Honestly I love what you guys are doing but I think we all want to see more structure in that salt water pond, the fish and eels would be a lot less stressed out and would maybe even help Barry settle in faster if he had a hiding spot
honestly I think the groupers would do better in a tank all to themselves where they can't bully any smaller fish and the tank they got I feel would look so much better as a reef tank or saltwater native tank
Barry seemed to want to eat but was probably scared of becoming dinner more so gave up trying. Honestly i would let barry go before he gets eaten. Maybe take the time to make more structures for the pond befor adding anything else, the fish need to be able to feel safe if their going to coexist with pots in the same pond.
My suggestion would be to make a special fish cage for Barry so he can be protected from pots and pans and you can feed him in that and basically grow him up a bit more... My thoughts are if it fits in a grouper mouth it's dinner not a pet.
Barry has clearly been through hell in there. Looks like he got ate up and spit out and he has a ton of new injuries. Just let the poor guy go. Cuda's don't belong in just a small tank.

I have a question about bettas. Mine is sick and I am not sure why. I put ammonia remover in yesterday as well as more conditioner. She won't eat and she had some red patches and streaks on her. She will sit on the plants and the sand and won't swim around. When she does swim it is only to gasp for air at the top of the tank.
I think you should keep Barry because I think one even double his size would be crammed, they are open water fish and like to swim in large open places over long distances
First time watching you guys, loved it! Every time you said 'cleaner wrasse', I heard 'cleaner a$$' 😂 (I'm 58 goin' on 12). I think a good name for that gorgeous oscar would be Butters. 😊 Idea for feeing Barry: can you get some sort of plastic that's firm enough to stick in the tank and divide him from the other fish, then feed him in that area and remove the plastic after he eats? I raise reptiles, and that's a trick I use sometimes.

I agree but maybe only one other hide, they are large strong fish and will move the rocks. If they fall it will break the pond if it’s too much.
