I always found it funny that Ozzy is so easy to understand when he sings...then it falls apart when he speaks 😂 I am glad that it wasn't just metal bands here...because you are right! People can say they understand...but they don't. I have to read lyrics for some of my favorite bands, and then it all starts to make sense! This was great! You should definitely do more like this. Oh! You know that awesome 12ft skeleton that Home Depot has? I finally got one!! 💀 He has been named Reginald Q Skellington Esq...Attorney at Law. I felt like he needed a regal name. I was going to put him up this weekend, but Florida may get some sort of tropical storm this week, and I don't want to chance it. I hope you have an awesome weekend 😊
Yeah, I tried not to keep it ALL metal. As tempting as it is. Haha! I may have to do a follow up with metal, and mumble rap. 🤣 I got the 12ft skeleton last year!! I LOVE IT!!! Why am I not surprised you're putting up your Halloween stuff already? 😁
Yoko Ono definitely deserves her own spot. The reason she wasn't mentioned more is most likely because there are probably less than 200 people left alive that have ever heard her "sing?".
Serj from SOAD actually has some extremely clear vocals. Even the rapid-fire section early in Chop Suey can be understood when isolated, and outside of that section of the song everything else is enunciated immaculately
Actually, Cocteau Twins are intentionally incomprehensible - they originate from Scotland and many of their lyrics are written either in a rare scottish dialect or are just nonsense. They play dream pop, which, similarly to ambient, makes atmosphere and the sound of the vocals alone more important than the message of the song. EDIT The same case with My Bloody Valentine.
So I picked one at random, called Carolyn's fingers and listened through. Ngl, it's beautiful! Then I pulled up the lyrics, and it is 100% English. Even following along with the words on screen it is nearly impossible to hear the words. But I love it and it's going in my playlist. :)

11:18 wtf how did you not here what it said it clearly said the great pacific garbage patch is exhausting how did you not hear that
i appreciate stevie's consideration and leniency towards others nationalities in this video!
He wasn't lenient towards Alt-J who are British. I can understand them 😂
yeah but he's just plain incomprehensible lol
@@theamazingtommo let's put it to the test, I have never looked the lyrics up. The song is Breezeblocks - listening to the clip, I think the lyrics are "she may contain the urge to run away but I'll hold her down with soggy clothes and Breezeblocks [then not sure] your fever's with me again never kisses or sends postcards" - I will let you tell me if I am right at all - I guess I just feel they shouldn't be right at the bottom. I think that our man just put them their because he doesn't like indie.
@@s.j.denham1757 ok, so the lyrics are "She may contain the urge to run away, but hold her down with soggy clothes and breezeblocks. Citrezene, your fevers gripped me again, never kisses, all you ever send are fullstops"
so uh, how did u decipher most of that? I thought i did a bit at one point, but that was mostly wrong. How'd u do it?
As a French person, I never understood the lyrics of American songs. I thought I was just bad at English, but that's not the case. Thank you for shedding light on that.
P.S.: Our teachers always advised us to listen to British singers.
07:47 I heard "order of the potato"
sounds more like ‘order a potato’
I miss Sia in this list. Whenever I hear something from her I barely understand anything.
As an appreciater of smells like teen spirit, the four words mulatto, albino, mosquito and libido are crystal clear to me
4:10 my favorite face in this video
Can you imagine how many days it takes Ozzy to get through 1 line of his lyrics. The time between between albums is mostly getting him to sing into a mic and then getting the right song out of him.
You never disappoint us ✨
That Pearl Jam song. I swear he had a bet with someone that he could sing a whole song without touching his lips once and people would still buy it.
11:05 the great pacific garbage patch is exhausting
3:05 i was not expecting that noise. I actually choked on my food laughing listening to that.
Not a single mention of Scott Stapp?! He could fill the whole list by himself!
Stapp seems to be copying Eddie Vedder.
Stevie YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE RUclipsR EVER
Hey Steve! I can understand Yoko very clearly! I’m surprised some people don’t. I love her music a lot because it’s really raw and emotional, she has a beautiful voice! I personally love her: AÀÂAĀÆÆEEÊÆĒEEĖĘÊ and her: OØÖÔOØOÒÖŒĒEŒEEÈÉĒE
everyone who wants to skip the sponsor the time stamp is

Nirvana sounds quite different live than radio play or streaming songs. I actually can hear the lyrics as clear as day. These videos always entertain me.
5:54 and i'm sus, sorry
I was having a horrible day steve but you’ve made it a whole lot better thanks man.
The cannibal corpse section made me cry with laughter! Love your content stevie!
You make me laugh you make me scream laugh I watch it early everyday you may have been my 1st time but That doesn't matter You make me laugh everyday and that makes my day
My dad hates you now because he HATES Red Hot Chili Peppers and anytime they come on the radio he just starts say the most unitellagabple things you have ever heard
21:10 I'm british' and even I can't understand those lyrics. God.
SAME AND SAME
Same, I had to turn on subtitles to fing out that he’s saying “don’t call it a fight when you know it’s a war”
When the "Teen Spirit" video ran on MTV the first two weeks or so they actually ran subtitles under the video just long enough until everyone in America knew them. Even with that sort of ridiculous first, I knew as soon as I saw the video that it would change everything in rock music.
Alt-J made me inhale the last part of my drink- and caught me so off guard, holy crap

I have been a fan of yours for a few years now! You are so funny and watching your videos really makes my day! Keep up the good work Steve!!!! ❤
I see you would agree with me, then
