Can we take a moment to acknowledge the incredible acting of Sharon Stone?? All of us guys loved that scene in “Basic Instinct”, but she is so magnificent as Ginger.
For some reason, a lot of women are like this. They pick some piece of trash man and cling to him for life. An extended family member did this...the guy was on drugs, always beating her up, stabbed in the back with a bbq fork one time and all sorts of stuff. She always went right back to him. Even if you're trying to help a lady like that and would be true to her, unlike the dirtbag that she's with, she'd take everything that you have and give it to him. Then she'd act like it is your fault that you weren't getting along with her.
Bad guys aren't trying to get anyone's approval, they just are who they are.Good guys walk around thinking why don't women like me I'm a good guy. those "nice guy" types...I have a friend who thinks like that...the guy is married to a really good friend of mine and he constantly rubs it in my face...he actually uses his wife to try to make me regret I don't like him.Never did, never will...and in everyone's eyes he's a nice guy,but I know he's a petty fucker who's pathetically expecting me to regret not liking him.Im GAY for fucks sake. Ure absolutely right...In my experience with women I've seen the more needy and clingy u r to a woman the less she likes u..treat her like shit and she'll come running...so this theory is GIRL tested.(yes being a girl myself i hardly fuckin understand women)..i legit had a thing for this girl at some classes i was taking, the girl would hardly give me time of day...we happened to talk one night and i told her like a sad puppy that i liked her.she told me she was straight so i begun my healing process and i avoided her at all cost over the next few months...every fuckin day i was at classes she showed up wanting to talk abt whatever.this one time she cornered me and told me not to move, she'll be right back, another time she waited outside my class until i had a bathroom break then she tried to strike up a conversation...i was missing classes cuz my head was all fucked up,she noticed and asked me why i was missing so many classes.mind u she was no longer a part of my class...The less you care about a girl the more she'll crave ur attention.Thats just the way it is.Nice guys/girls are just too desperate..
i wanted to comment on this thread, because i know exactly what these women are like, what makes them tick and why they are so dangerous to other women. But the post was so long i decided not to do that. but yeah, they have deep-seated psychological issues and in most cases, without a strong desire to change and years of therapy, you cannot help them. feel compassion but do not try to befriend them, even on a very casual level. Even just to show them kindness and treat them with dignity - do so, but maintain a strong boundary between the two of you. they suck you in and can be dangerous - especially if you are a women.

They're all against it, but they ask the main man Remo (who decides to kill him nevertheless). He could've said anything to the same effect. But he just asks: "why take a chance?"
@vibovitold It was Andy Stone. The irony with that was Remo was a terrible gambler with the exception of Ace making his bets, yet wouldn't take a chance on Andy keeping quiet despite everyone else saying he wouldn't talk.
James Woods is terribly underrated.
+MrOrthogonalization Yeah, in interviews he said he begged Scorsese for a part, but Marty should've felt honored by his participation.
+MrOrthogonalization stole the show? I wouldn't go that far. Deniro and Pesci are untouchable by anyone else in this film.
you mean Lester Diamond?
GreatSpaceToaster IQ of 180
How is he underrated? He did quite well in all of his films and is considered to be a exceptional actor within Hollywood
The three of them are incredible in this scene, as well as in the entire film! A magnificent work by all three.
Sam Rostein is one of the best dressed characters ever!
I like the way Mr. Rothstein handles this situation.
He is very alpha!
@@vegancandy9570 But wouldn't the girl like him if he was alpha?
@@vegancandy9570 well not in his personal love life LOL 😂
They don't do movies like this anymore. You can look at it a thousand times back to back and NEVER get bored.

@@antonioelaventurero9117 lol yeah
Everytime I look back at this I laugh. Good times
Yo ace what are you up to these days?
Ginger and Ace would have done much better if they became business partners and sometime lovers. It would've been a win/win all the way around.
Yes, that would be better, but Sam got his balls bewitched by her lust and evil.......
If anybody ever needed a beating in movie cinema history, it was definitely Lester Diamond.
BE A MAN DON'T BE A PIMP! i love that part! 10/10
Old Lester is lucky he did not end up in a hole in the Desert.
Is he?
That suit and matching watch De Niro is wearing in this scene... Man, I wish that I could rock that. It's so on point!
Fellas: tell your sons not to marry las vegas prostitutes LOL
Wasn’t a prostitute
@@plzburnme3809 yes she was.
PlzBurnMe yeah? She was
I have a feeling Sharon Stone didnt have to act this one at all.
If this isn't the most savaged comment, my god 💀
flex tape cant fix that
I don't get it, can someone explain
@@kratos3574 it means she was being herself the entire movie or in other words Sharon is a 'Ginger' in real life too
OH ! GOD ! no one could of done it better...SHE NAILED THIS ONE
That Gucci jacket is dope, never noticed it as a kid watching this.
I like how his first reaction is to find the nearest exit and there’s already guys waiting for him if he tries it.
"Next time bring a pistol; that way you got a chance."
Fun fact: James Woods had no script for this part. Martin Scorsese only told Woods to "act natural, and be yourself."
Noodles got his revenge on Max.
StabbingPrivateMellish Secretary Bailey, you mean? ;)
Yeah, I mean Secretary Bailey. ;)
She could be.
I like that one! Hahaha
StabbingPrivateMellish yeah but Secretary Bailey is Max though
I love when he looks around the room only to see Aces Henchmen waiting to throw him a beating.
The best part is when the pimp touches the money one last time before he left. 😂
That's what he gets for meeting at a Denny's
is that bad?
It’s not his fault lol
I can double that!~
LOL!!!
That actually is a salvadorian resturant in las vegas
Not in to Gucci but James Woods suit was classic ...
2:44 That behind Pesci's head / 180 pan to Pesci's reaction is something only one of the best comes up with.
Nobody plays sleaze like James Woods 🤣
Kate Moore yeah he was born to play this role.
Hey Steve Buscemi is pretty good at it too
There's definitely a reason for that lol
Now he's limited to only doing it on Twitter.
Because he is not acting. Just being himself.
I like how James Wood looks at the money when he's told to leave, as if he's thinking about asking if he can keep the money.
I love the way Woods looks briefly at the the enforcers before walking out, knowing he was about to get a beating.
Goodellas and casino
2 of the greatest movies ever made
James Woods plays a good weasel/con man.
some would say the best. I would agree.
Sharon's acting skills gives me chills everytime! 😮
I love this movie...I remember watching this for the first time at the T/A Truck Stop in Baytown Tx. in the driver's movie/tv room while I was waiting to go to LaPort Tx to load & head back home.
As soon as I got home...I went & bought this movie on DVD.
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
DeNiro is the only actor who could render one of James Woods' characters speechless...
True dat - hard to shut a magpie like Woods.
that roll fit woods perfectly that wasn’t acting that’s how he was in real life !
Man Sharon Stone is so amazing!
youre enslaved to women.
She played this role perfectly
There are two great underrated films from James Woods everybody should see. They are Salvador and True Believer.
And he was fantastic in The Onion Field, which I think was the first time he played a scumbag.
THE SPECIALIST!!
...Scorsesse is one incredible director in this scene he got every angle to the detail so well crafted.....
Nicky´s guys in the doors waiting for lester, the place behind cover......but the casting Scorsesse made is amazing also in this movie....Lester (character) is so impressive performed by one Wonderful actor like James Woods, u can see how well he can drives and deliver in less that a minute four emotions: surprise - fear - frustration and even a comic glance practically without said a word but showing full attention with some apparent cool way like a despicable pimp rat looking for scape harmless in front of every single word that Ace (DeNiro) has said like a hard command that includes a death warrant just in case cross the line again!!...
....and this total scene ending, Nicky in control watching everything like a real Dangerous Maffia Soldier!!
Oh man, to be in infatuated with a emotionally unavailable woman who's also destructive is the most horrible feeling. I was once and it took me 4 years and getting back together which ultimately failed to finally get over her for good. To this day I thank God that I'm finally free of her. It truly was a miracle.
Deniro is the greatest movie mobster ever!
Facts!! 😃
He's too kind to play a mobster imo
He's a crybaby loser in real life
He wasn't a mobster in the movie
T
Are you stupid ?
0:38 - Can always feel the cringe when Lester has to physically take his hand back out of the proverbial cookie jar to shake Ace's.
Damn, Nicky is sitting this one out?
That's not like him at all
'Cause he would've decked him with one hit back in those days,,, :)
@Bob Loblaw Deniro wasn't his boss
Nicky. It's spelled Nicky short form of Nicholas.
Keron Windley yes he was technically, his boss back in New York sent him with ace to protect him and their business there and take orders from him
@@zacharygreene1979 They weren't from New York. Kansas City
Ace’s suit game was STRONG
@MansaMusa Muliano Truer words were never spoken.
My guess is that they love bad boys lol.
Good God, the incel horde came out in force in this thread. Jeez...
i wanted to comment on this thread, because i know exactly what these women are like, what makes them tick and why they are so dangerous to other women.
“Next time Come Heavy or Not at all” Junior Sopranos line
Lester never had the makings of a varsity pimp.
Idk how men can still love women like this
They've got "The Power".
Love makes man do crazy things .
Ace was the one in the wrong here. Ginger straight up told him she doesn’t love him. Ace kinda forced her to marry him. I never saw Ginger as the villain in this movie.
@@P4boot right.. the woman who lies, cheats and manipulates him, plus getting drugged out and not giving a crap about her kids... isn't the villain. its the guy.
@@simonphoenix3789 lol Ikr. I HATED ginger with a passion. Only woman or beta males could like someone like her. Not saying ace was a beta but he should’ve known after she cried over her pimp getting beaten that she wasn’t worth it. Love makes men do crazy and stupid things.
James Woods does his role incredibly well in this movie
Where was Sharon's Oscar for this incredible performance as Ginger? Bravo Stone!!
She did get a nomination for it, probably deserved to win.
@@adamgordon6435 I also think she should have won, including she should have won by Basic Instinct!
Sharon Stone was nominated for Best Actress for the 1996 Academy Awards, however she did not win. The Oscar went to Susan Sarandon for her performance in Dead Man Walking.
0:25 I like how DeNiro walks in: sloooowly, until he actually sees them. Almost as if he needed it to see it to believe it
Sharon Stone is amazing in this scene. Her posture and everything is just so believable.
No wonder she got nominated for the Oscars that year.
