    I finally figured it out. If you’re a former player, media is the best job to get into rather than management. Because if you’re wrong, you can still have a media job. If you’re wrong in management, you’re Peter Chiarelli.

      Michael Fu I cant tell if you’re joking, if you’re not, if somebody wants to pay Skinner 9M it doesn’t mean I should overpay my guy by 2-3M. Marner should be 9.5M MAX! • @michaelfusmusic9447
      @michaelfusmusic9447 5 лет назад

      D 17
      Well, you are right, I think Marner’s market value is around the 8.5-9.5 million dollar range realistically, but the thing is, lots of players this summer are demanding huge salaries. For example, Boeser wants 10 million per year at 8 years and Laine wants 15 million per year at 8 years. Players who aren’t as good as Mitch are demanding such high amounts, therefore we should not be surprised Marner wants the absolute maximum as well.

Nylanders career high to this day is 61 pts. No shit Draisatl's 9 pts in 37 gms as a teenager is going to bring down his final stats given he had just 2 full seasons at the time. Insane homer. I totally agree, he picked Marner over Pastrnak based solely on a hypothetical situation, and totally made his line with Tavares sound like a scrub line by saying what he said, which we all know they're not. He was the best player on the leafs last season, hes a player that drove that Tavares line all season and ofcourse tavares helps him a ton aswell but as a person who watched that line all 82 games there is no doubt that marner drove it all season long. People also seem to not notice that hes the best 2way forward on the team, his defensive play this season atleast deserved a selki nomination and I can definetly see heart and selki trophy nominations in his future. As much as I dont think he deserves the same money as Matthew's there is no question that so far he is the most consistent, hard working and constantly improving player on the team and aside from kucherov and scheiffele I take him over any of the players they mentioned any day of the week.

So yeah it's very very close and obviously points a third round pick but I still think I take marner considering it's very very close I just think marners ceiling in terms of special skill is just a bit higher, I think that if people are calling point the next Bergeron which is a bit much if you ask me then I'd say marner is comparable (if not potentially even better) to that of datsyuk.
