Kenyans have a maximum of 30 years to pay for houses under the government’s Boma Yangu platform

Ordinary Kenyans will have a maximum of 30 years to pay for housing units under the government’s Boma Yangu platform having made an initial deposit of ksh 64,000 and monthly payments ranging from ksh 3,900 to ksh 7,000 for low-income earners. This according to lands and Housing Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome is aimed at eradicating slums and delivering one million housing units by 2027.

Government do better than the private sector by providing more facilities like roads, well managed waste collection/disposal, better sewer system at lower cost just like in Singapore and Malaysia where citizens prefer government houses than the costly private ones lastly provide jobs to our people so that they can afford to own a home.
