I always admire people who have patience to go and drop all their items in dozen of different chests. I have outdoor storage area with 12 chests and it’s complex enough 😅
Something I did in my storage chests. I split each item and fill up the row. Then when I dump items into it, they won’t go into random places because every spot is filled. Example: light wood. First slot has 80. Second slot has 1. Third slot has 1, etc until row is filled. Under light wood I would have dark wood. Again, first slot has 80. Split it by one and fill up the rest of that row. Rinse and repeat on all chests.
The MALL for wall e garden, moana, and beast, with Kristoff and Gaston...what an idea...oh, my... i use indoor in my main house. It makes sense to me and it gives me access to everythuing in both The Valley and Eternity Isle at tge same time. But this was a fascinating adaptation...
It’s a very pretty storage area! I have an indoor storage room so I can access from both realms. I use the signposts so I know exactly where everything is!
I originally had my storage all over the valley (I had chests for fruits/veggies by Wall-E’s garden in sunlit, one by Moana’s boat, one by Beasts’ flower stand) but one the new DLC came and I couldn’t access all my materials It annoyed me. So I made my whole first floor storage. My main entrance room is my greenhouse for all my flowers, sticks, soil. Then I have a gem storage room, a kitchen room for veggies/fruits/dairy and fish, and a time ending/crafting materials room. I’d say I have s decent collection of items, but not a crazy amount like some people. For the most part, I’ve always had the items I’ve needed for quests and whatnot so it works for me. And I like that I can access all my stuff in both the Valley and the Isle.
I am a hoarder of items! I've upgraded house and am using three floors for storage. Finally combined the Valley and Isle together into one. Need to start decorating now. So many wonderful ideas! Love your outdoor storage set up.
Your storage is gorgeous and efficient! I don't always harvest Wall-E's garden because I don't have room to carry around 2 corn, 1 carrot, etc. Bravo for you. It's a functional, peaceful area. I've not been playing long enough to need such an extensive area. You inspire me 😊
I have two storage rooms in the house. Floor 3 main room has a lot of trunks with coal that i bought dirt cheap from kristoff. 3 floor on left contains storage for almost everything. Outside I keep a storage chest in every biome near the fishing spots so I can dump any fish/flowers if i need the room. This also keeps them seperated by biome in case i run out or something. In main storage room in the house i have one each of the colored large chests places in rainbow color order. Along each wall, i also have large chests and vaults. Vaults of course store gems gold ingots. These are also in rainbow order an flowers are in large chests on opposite wall. Once the shelves came out i put them on the wall and also have a representation of what is in it. Fish and digging and harvesting resources go in the middle also separated by color. Eggs mulk and cheese go in the refrigerators.
First off, you’re outdoor storage is beautiful! I can’t even imagine how long that took!! I have both types. I started with indoor storage and then seen others do outdoor but neither one is anything fancy and I’m so overwhelmed now with stuff. I’m looking for a new way to do it. Perfect timing, I was actually looking for a previous video you did where you rated all the different storage Items because I have bought things thinking they were storage and they weren’t. Great video!!
I love your outdoor storage!! I want to do something similar. I like it better than inside; it is easier to access then going inside every time you need something or want to put something away!
I’ve done something similar with my main house with a separate room dedicated to something specific - and each floor having a different theme like a flower floor, crop floor, eternity isle floor etc, it’s so satisfying 😍
I keep all non food items outdoor storage, the rest indoor first floor. I figured easy to organize stuff that belongs outside and when I'm inside cooking..simple as that. It's really cool to see all of people's differences.🎉
I love your setup and I'm totally on the side of outdoor storage room - I just don't like entering rooms and having multiple loading screens haha I was inspired and I'm in the process of doing my outdoor storage too - but I discovered the big chests require dark wood which I have very little amounts of and with the popcorn buckets event going on, the storage must wait for now 😂😂
I have both indoor and outdoor. My main storage is my main room on the first floor. I have 40 color coded large chests. Some things I never sell (iron), other items I keep a limited number of stacks (flowers, spices, fruits, etc). I keep some items outside, seeds, Remy items, coal, etc. I also have scrooge chests everywhere to dump when needed, also a few large chests outside my house if my pockets get too full. At the end of my playing session I will sort everything into my indoor storage.
Great outdoor look. I would love to have more time to play so I haven't expanded my storage needs outside of the main room of my house, but it is getting to that point. I've debated trying an outdoor area, but likely will stick to indoor and start breaking things out into other rooms, likely moving them upward, whenever I get the time to even start since I have the side rooms on the first floor already decorated and would be a bit annoying to have to recreate them on a different floor.
indoor storage is fun because it makes me decorate my house and enjoy stopping by for energy. but my greek agora market has some outdoor chests for convenience
I have indoor storage. I have one vintage chest in each room, and one vintage chest in each biome. I do have to go indoors to unload my storage, but that’s not a daily thing. I have themed rooms, which is fun. Also, I play on switch. One room for fish, one for foraged food, one for crafting, one for flowers, one for gems. I’m still working on Eternity Isle storage, but I’m modeling it after what I already have. Basically two entire floors plus two gem rooms on a third floor. It works fairly well for me; I’m happy with it. Your storage area is amazing!! I would get lost, the same as you would forget what’s in each room! 😂😂
Your outdoor storage is sooo pretty and definitely something I would do if I wasn't on Switch with a 3,000 item limit. I'm a bit of a hoarder, but no too bad. I have two rooms on the ground floor of my house nicely decorated for storage...one for the Valley, one for Eternity Isle, and I find they serve me well.
I have an indoor storage system. I have managed to get enough dark wood to make large chests. Each coloured chest is for different items as well. I don't have Eternity Isle, so I don't have those items to store right now. I am thinking of redoing some of my chests but I have a craft table in the room as well. My food storage is in the kitchen.
i have an inside storage system buuuut i also have a small mini-storage outside w just a couple of chests to hoard everything, so when i see those chests are getting full i just grab the things that are already whole stacks and bring them inside! its convenient and at the same time i don't have to go inside EVERY TIME i need to grab/leave something
This is absolutely beautiful Mr Star in Sky, LOVE it! It will feel so good to visit this area multiple times a day. If there is ever a Dreamsnap for storage systems, you will be top 5 for sure! My storage is one room; I tend not to hold on to a lot of items.
Interesting points. Another negative to outdoor storage is that area is then not available for dreamsnaps. I have indoor storage. I have a quick drop storage for all items on my ground floor and then rooms/levels for longer term dedicated storage when the quick drop chests fill up. I use the main room per storage floor to decorate so I can tell which room is for what storage. Your outdoor storage looks beautiful though ❤
I am on switch. In the beginning I had a few chests indoors and several outdoors. As soon as I could I made my ground floor for storage on my main account, one for food, one for other, and one for eternity isle. I use tables for visual idea of what is inside my chests. I am hoping that transmutation will enable to condense my storage chests and other storage system. On my alt account I am still working on an indoor system, and am thinking of just two rooms, using colored chests for eternity isle and plain for other in the non food one, and same idea for food room, no tables yet. I do decorate my walls and floors to coordinate with the theme.
Love your outdoor storage. As a Switch player I have to have an indoor storage. Your points in the vid were spot on as to why. Low limit on item count!! I have mind designed by floors. I’ll post it on Reddit for anyone who wants to see.
I use to have my storage in my my main house but i now have it in the purple cottage home. i will probably do the same in one of the houses for Eternity Isle.
I have indoor storage and I never even consider having outdoor storage. But this is genius and looks amazing! I love the idea of being able to have the shops (Beast, WALL·E, etc) right there so it’s easy to collect to build up. But I’m also on switch so I have a low item count. But now I’m considering the switch! Thank you.
I currently have three floors worth of storage, I like having certain rooms dedicated to certain things, like fruit or gems. My flowers are currently outside. But I absolutely love your outdoor submission! Completely 10/10 storage!! Just the whole layout is 🤌🤌
Hey Star, your outdoor storage system is functional, yet aesthetically pleasing and I just love how you have related each to a charcter, movie etc, it's so creative and looks beautiful. I love the blue sea vibe with the fish 💙 I admit, outdoor storage looks and will be more practical for all the reasons you covered, getting around, less time, more conveniant, ease of use etc. When I started playing, I always started out with indoor storage and just always stay with that. I have used a couple of floors in my house dedicated to storage. I have a gem room, crafting room and kitchen on the ground floor, and my flower room is on the second floor. So, that's all I need to go through, for now, to put stuff away. Also, I don't know why, but I have amazing memory and I don't need to use signs etc to remember what is in each chest, crazy, I know. For flowers, I just have first chest, plaza, second, meadow, 3rd, beach etc. it works for me lol. I do have my timebending chests outside, next to the table at my house on both the valley and eternity isle, along with a flowrer chest for each biome, next to goofy's store, I have been doing that since the game started. I like just dropping off those extras around the biomes, but have excess storage for flowers in my house. I love how I have decorated them, like you, and can't imagine changing it up. However, eventually, when we get more content, expansions, we always need room to grow. I am tempted to do something similar to you, but the item limit does put me off slightly. I also play on PC so it's manageable, but I do like some space in my valley and I don't like too much clutter. But aye, well done, it looks so well thought out. 🌟🌟🌟
I have multiple vintage chest in each biome, but I have my main storage system in my house. Sometimes it’s organized sometimes it’s not my most organized stuff is my gems But I do have medium chest by my Wally garden and beast flower shop and Moana
I have one single storage room in my house and I can store literally every item in there AND add a bunch more new chests if I wanted to! it doesn't have to take up a lot of space :D
I have one “official”indoor storage room. It’s my second floor room on the left 😂 Though I put anything I buy from Remy or Gaston in my kitchen on the first floor. Also on the first floor I have a “dressing room” that I put a crafting table and timebending table in so I don’t have to go outside to craft. With only those three rooms to remember I don’t find it that hard, but if I made more it might get so (I’ll have to with more expansions. I wonder if the signs would help label the doors 🤔) Being able to leave from the upper floors has been amazing.
I have indoor storage system which is basically a room with enough chests to fit what I need. Except for flowers, I keep them in a room in my Summer Cottage that I decorated as a flower shop in Meadow. 😊
I prefer an indoor storage set up since I don't have to worry about the item limit. That said, I need to revamp mine since it needs work. Have a rough idea what I want each room be. Just need to get around to do it. Currently some things are partially organized, but definitely could be better
I had outdoor storage for a while because for whatever reason my switch would crash when I tried to go inside a house about 1/3 of the time (they might have fixed that issue, but i decided to buy the game for steam to get rid of the problem). I continued to have the outdoor storage until Eternity Isle came out, then I switched it to indoor to make it easier to access everything. At the time i didnt realize you could fast travel to other island, and by the time I realized that I had already swapped the storage, so its staying indoors now
I have an indoor storage system. I have one in the main house, where I have like stones, coal, pebbles, snow, wood and all that stuff in one room and gems in another room. And I had the terrible idea of using another house separately with all the food items, each room for different things (the main one for vegetables, one for fishes, one for fruits and one for the other stuff) and I did that because I intended to decorate a whole biome to create a storage 😂 But with Eternity Isle it didn't made sense to me to have a storage in one place and having to travel everytime I have to save something in the storage. So I'm thinking of putting everything in the main house, I'm just building the courage to do it, cause is gonna be a lot of work 😂 But I love outdoor storage systems! It looks so beautiful ❤ Maybe when we get more DLCs I get one separate storage system outside ❤
I’m on Switch so I use indoor to save my item limit. Right now I only have 3 rooms and I’m able to keep all of my things organized and remember where they are. It does suck going in the house and into every room but items limit gives me no choice!
Omg your outdoor storage is amazing, how did you get the rainbow waterfalls? Also I was talking about indoor storage vs outdoor storage in comments just the other day thnx for covering it!!
I currently have a few small chests outdoors I prefer outdoor storage for the simple fact I rarely go inside my house anyway I'm always outside the only storage I have inside my house are 2 wardrobes which I use for time bending items
MrStarInSky I remember you working on storage system in your streams and I loved your storage tour, thanks for sharing! 👍🏻⭐️🙂 Where can I find the valley tour with PrincessStarButterfly, I must have missed it, I don’t remember seeing it? My storage system is indoors on my main floor. It works best for me because it’s easier to access when in both the valley and eternity isle! (I envy the time it takes you to teleport to the isle! 😆) All my other added floors/rooms in main house are themed rooms by collections, ie: Mickey and friends, Beauty&TheBeast, Cinderella, and so on. And there is a way to edit/label your rooms by floor when in the add rooms to house tab, for those that do use multiple floors for storage 🙂
I'm on the Switch so outside storage isn't even an option. Even if I wasn't I'd probably still have indoor storage because I wouldn't want to take up space that could be used for decorating. And, we have so many floors inside our house that is not being used for anything else.
The reason I think indoor has more advantages now is because of Eternity Valley. You can run in your house instead of having to tp back to your valley. I used to have a separate room for foods, flowers, gems etc. before large chests came. But I hated putting items away. Now it’s 1 room.
Yeah. The hastal of going between floors or rooms doesn't sound enticing to me either but the item limit, that's what's bugging me. To be honest if I had indoor storage I would probably throw everything in one room/chest until it's too messy and then sort them in chests someday. Because that EXACTLY WHAT I do in Minecraft 🤣 So yeah Outdoor storage is kinda better for me
I just have 4 rooms in my house full of storage chests with system how to organize them😂 And once every 3month when I'm super bored I clean and organize them😅
I have made the rainbow but yours are way better. How are they lit? I was using the clouds to diffuse the light. Are you lights in the middle of two waterfalls? 12:17
I have a indoor storage. I am on switch and the items limit count is up there and I like to decorate my biomes so have to get rid of chests that are out doors
Yes! I am so mad about the 3000 limit. Why have so many biomes when you can't even decorate them? I paid $60 some for the game and $30 some for eternity isle. Let me decorate!
I used to set up my items inside the chests so they weren't all a mess but now I don't. Whats the point? When I add stuff to it the items just go wherever they want lol. I wish like items would go right after like items. Nope. They just put in the next available space. It's dumb lol
I feel like I’m the only switch player, who has an outdoor storage system 😂 But why? - loading from biome to biome is a lot faster than trying to load into houses/rooms (yes also on switch) - My solution for Eternity Isle, is that I just have a bunch of chests (those you buy from Scrooge) everywhere. So I can just dump stuff in those chests, and then it teleports back to my chest at my storage area - About the item limit, I just don’t put a couple of items on the tables, but still try to make it look nice/not empty. Also my glade is more or less completely empty, so that leaves me a lot of items to place elsewhere. I think I covered it all? I love my outdoor storage system. So if anyone wanna know anything else or see photos, I’d be happy to share! 🥰
Honestly I really think it’s people with an insanely old switch (like first ones that came out) and no storage on it that are so vocal about how bad the game plays. I have a switch and 95% of problems people complain about are bugs that are on any other console too. It doesn’t take longer to teleport than other platforms, or any of these other crazy things I hear people saying. The switch runs perfectly fine, and the game is just as playable as any other console 🤷🏻♀️ Just my thoughts, but I’ve been feeling this way for almost a year so it’s a bit of an eyeroll to hear the new things people say about the switch 😂
I always admire people who have patience to go and drop all their items in dozen of different chests. I have outdoor storage area with 12 chests and it’s complex enough 😅
Same! I could never have a chest for each single item. Having 3 chests for flowers is more than enough 😂
Same, my house takes too long to load, and I have chests for fruit, veg etc.....
This is a great idea, thank you!
Mr Star with a sponsor fancyy! 10/10 sponsor video part btw 😂
Thank you:)

Wow love it😮❤ Where are all the pretty waterfalls coming from? The rainbow ones, the fountain in the middle, the falls behind the Moana boat?

I had outdoor storage, but then with EI and having to go back and forth for quests I made it all in my house - love yours though!
I have indoor storage rooms. I made a second one for the Eternity Isle things. Keeping the DLC stuff separate is great.
I literally started rearranging mine yesterday it’s very basic but not knowing what was where drove me crazy
I had mine out doors for awhile. But it got to be annoying everytime i wanted to redo that spot. Now it is all indoors. I prefer it that way.
Makes sense:)
Off topic, but if Disney doesn’t add Perry the Platypus to the game I say we riot. 😁
That's true
Got mine inside but you make me want to change it ☺️
I have indoor storage rooms, 1 for the valley and 1 for the isle. I dont want to take up my item limits by doing an outdoor storage.
Yeah. The hastal of going between floors or rooms doesn't sound enticing to me either but the item limit, that's what's bugging me. To be honest if I had indoor storage I would probably throw everything in one room/chest until it's too messy and then sort them in chests someday. Because that EXACTLY WHAT I do in Minecraft 🤣 So yeah Outdoor storage is kinda better for me
I just have 4 rooms in my house full of storage chests with system how to organize them😂 And once every 3month when I'm super bored I clean and organize them😅
why/how do you have a giant pencil equipped? I love it 😍
It's from Oswald quest:)
@@mrStarInSky ahhh dangit 😓
For me it’s in door cos I don’t really use the rooms in my house so it makes sense to us it for storage
I have made the rainbow but yours are way better. How are they lit? I was using the clouds to diffuse the light. Are you lights in the middle of two waterfalls? 12:17
I move my outside storage to my house before this whole new update. I'm thinking of doing another one outside
I have a indoor storage. I am on switch and the items limit count is up there and I like to decorate my biomes so have to get rid of chests that are out doors
I'm glad I did my storage system inside my house since my game is keep crashing and I can't enter my valley.
Yes! I am so mad about the 3000 limit. Why have so many biomes when you can't even decorate them? I paid $60 some for the game and $30 some for eternity isle. Let me decorate!
Lol I have one storage room in my main house and it only has 12 chests. I couldn't manage multiple storage rooms.
I have large indoor and small outdoor
I’m on Switch, I have 2 rooms indoors for my storage. It’s easier for me with the DLC.
Did you have an orchard set up?
I have a storage room and it fits all my items. I don't really collect any items until I need them haha
Yes, it's in my Meadow
I could never do it outside. I’m an indoor girly. Also trying to keep my item limit down 😂
I used to set up my items inside the chests so they weren't all a mess but now I don't. Whats the point? When I add stuff to it the items just go wherever they want lol. I wish like items would go right after like items. Nope. They just put in the next available space. It's dumb lol
Where is the video you speak of with star butterfly storage
I feel like I’m the only switch player, who has an outdoor storage system 😂
But why?
- loading from biome to biome is a lot faster than trying to load into houses/rooms (yes also on switch)
- My solution for Eternity Isle, is that I just have a bunch of chests (those you buy from Scrooge) everywhere. So I can just dump stuff in those chests, and then it teleports back to my chest at my storage area
- About the item limit, I just don’t put a couple of items on the tables, but still try to make it look nice/not empty. Also my glade is more or less completely empty, so that leaves me a lot of items to place elsewhere.
I think I covered it all? I love my outdoor storage system. So if anyone wanna know anything else or see photos, I’d be happy to share! 🥰
Great solution!
I'm a switch player and my storage is outside. I prefer it that way.
@@alley8708 awesome! I rarely see players having outdoor storage especially on switch
@@mrStarInSky Thank you! I’m very happy with it!
- got a lot of inspiration from your storage system!
I cant believe how many ppl have indoor I thought everyone was outdoor like me 😦
I don’t see a negative. I actually like my house.
I have a pretty ugly but organized indoor storage 😅
Where do you stream ?
Here on youtube, in fact I'll stream later today in about 2 hours
Don’t know how people do it, only have one theme storage room for my gems.
With the game crashing every 5 minutes in the main valley it's way too difficult to move from the valley and the isle without crashing
I hope they fix it soon
I have been using the castle now instead of fast traveling. I really miss fast travel
I didn't think of that
How do you get the 6000 limit? I have the game on steam.
You can turn it on in game settings
@@mrStarInSky Thank you!
How many of each item should I store?
As many as you can😊
I need fix my storage system it’s so bad and ugly 😅😂
You can only have 1 Daisy wardrobe. So that’s the only issue with it
i like your idea, but outdoor storage is not for me, I have no room anyways :D
Fair enough:)
I have 3 floors of storage
I have in doors
Mrstarinsky does your wife play this game to?
Unfortunately no:(
Why? Is she not interested in video games like you or something?
