. Blackpink are deemed as the Queens of kpop while BTS are deemed as the Kings. You really can't compare them after only seeing one video. I recommend you watch more videos of both. Comparison usually can't really be done in either case, but I do recommend you watch more content before deciding which group you tend to like more.

With the exception of a few songs, BTS write and compose most of their own music. They also produce quite a few of them as well. Some of the members also write and produce for other Artists. Please don't compare them to other groups, especially not based off of a video made last year when they had restrictions.

Please do not generalize BTS with this one song which does not really represent what BTS can do. By now, I think they have over 300 songs in their discography . As much as I love this song, Dynamite and their English singles do not do BTS's discography justice. 1. This music video isn't as good as their other music videos. For example, *Blood Sweat and Tears* , *Spring Day* , *DNA* , *Mic Drop* , *Fake Love* , *Black Swan* and *ON* (BLACKPINK has great music videos but BTS has better: harder choreography, heavier symbolism, better artistic references, cinematography, deeper lyricism and incredible storylines) 3. Unlike BLACKPINK, BTS make most of their own songs but Dynamite is barely written by BTS and it's commercially used as a marketing tactic to target the American market. 4. BTS's self produced Korean songs are way better in quality, sincerity, relatability, lyricism and versatility. They sell more albums than any other artists in the world and broke at least 23 Guinness World Records with their music. BTS stands for BangTanSonyeondan = Bulletproof Boyscouts. This name signifies the group's desire "to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets" 80% of BTS songs are not solely about romance or breakups but about psychology, friendships, female empowerment, self reflection, self development, society, social injustices and their fans. The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out"
"Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project.
“With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09.
My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh.
There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

Your reactions are so great cuz of your energy! You nice, keep going! But please don't compare BTS and Blackpink. Although I totally understand that that's the only other group you've seen so it's natural to compare but some fans can be toxic and take it to extremes creating fan wars in the comments section. On another note, Dynamite doesn't represent what BTS are at all. It was a song made during the pandemic to cheer people up and it was their first english release so the lyrics weren't written by themselves and don't hold much of a deep meaning. Of course that's not a bad thing, all of their 3 english songs are more fun and dance kinda songs to just chill although Butter is slightly closer to their normal style. Then again they don't have a fixed style of music at all cuz their discography of over 200 songs spans several genres and they're all incredibly talented lyricists especially the rap line, RM, SUGA and JHope and responsible for most of their lyrics. People have recommended some songs for starting off in the comments. I'd love to see your reactions to them and your opinion of BTS after. Also lyrics are a huge huge part of their songs and why ARMYs love them so much so just a heads up to always pay attention to the lyrics. Often times it takes more than 1 listen to dissect the meaning of the lyrics.

Kpop is a huge rabbit hole. You never know what you're gonna get. Every group is different, there's groups that do bubble gum pop, others implement rock/metal into their music, some groups are more hip hop/rnb centered, the possibilites are endless tbh. There's even groups that do all types of genres and never stick to one, BTS is one of those groups.
Edit: Also If I were you, I wouldn't compare BTS and Blackpink 😅. They're both vastly different groups and small (but very vocal) portions of both fandoms tend to be very toxic towards each other and the groups. I say this as an armyblink who has witnessed and experienced the toxicity.

But I also suggest watch on your own or even react to some mini documentaries made by fans that go right back to the beginning to learn how they were formed, their personalities, their hardships getting to the top of where they are now, it wasn't easy for them its amazing to see . The difference between black pink and Bts is that Bts music have substance. Bts wrote their music, produce, and even direct their music too. Bts music video have so much meaning and references. They even have a storyline that connected throughout their music videos. No other group even come close to bts level now.

The thing with BTS is that their success is kind of like a miracle. A bit unrealistic, to be exact. The kpop industry was dominated by the "big three" agencies of kpop, and if you were a group debuting from those agencies, you were guaranteed success because the agency has absolute power. For example, Blackpink debuted under YG (one of the big three) so their success was just guaranteed.
With BTS, its a bit different cuz BTS came from a very tiny company that was going bankrupt. They had to go through some shit to succeed, and their success story is unprecedented in the history of kpop. Its actually a miracle that such a small group from an agency that was falling apart managed to climb their way up to this level. Hard working guys, imo. They practiced dancing 12 hours a day, not to mention the singing, and all the other stuff. They all studied quite hard too (all of them are in/graduared from uni, which is difficult to see in kpop since some groups just drop out during high school)
Iirc,5 of them are now doing MBAs,Jimin & Tae graduated at the same time last year and started their MBA course in October(I think),RM,Hobi & Suga doing theirs.Jin stopped his master's but might have continued by now.

If there's any thing you guys want to take away from BTS, it's that no song of theirs is the same. They've done, pop, sure, but also rock, hiphop, heavy rap, soul, RNB, EDM, Emo Rock, Funk Rap, Urban, Trap, Dance Pop, Ballads etc... I think it's part of the reason they have such a big fan base - now I listen to genres that I thought weren't really my cup of tea that BTS introduced me to.

These are pretty different from Butter or permission to dance or Dynamite.(Only these three songs are fully English.These three songs have been written in English since the Pandemic to give energy to people around the world.) And, all of their music videos provide English subtitles. :)
Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful.
Or, I think it would be good to follow a story line. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first.
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :)
Additionally, BTS' agency doesn't take issue with copyrights for their official videos. Therefore, videos uploaded on their official channels, HYBE Label and BANGTANTV, won't be blocked. :)

With the exception of a few songs, BTS write and compose most of their own music. They also produce quite a few of them as well. Some of the members also write and produce for other Artists.
Please don't compare them to other groups, especially not based off of a video made last year when they had restrictions.

Please do not generalize BTS with this one song which does not really represent what BTS can do. By now, I think they have over 300 songs in their discography . BTS are well known to have some of the best video production on their MV's. They sing, rap, dance, write, produce and act. Subscribing for more BTS. Thank-you.
As much as I love this song, Dynamite and their English singles do not do BTS's discography justice.
1. This music video isn't as good as their other music videos. For example, *Blood Sweat and Tears* , *Spring Day* , *DNA* , *Mic Drop* , *Fake Love* , *Black Swan* and *ON*
(BLACKPINK has great music videos but BTS has better: harder choreography, heavier symbolism, better artistic references, cinematography, deeper lyricism and incredible storylines)
3. Unlike BLACKPINK, BTS make most of their own songs but Dynamite is barely written by BTS and it's commercially used as a marketing tactic to target the American market.
4. BTS's self produced Korean songs are way better in quality, sincerity, relatability, lyricism and versatility. They sell more albums than any other artists in the world and broke at least 23 Guinness World Records with their music.
BTS stands for BangTanSonyeondan = Bulletproof Boyscouts.
This name signifies the group's desire "to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets"
80% of BTS songs are not solely about romance or breakups but about psychology, friendships, female empowerment, self reflection, self development, society, social injustices and their fans.
They make songs for the purpose of healing their listeners who are struggling mentally. Songs like *Magic Shop* and *Answer: Love Myself* gave me a newfound confidence and saved me when I was at my lowest.
Also, no one alive can beat BTS in performing. (Along with Michael Jackson and Queen, BTS is one of the 12 artists in history to sell out Wembley Stadium)

And their solo/partnership songs are pure art, such as The Truth Untold, House of Cards, Singularity, Friends, Winter Bear, Epiphany, Filter, Serindipity, Begin, 4 o'clock and My Time. I really can't understand why some people can't digest the fact that blackpink is also famous & most successful k-pop girl band. I mean we have seen bts members enjoying blackpink songs... But no, some army just hate the fact that someone praised blackpink. I mean why can't we love both? Just enjoy them both as they actually are "KINGS & QUEENS OF K-POP" It's really disheartening to see many people think that blackpink is only about MVs.
