This video basically summed up all the reasons why I haven’t been or stepped foot on the garden yet. And also I’m still making a recording from last year of me getting 20farming levels from melon minions. 😂 Epic video man! Your like Implodent but, for farming
When you get to the "building the farm" part, it is a bit confusing because you use terms like "other side" and "onto the lane" while looking at a row of dirt that is indistinguishable from the dirt that was shown before you moved.
the only issue I have with these farms is that they all say to use a full length of plots. for novice-mid level farms, unlocking a whole row of plots is damn expensive. you're looking at like... 80M in compost if bought from Bazaar, or tons of time if making the compost yourself (and still money with fuel, if you haven't maxed out the composter)
That's a very good idea on paper but what about mooshroom melon sugarcane etc. I still think a super farm like grovemandan's is gonna be more than enough, I don't see this being used in any other scenario other than endgame where you have all the plots unlocked
its definitely an "endgame" style of farm. It does not work for mushroom/melon. there is a sugarcane style and I'll be releasing a video for all crops in the near future

I had to make a new modded instance to only run skyhannni, neu, and patcher (for crop hitboxes) farming 3 wheat at a time with 219% speed gives 20bps while needing less lane switches making it better.
Are you somehow using skyhanni to get different crop hitboxes? When i set my pitch between 0 and -3 and my yaw to 45, i cant break any crops for some reason
Two questions: What is the reason for placing the trap doors? @9:46 What is the reason for the line of blocks going over the top? @9:51 Thank you in advance
trap doors reduce the time it takes to switch back to the 2nd lane making the switch easier; if you want experiment w/ trapdoors and without and you'll notice it helps the line of blocks stops you from bobbing out because there is no longer water there both great questions!
The order you gave some info was certainly... interesting. 👀 It's a great design, don't get me wrong. But the way you presented the info was just... Peculiar. Don't mind me as I fly off the edge on the opposite side of the farm cause there's void there when you get 5 plots (I didn't actually do this but a newbie prolly would). Also don't mind me as I manually recount every row across the plot to make the rows 5 wide instead of 3 wide (I did do this, because you said to build it not like you were doing and to make it 5 plots in length, then got the audience back on track when you showed 3 rows). Did I mention the builders ruler only places 96 blocks in a row max? Not only did I have to recount those rows manually to make it 5 wide, but I had to do it 5 times for each set of 5 rows (Due to that limitation). You did mention the blocks above the trapdoors, I believe this was for setting up the row above? You didn't show what the next row looked like so it's not evident if one hasn't built multi-layer farms. Also tried to visit your garden just to see if you had it public for peeps to see the design in full action, but that was a negative. Although I don't think you need to do that anyways. Edit: Thank you for including the different speeds for different row widths

I know you have replied to many other comments like mine showing how It would be immposible to have all of the crops be on 1 layer. o/o/, the alpha changes do pose some sort of threat, though I think you can comfortably get away with 2*5 (10) plots of space, and seeing as the jiggle is removed + w/ spray it is only 1x per hour that we need to remove them the entire thing isn't incredibly bad, either way we are working on designs that are just 2key and ignore all pests, video out soonish hopefully my discord is just "draipp" if you want to talk!
can you go at a slower speed with the wider farm to keep the 20 bps but also have more time for lane switch, reason i ask is 327 is optimal for cane because it is only 2 wide and you cant get it to be more because of the way the cane HAS to be next to water for it to grow, im asumming that aslong as you have 20 bps it doesnt really matter but if you go for say a 4 (5 wouldnt work i dont think because of reach being shortend due to the 45° angle) wide and break all the crops in the diagonal instead of missing the back row you could potentially save room on your farm leaving more space for other farms. other than that great video and a super fun watch, keep up the good work and 23lives might just bless you with a copyright strike lmao😂 (but really good video though honestly)

Hey, nice idea, love to this implemented into "normal crops" as i used it for years with sugar cane. But i just have a question, you showed us how to do this on one plot (aka a square) how would you enlarge it to a whole row of plots (aka rectangle) ? Wouldn't you have the rows of crops on the long side of the rectangle, to lane switch less often ? I'm confused Also, you only build one layer of these, does this grow back when you finish a round ? Either way thanks a lot for the video :)
I've been using this farm design for about A month and it's really efficient, but one problem is that when I push button A back at 45°, I sometimes get stuck in the dirt square on the left
same thing happens to me but i don't think it has anything to do with the design. it's either a hypixel or 1.8 bug. for some reason you phase into blocks when coming at them from a certain angle.
Sharing my own experience, I was unable to break the wheat on 1.8.9 without a much lower pitch, due to 1.8 hitboxes. I had to download the Patcher mod to fix this, if there are other alternatives, please comment. Another confusion, the on-screen text for yaw and pitch shows 45 and -3 to 0. However, his in-game yaw and pitch were -45 and positive 3. Which is right?
this farm does not work with 4 or 5 block lanes, idk why you said it works even better in the video, also since this is a 3 lane only farm it would've been nice to show the optimal speed for 3 lane
I tried this with SkyHanni but the only version of the mod I could find was for 1.8.9 where the crops have the smaller hitbox. I could only farm 2 rows of crops that way because even wheat and nether warts have the small hitbox in this version. Which MC version are you playing and where did you find the SkyHanni version for it?
I know this is an old post, but it seems like this farm doesn't work anymore because the wheat hitbox is significantly smaller. What should I keep my pitch at now?
o/, this is not a patch just me being dumb and forgetting to mention mods most modern farms use 1.13+ hitboxes a mod called patcher can import 1.13 hitboxes into 1.8.9
What mod dis you use to show your exact yaw? Neu only shows like .00 but the one you were using showed like .000000. Thought the vid was great and might have to build the farm eventually! Also how many of these farms can you fit vertically?
1) how would you add a second layer as well as the water needed for later layers. 2) i can't get the pitch right to get more than 2 rows at a time, i can either get the first 2 of 3 or the last 2 but never more than 2
I think the speed is wrong... 327 with Depth Strider 3 is way too fast. I am on Depth Strider3 with 227 speed - it's close but you sometimes miss a wheat.
@@draiThePenguin first, u find a perfect farm, then u tell me that its stackable, u are fricking crazy !!!! Now we wait for the other 6 perfect farms 🤩
Really good video and im currently trying to build the design, but I cant figure out how to use the Builder's Wand while facing bedrock. Edit: You have to use builder's ruler.
@@draiThePenguin I think they updated something about the wand. When I look at the bedrock i cant place it and when I fly up a bit so that its out of reach it doesnt do anything. I have an infini dirt wand in the wand storage and enough coins.
How many rows would it take to be infinite on a 5 plot long farm if you had a max garden level? Surly it doesn't need to be the full width of the plot right? Also do you think all of your farm designs you are making will fit on 2 rows of five plots?
at the 2nd to final bend you miss 2 crops even w/ perfect timing so technically it would be like 19.99999999999 but if your farm is long enough your visitors would fill up before you even reach the end or if you're doing jacobs you can make the farm last longer than 20min making it *basically* 20bps

I had this idea before but never managed to execute it properly. Thank you for making this beautiful idea better than any of my previous attempts
glad other people are designing!
1.8.9 + patcher mod that imports 1.12 textures down
So quick question, one layer is infinite right? So I can stack wheat potato carrot and wart?
yep!
I know this is an old post, but it seems like this farm doesn't work anymore because the wheat hitbox is significantly smaller. What should I keep my pitch at now?
o/, this is not a patch just me being dumb and forgetting to mention mods
most modern farms use 1.13+ hitboxes
a mod called patcher can import 1.13 hitboxes into 1.8.9
@@draiThePenguin oh ok tysm
Admins work hard but skyblock farmers work harder
FINALLY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
!!!
waiting for that melon/pumpkin farm design release
you gained a sub, thank you!!!
What mod dis you use to show your exact yaw? Neu only shows like .00 but the one you were using showed like .000000. Thought the vid was great and might have to build the farm eventually! Also how many of these farms can you fit vertically?
that's skyhanni
Dang thanks for the fast response I will look for the option, thanks for the help!
@@draiThePenguin
ive never thought of this but its so smart, this would work with mushrooms but more blocks width right
this exact design does not work with mushrooms BUT I am working on a mushroom design I'll release soonish
it does work@@draiThePenguin
1) how would you add a second layer as well as the water needed for later layers.
2) i can't get the pitch right to get more than 2 rows at a time, i can either get the first 2 of 3 or the last 2 but never more than 2
I think the speed is wrong... 327 with Depth Strider 3 is way too fast. I am on Depth Strider3 with 227 speed - it's close but you sometimes miss a wheat.
ur not meant to get the 3rd row, its there as a safety net and to make sure you have more reaction time when switching
at 5:27 someone knows what mod this guy uses to get that big hitbox for his wheat ?
It's patcher by sk1er
how is bro sounding european and scottish at the same time
POV frediii puts u on, no but actually god video tho
Most deserved subscription
Hey dude what’s the texture pack that you use alongside furfsky reborn for the vanilla items?
barebonex 16x
Hey ! The design seems perfect at first, but, is it stackable, i mean one on top of the other to make carrot potato and netherwart in the same plot?
why not
yep you can stack up to 5 farms on top of one another; just place trapdoors on the blocks above where you are walking in the first layer
@@draiThePenguin first, u find a perfect farm, then u tell me that its stackable, u are fricking crazy !!!! Now we wait for the other 6 perfect farms 🤩
@wheatontop you'll lose the 20bps tho

Really good video and im currently trying to build the design, but I cant figure out how to use the Builder's Wand while facing bedrock.
Edit: You have to use builder's ruler.
are you too close to the block?
I dont think so, it says "Cannot use Builder's Wand on this block!" which makes sense since it tries to extend the bedrock one layer.
@@lenori1 you are probably not aiming at the top of the block
@@draiThePenguin I think they updated something about the wand. When I look at the bedrock i cant place it and when I fly up a bit so that its out of reach it doesnt do anything. I have an infini dirt wand in the wand storage and enough coins.
You need to have a block of dirt in the wand storage for it to not do this. The infinidirt wand can just be in your inventory and it works.@@lenori1
What version of minecraft are you using because on 1.8.9 (the version I've found works with all the mods) wheat has a really small hitbox
you need patcher, a mod that brings the 1.13 hitboxes to 1.8.9
@@draiThePenguin Thanks!
How many rows would it take to be infinite on a 5 plot long farm if you had a max garden level? Surly it doesn't need to be the full width of the plot right? Also do you think all of your farm designs you are making will fit on 2 rows of five plots?
9 rows at glvl15 for a guaranteed regrow. and all of them will not fit on 2 rows of 5. you would need 3 for all contest variants unfortunately
What are your texture packs I love em!
Got 466k wheat today with old stacked farms, hopefully this can put me past 500k tomorrow. New designs? o.O.
GENIUS VIDEO!
Underrated asf
Uhh i think i did everything right the speed, angle but i can only break 2 wheat at the same time?
Same problem
@@Pepcen uhh i realised ur not meant to farm 3 at the same time they are just there for you to not lose any for 3 block farm
This guy deserves my subscription
Hey !
Why are you not slowed by water?
I made the same farm but I can’t go that fast because of it
depth strider
helpful :D
whats the bpm of the farm after harvesting? is it exactly 20.0?
at the 2nd to final bend you miss 2 crops even w/ perfect timing so technically it would be like 19.99999999999
but if your farm is long enough your visitors would fill up before you even reach the end or if you're doing jacobs you can make the farm last longer than 20min making it *basically* 20bps
@@draiThePenguinomg I’ll lose 2 crops 😮
You can also get nuker and do 40bpm but I wouldnt recommend it to you cus that will get you banned
May I know what texture pack you’re using when he’s showing how to farm the farm
