Beautiful collage, Anouscka! I appreciate you sharing your art and the person behind the art journey. You're perspective is fresh and you are a delight.
I've never done collaging (it always looked too intimidating to me); watching you do it was so much fun! I love how you talked about your art style too! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
I just discovered your channel and it made me so happy! I just started documenting my art, and what you said about art style and the Instagram algorithm is so right! It can be so frustrating to not post whatever you want and instead make your posting decisions based on what Instagram "wants" you to post. I find that RUclips videos are more liberating and gives me more opportunities to explore new ways of creating and sharing. Thank you so much for this video ☺
OMG THANK YOU! I do surreal art, but I do different series in different styles. Yes, it's all surreal and creepy, but the styles are different. I see artists doing amazing work, but it's always the same. Like there's this one guy who does amazing realistic charcoal/graphite/oil pieces but then he takes bright acrylics and splashes it so that, say, a girl's hair is the splashes, or the sound coming from a gramophone is the splashes. But to me, that would be a series I do, not the only way I paint from here on out. You know? I would be so bored with just doing one type of art for the rest of my life and I thought there was something wrong g with me that I didn't ONLY paint creepy things in cardboard boxes, or black and white with acrylic splashes, or melting body parts on lacquered wood. And on top of my usual art I'm also really into Chinese brush painting/Japanese Sumi-e. Are we only allowed to do one "style" for the rest of our lives? If so I will happily be the artist with no personal style.
So glad it resonates with you 😍 This collage is sooo far away from what I‘m usually doing and it's such a shame that my brain was like "no you can't do this, it's not your way of doing art". I'm still trying to liberate myself from that stupid thoughts, cause in the end we should make EVERYTHING we want 🧡
I just subscribed! I liked your videos and you seem really "sympathisch" (fellow German here :D), so I'm looking forward to seeing more from you :) I like the typing and clicking sounds, when a text appears on the screen, it's actually helpful to follow^^ Thank you for your thoughts on art style. I feel like I have kind of the opposite "problem", and it kind of helped seeing someone wanting to break out of the idea of having to draw and paint in only one style. I do not have an art style, I can't decide on a medium and I feel like it's important to try different things, mediums, experiment, do what you want and what feels good to you! But as someone who doesn't have a style I think it is important to find some kind of starting point, something, that makes your art your art, something like a style, so that you can start experimenting from there. I long for the feeling of "that's me", "that feels like me". I feel like developing an art style could help with that, with finding your creative voice and being more confident in creating
Haha hallooooo 🙆🏼♀️ thank you so much for the support!! I think you have a point there - I can totally relate to that feeling of wanting your art to truly feel like It’s „yours“. And as I said, I was really pumped when I found a style that feels like me… Maybe it is more about finding your artistic voice reather than a fix art style 🤔
You are so good sharing. I just started a RUclips as well and I know it’s hard and inspiring. Congrats on your video making and story telling 🧡 I subscribed and hope to see more.
Thank you so so much!! The start is always the most difficult 😅 I think we just need to remember that it is worth it, cause we are just starting to build up our own little corner of the internet, with people that are truly supportive and kind. I just love that so much about RUclips 🥹🧡

@@anouschkafabre yes! I like that: finding your artistic voice instead of your style. That’s a nice way to look at it, I’m going to try that 💕
