Getting fired to make way for the unmitigated disaster that Zola was nearly as bad as Eustace getting fired for the unmitigated disaster that Rooney was. Birmingham City are the best outfit in the world for shooting themselves in both feet. Both treated shamefully, both able to hold their heads high and think about the disasters that followed their untimely exits and laugh.

Do you want to know the truth, bellingham was a spoilt little rat and wanted him sacked or he would leave.
Gary knew the real jude and how the whole family really are and wouldn't be mugged off, so they got him sacked by claiming racism.

Gary’s last game was away to Newcastle and we played appalling football. Gary’s style of football was not what the owners wanted. Zola tried to get Blues to play pretty passing football, but didn’t have the players to do it. 2 wins in 22 games and Zola was gone. Gary did his best with the players he inherited but the owners wanted more. Only now under Knighthead and Mowbray are we seeing Blues play the sort of football the owners craved.

It was a bad game for us but it wasn't Gary's fault. I was at the game, Newcastle were running away with the league and Jonjo Shelvey was absolutely unplayable that day and they also had Gayle banging goals in (he scored 23 that season). It was the best football he could get the team to produce with the players he had and if there is one thing i did love, is that every team that played against a Gary Rowetts Blues side knew they had to play hard for the entire game to get a result.
