Actually, Cocteau Twins are intentionally incomprehensible - they originate from Scotland and many of their lyrics are written either in a rare scottish dialect or are just nonsense. They play dream pop, which, similarly to ambient, makes atmosphere and the sound of the vocals alone more important than the message of the song. EDIT The same case with My Bloody Valentine.
So I picked one at random, called Carolyn's fingers and listened through. Ngl, it's beautiful! Then I pulled up the lyrics, and it is 100% English. Even following along with the words on screen it is nearly impossible to hear the words. But I love it and it's going in my playlist. :)

This video was very funny, I love your humor! Thanks for making this!
lol among Yoko Crackhoe's issues is not just: wtf did she just say (accent) also:wtf did she just say: the making a coherent thought kind! and also: wtf did she just say? the enunciation speaking and singing distinctly kind
Funny enough, there are home videos of Kurt shredding. Not modern day sweeps and shit, but like Zeppelin solos and things of that nature. He was actually a pretty solid guitarist, but his grunge style just didn't NEED the shredzzz
Hey Steve, great video!! I have to say, I actually understand Ozzy’s speaking voice very well! I hope you have a good time up North! And happy birthday again to your mum! ❤ P.S. I saw under last video some thirsty comments - is this why you started to tease with your nippages? 🤣
Interesting! I didn't see any suggestions for Matt Bellamy. Unless I missed it. But VERY accurate!! Haha! Uh oh... I exposed my nippages AGAIN!!! Guess it's more thirsty comments for Stevie!! 😆
This is true of most of their songs, some of their earliest catalogue used real words, as did some of the later catalogue, but the majority didn't. Still love them though, got to see them three times too. Just beautiful music
@@deedeewinchur also, Frank Black of the pixies and Kurt Cobain..in some songs..I think) used a similar approach to writing lyrics. Vocal melodies were sung with nonsense words that they later turned into words or phrases that didn’t have much meaning contextually. It’s a sort of cut and paste approach to lyrics. Like the meaning is secondary. How the syllables and sounds fit into a melody is more important than what the words mean in context. I don’t know. I always found it an interesting approach to lyrics. Sometimes they’re not the point of a song. Sometimes they’re what make a song great.
@@Thephilmills yes definitely Cocteau Twins is amazing. Elisabeth Fraser has such a beautiful voice. She did a stunning cover version of Tim Buckley's Song to a siren on the first This Mortal Coil album. God that brings back memories, I'm going to listen to Victorialand...

I am so happy to hear that I'm not the only person that ignores lyrics! I only listen to the music, I listen to each instrument closely and visualize what they are playing. My wife is a vocalist so she is the opposite and is all about them lyrics and it drives her crazy that I can't bring myself to care even a little about lyrics.
17:17 "Tim, my team Reporters battle Trump 10 o'clock, look at that - little plane! fine then..." My interpretation that some journalist tells his friend Tim about his journalist coalition group that they're planning to settle their differences with Trump (for calling them "fake news") in a fistfight at 10, then the plan changed because they've witnessed someone crashing a plane into Trump's HQ and so he died so they got the advantage regardless.
Phil Bozeman from Whitechapel has always been incredibly consistant and understandable with all his screams and growls. I just felt he needs to be praised for it ;D
As a metal head who has been a metal fan for most of my life, in usually only understanding about 60% of the lyrics and then the rest has a nice rhythm. Quite frankly, it's about as understandable as half of the rap that's out now, so... I've always found the more recent rappers to be more like rock stars than rappers, and this was one of the reasons why. That and the commitment of just about every rapper now to a melody, where you can often hear the inspiration from grunge and hard rock styles in their vocals. Uncle's in some cases. Even metal styles like with Denzel curry. Most most of Denzel's early music has a high pitch very intense metal-esque delivery. Like yes, some of the new rappers are inspired by other rappers, but there is heavy influence from grunge, punk, and metal. And that's not just Machine Gun Kelly. It's almost my whole generation and our little brothers and sisters. We like it because we like 90s rock. They like it because they like the emo s*** that came after and new metal Lincoln Park Paramore and. My Chemical Romance are the 3 most refer to inspirations that I've come across, It may be some Bullet For My Valentine, which I didn't listen to but a lot of people did, and now there's a whole emo rap genre and s*** like. Like mostly the music that I listen to in middle school and high school is the music that inspired a lot of these young artists. Like Lil Nas X is a pop singer, but he has some serious Nirvana influences, and you can hear it in a lot of his earlier music (Panini Lil Nas X and In Bloom Nirvana).
Holy shit. Stevie T, you make me laugh so hard that I almost shat myself during every video!! This shit is comedic gold. Why don't you have a Netflix special already?

Both Tom Waits and Yoko both have songs where you can understand them. Sometimes.
Tom Waits still does music. Yoko Ono is doing noise as art.
lol among Yoko Crackhoe's issues is not just: wtf did she just say (accent) also:wtf did she just say: the making a coherent thought kind! and also: wtf did she just say? the enunciation speaking and singing distinctly kind
With the captions on this is gold, especially when body parts are mentioned.
The interview clip of Ozzy cracked me up 😂😂
All I heard was random rad stuff! It is awesome that you are able to do this for us! Please keep uploading till you can no longer upload!
You should make a list of guitarists that don’t really shred but make amazing riffs ( like Kurt Cobain or Joan Jett)
Funny enough, there are home videos of Kurt shredding. Not modern day sweeps and shit, but like Zeppelin solos and things of that nature. He was actually a pretty solid guitarist, but his grunge style just didn't NEED the shredzzz
@@xVDRx Kurt was garbage and so is zepplin.
Hey Steve, great video!! I have to say, I actually understand Ozzy’s speaking voice very well! My dad had a friend who spoke just like him, so I guess I have experience in Ozzy dialect lol 😂 with Brian Johnson, I had a hard time understanding what he was singing on the Fly on the Wall album, the other albums I understand him clearly. Have a great weekend 😁 also, I heard Call of the Martyrs last night, it was phenomenal, I love it ❤️
Interesting!! I was convinced Ozzy wasn't saying actual words 50% of the time!! 🤣
Thanks!! I'm quite happy with how that solo turned out. Glad Marc thought it was good enough!! 😁
@@SteveTerreberryI also understand oozy because
I haven’t laughed so hard in such a long time. Thank you, I just subscribed!
Thanks for the new wallpaper 8:56
I am so happy to see that someone I admire musically has the same opinion I have about Yoko Ono's music.
14:36 Ozzy having 2 different things is absolutely hilarious but 100% necessary

THAT VERY GROSS, THAT BROTHER GIRL, I SWEAR ON JELLY
Not the pickle falling a 20:26 😭😭 btw love you……r videos 🥰
OH MY GOD I'M CRYING, I'M LAUGHING, I'M COUGHING! I'm about to go for a party and my make up is gone in tears 🤣
The moment you said Smashing Pumpkins I was already going "WYAAAAAAA" 🤪🤣And Yoko Oh-NO deserves her own tier! She's such significant vocalist (??) she had to!🤪Mentioning Tom Waits, I was "Oh no Steve, prepare for weird unexplainable gibberish". That dude is something special xD Also I'm surprised Matt Bellamy is not on the list😂 He's singing is quite okay-ish but the inteviews... oh man, he deserves place right next to Ozzy 🤣 I enjoyed the video so much, Steve! I hope you have a good time up North! And happy birthday again to your mum! ❤
@SteveTerreberry did you actually checked Muse? 😮 and oh god, I see now it will start the armaggeddon 🤣
Haha always love your passion for metal.. the snapping dance move to cannibal corpse gave me the giggly goops
When at a dance, I always suggest Cannibal Corpse. Who says you can't dance to that!!? 😤
Steve if your reading this you inspired me to play guitar and be who I am now thank you
Been following him since 2013. Funny dude with great talent
It’s harder to say “incoherent” than the text in the thumbnail 😂
11:06 the great pacifist guy makes Patrick exhausted.
How is it Satisfactory speech, when you can't understand what the hell they are saying?
Fun fact: the Cocteau twins even said most of their lyrics were nonsense words. Just (beautiful) vocal melodies.
That's very true
I think Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance said something similar. She sings gibberish just for the sake of the sound.
''MY PUP HAD GAASSS'' it's the hardest I have ever laughed and it always will be
Fact of the day: We find Steve weird but still find ourselves coming back to watch his videos.
Because he’s funny as hell 😂😂😂
wow what an original comment
I don't find him weird.
Fact of the day: this comment appears on nearly every video of Stevie T's.
Why he show his 🙊 🙊🙊🙊🙊 nippers
3:32 did he say "you feet is screaming"
I think he said you’re feet are screaming again
i think is missing fevis 😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure he said "your fever's screaming again"
Now I hear, "Your feet is creepy again."
Nvm, I hear, "Your feet is creamy again."
Now, "Your feet is creaming again."
20:36 why'd you leave the kids up on the table 😂😂🎉🎉
i love that stevie replies to so many of his comments, it shows how much he loves his community
Stevie always drops fire stuff fr
To be fair to Shaggy & Sean Paul, Jamaican Patois is practically its own language
Literally I mean most soca is kinda hard to understand but if you know the lingo it’s somewhat easier
ariana grande: "write my own checks like i write what i sing" while not even writing her own songs
stevie: *has a stroke*
love u steve
14:05 I hear "a melado, hell if I know, I'm a skittle, not a beetle"
IM A SKITTLE 😝😝😝
I heard a similar thing, except I kinda hear “I’m a vinyl” in the second part

Kurt is unintelligible
7:41 its just amazing that stevie was wearing a patrick shirt while listening to metal patrick star music
Does sound like Patrick
"PATRICK'S IS EXHAUSTING" because he can't pronounce?
I loved this! There are so many others you could mention for a part two
Absolutely hilarious!! 😂 On Red Hot Chili Peppers, Confide with sly up in a wind tub sounded like Dale Kobble was saying it. Loved it! ❤️
I love whenever Steve does stuff like these, he breaks into laughing his butt off. And I love it.
Hey Stevie T, love this video and the content you produce and create on your channel. And love you as a creator and mentor artist as well as as a musician too. I also love this video of yours it makes me happy and laugh so hard I feel like I could die laughing on my bedroom floor every time I watch this video in particular. So keep up the good and hilarious videos and content you create for us the audience.

Never change steve
19:24 I honestly thought you'd just repeated what you'd just said and not played the Smashing Pumpkins track. Your impression was spot on!
8:05 the thing is, that even if you do have a grasp of what they’re saying, the lyrics are usually so over the top you’re never sure.
You're the best Stevie T.! Thank you for the laughs.
19:15 I’ve done the same damn thing whenever Smashing Pumpkins popped into conversation 🤣

17:17 "Tim, my team Reporters battle Trump 10 o'clock, look at that - little plane! fine then..."
My interpretation that some journalist tells his friend Tim about his journalist coalition group that they're planning to settle their differences with Trump (for calling them "fake news") in a fistfight at 10, then the plan changed because they've witnessed someone crashing a plane into Trump's HQ and so he died so they got the advantage regardless.
It’s easy to understand
Surprisingly, I understood Tom Waits perfectly. He said 'My head is spinning round. My heart is in my shoes.".
12:15 nice censor STEVIE T
I was having a horrible day steve but you’ve made it a whole lot better thanks man.
you never fail to make me laugh
Phil Bozeman from Whitechapel has always been incredibly consistant and understandable with all his screams and growls. I just felt he needs to be praised for it ;D
Your praise is noted, agreeable, and he very much deserves it.
THERE'S NOWHERE LEFT TO RUN
THERE'S NOWHERE LEFT FOR ME TO BE
WITHOUT YOU BY MY SIDE
That's the most creative RUclips video greeting I've ever seen 😁
I love tier lists. I'm a visual creature. I'm also a classical mezzo soprano and in classical singing, the higher you are singing the more the words get a little warped lol. Omg Bob Dylan cracked me up. My old guitar teacher used to call Bon Iver "bon ee-VARE" lol
That's true Cass!! That's probably why I can't understand Yoko. She's an obvious 'soprano'!! 😆
Bon ee-VARE??? I guess if he was French? Haha!
Hi, your music teacher was right. It is pronounced Bon -eevair.
French, meaning good winter.
@@deedeewinchur Technically but that’s not how he spelled it. But that’s where he took the name from. OK?

Yoko Ono. Is that you?
5:28 . I think that's the kid from the pepper spray meme
12:27: I love how the band called “HateBeak” is so talented at making bird sounds that are a cross between a demon, a parrot and a crow... and possibly somehow a raven… “rAAAH! rAAAH! rAAAH! rAAAH!”.
It’s a literal bird…
@@SlyHikari03 But… I thought it was a singer who was talented at making demonic bird sounds… Are you sure it’s an actual bird and not a talented bird-sounding metal vocalist?
