I just imagine him as a child putting his shoes on before his pants and bitching that whoever designed pants is an idiot who didn't know what they were doing.
"I need to get all the blue orbs, I get an item if I get them all." *Proceeds to go over the same orbs again and again, never remembering their locations*
You know the funnist bit is that he dislikes what microsoft is doing with kinect and voice over commands, but seems to think yelling jump gets him anywhere.
I like to imagine a group of programmers accounting for anyone's skill when playing these things but no one can anticipate how horrible DSP is. Programmer A: 'Sure this isn't too hard?' Programmer B: 'If you can hit three buttons you're fine' Programmer A: 'What if they don't use dash?' Programmer B: 'What kind of idiot wouldn't use the dash?'
"What does this have to do with megaman? Nothing!" What do hadoukens have to do with street fighter? What does turtles have to do with mario? What does yellow teeth have to do with Panda Lee? Everything.
Phil has just the perfect tone of voice to pierce your eardrums and give anyone the worst headache. The intense pain caused by this, only added by the fact that he spews out bullshit remarks about things that aren't true, causes immense displeasure in those who have common sense. This phenomenon of a living being baffles the most intellectual of all scientists, anthropologists and psychiatrists and to this day is still considered one of the most mystical living organism known to man.
When I was a little kid this took me forever. I had poor reaction time, so it was on me and my lower skill level. I'll admit that right here. Phil likes to blame everything else.
I do like these type of vids. Under a minute to get it done and then it's already "Bad Idea". I look at the time left and I think to my self: "Wow how long you think he would learn from his mistakes?" That ending though...
Something Phil still doesn't realize (he has complained during every classic playformer) is that in these games you do not jump if you hit the button once you leave a platform. It's not like modern games.
Jin The Bugged thinking mechanics are my favorite, especially the bayonetta and batman ones. Also, bugged unboxing is hilarious. Education is a classic though, I'll agree with you there.
HDTV - lightspeed signals suddenly slow the fuck down! -DSP I also love how his voice breaks when he's nearly on the verge of crying due to sheer stupidity.
16:49 low blow there eh magnew? This one is about DSP not Pandalee, but it was no surprise that he'd take a half n hour or so to beat something like this.
No worries to DSP, developers know that people like him are their core audience now. So its ok, games will get easier, much much easier. I remember that stage though, was fun.
Every time I start up one of these videos, I check the length of the video and think, "You're fucking with me, right?" But then, he literally makes no progress until the tail-end of the video.
Phil should get a job in QA, since he finds so many bugs in the game. He'd be the number one QA guy ever. "Path ends and there is no indication I can jump, game ending bug"
"The game should have warned me" How exactly would DSP have made this part differently? A big text box across the screen that says "JUMP" right before? Would he like the game to suddenly pause itself and say "Warning: you will need to jump over the pit coming up"? Or you could just notice the giant pit and jump over it.
And he calls himself an "average gamer". The average gamer would of died a lot less and got the hang of timing the jumps. DSP however, finds something to put the blame on (ex. the controller or the game) making it 100% not his fault when clearly he needs to learn how to time his jumps
You know it's a pretty bad sign when a DSP 'Good Idea/Bad Idea' video that's longer than 15 minutes has a 'Good Idea' segment less than 30 seconds..
Magnew, I don't know if you've gotten this request or not yet, but you should look at DSP's original Dead Rising 2 playthrough. He had a terrible time fighting the psychopath that fights with a tiger and almost rage quit the game if it wasn't for John Rambo saving the playthrough by helping DSP through the game via co-op.
"I guess maybe you should have warned me" ...The game said "Ready" as in, "The level is starting". Another favorite, "Now I'm supposed to now how to shoot, FUCK YOU!" ...YEAH! It's a Mega Man game! You run, jump AND shoot!
Came across this old ass video by chance and to my surprise I see a comment I apparently left on Phil's original video on my old account 8 frickin' years ago! Haha that is amazing.
Phil seems to think that hitting the jump button in the air is,supposed to do something. This isn't a modern game, you can't press jump after leaving a platform and get a free pass
>Missed a part, now I gotta kill myself. Just keep playing the stage if you're going to do gameplay for youtube. DSP realize when something is out of your current skill level, practice off-screen and then prove you can do it in a bonus video.
What a tragedy that every single game DSP plays is out to get him with broken mechanics, lag and reading his inputs incorrectly. If only the games were better programmed DSP would be running every last one of the speed runs at AGDQ and SGDQ perfectly.
I don't even get why he bothered with this. The guy barely knows how to jump, and didn't learn how to dash until the end of it (and even then didn't use it properly), why go to the trouble of trying to get the extra items in the stage?
It hurts to watch these things, especially if the "Good Idea" only lasts a minute or less (like the DMC vid). I remember one of the others lasting only 5 minutes, but it was a 45 minute video in total. I have the feeling that it'll be like The Ring, I watch the video and I'll get a call from DSP saying "Hahaha wow bugged death mechanics you'll die in seven days instead."
"I'm pressing jump but the games not jumping because of delayed HD input" sounds a lot like "I'm pressing block but the games not blocking because of laggy online play." I see a pattern...and that pattern is Phil sucks balls.
Honestly, why even bother collecting those things? You can beat the game with X's Fourth Armor just fine. And yeah, I've beaten this stage and the game when I was like 8 or 9 years old.
As a bonafide X player who can occasionally pull out a perfect run, I am utterly disappointed and am now sporting a red face no thanks to this trainwreck. Also, 'what does this have to do with Mega Man', he asks. Ride Chasers, motherfuckers, best sections in the game for speed junkies.
I hope for a video where DSP is replaced for a baby crying. We will never tell the difference. And he should stop blaming design/development. He always does it against games with high difficulty (Megaman here, Demon/Dark Souls). If knows the games were designed to be hard (Because they want to or because being old school), don't whine for dying on certain segments (Or thousands of hundreds of times in his case) when you probably stated the game(s) is hard when you start a playthrough (If can be called that).
These "DSP Experiences Bugged [insert word here] Mechanics" & "This is how you DON'T play" are getting pretty old for me. Hell, everything about Anti-Phil is not as fun as it used to be back in August, when I have first seen Phils failings.
Cheeseman I never said that somebody is forcing me to watch. Read my comment and think before you post your own. It's called "sharing your thoughts and tastes".
Remind me of when I had to play the Slide&Jump stage in MegaMan8, that was hard as fuck, but I didn't put the fault on the game, but me. I somehow kept confusing between jumping and sliding...
is there actually a point where he encountered an actual glitch and got mad at it? because i don't think he could even recognize what a glitch actually is.
I am no expert, but from what i understand all hdtv have to process the digital signal sent to it. This takes a little bit of time like a fraction of a second or more. Depending on the tv or the setting, there might be a noticeable delay between button press and reaction on screen. As for his setup, only he knows, if he can be honest to himself.
Standard non-CRT displays are going to have varying ranges of input delay, which is simply a result of how the image is displayed. Your average monitor is going to run around 15ms, whereas an HDTV can be anywhere around 35ms. It's a legitimate problem, but I don't know that it's one DSP actually encountered in this video.
I just imagine him as a child putting his shoes on before his pants and bitching that whoever designed pants is an idiot who didn't know what they were doing.
Bugged pants mechanics.
Man. DSP should go into making pretzels with how salty he is.
"I need to get all the blue orbs, I get an item if I get them all."
*Proceeds to go over the same orbs again and again, never remembering their locations*

What do hadoukens have to do with street fighter? What does turtles have to do with mario? What does yellow teeth have to do with Panda Lee?
Everything.
"What does games have to do with Phil? Nothing!"
But here we are...
Phil has just the perfect tone of voice to pierce your eardrums and give anyone the worst headache. The intense pain caused by this, only added by the fact that he spews out bullshit remarks about things that aren't true, causes immense displeasure in those who have common sense. Why does he always call games "dude?" Does he know the game can't actually hear him?
The games just ignore him.
Even the game knows that it's not worth arguing with him...
That random ass clip at 6:55 startled me. Lol
definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again expecting different result
ROFL. Someone needs to dub DSP's yelling of "JUMP! JUMP! JUMP!" over the Sugarhill Gang's "Jump on It" song. That shit would be hilarious.
Or "Jump Around" by House of Pain.
Something Phil still doesn't realize (he has complained during every classic playformer) is that in these games you do not jump if you hit the button once you leave a platform. It's not like modern games.
I want to see DSP play Battletoads just to see his reaction of the turbo tunnel now.
Anddddd he used the rewind button on rare replay
"They never tested this part.."
lol...
This is the best one yet.
Jin
The Bugged thinking mechanics are my favorite, especially the bayonetta and batman ones. Also, bugged unboxing is hilarious. Education is a classic though, I'll agree with you there.
"All my life people hated on me, nothing I can do, bugged Real Life mechanics!"
HDTV - lightspeed signals suddenly slow the fuck down! -DSP
I also love how his voice breaks when he's nearly on the verge of crying due to sheer stupidity.
I think I'm gonna get sick...
oh how i wish you were the real lobo. he'd deal with phil
***** Fuckin A Clyde.
***** That's Shang...not lobo
I absolutely love those little video clips you put in.
16:49 low blow there eh magnew? This one is about DSP not Pandalee, but it was no surprise that he'd take a half n hour or so to beat something like this.
Oh please god ....not another Megaman X play from DSP X___x
This is a trainwreck. We all know he's gonna fuck up somehow, but we can't stop watching because it's not a matter of "when," but "how."
It's awful...yet you can't look away.
I beat this level when I was fucking EIGHT YEARS OLD!
I'm pretty sure I spent less time on this stage when I was 8.
DSP
No worries to DSP, developers know that people like him are their core audience now. So its ok, games will get easier, much much easier.
I remember that stage though, was fun.
The Good Idea was short again. Oh boy.
He dies on the very. First. Jump.
Every time I start up one of these videos, I check the length of the video and think, "You're fucking with me, right?" But then, he literally makes no progress until the tail-end of the video.
So, how does it feel when the game doesn't hold your hands DSP ?
By the way... He died 73 times. I swear, nobody can do worse... I hope.
How is it that when DSP developed that laugh as a child, his mother didn't just turn round and slap him?
HAAAGHAGHAGHAGHAghagahgahGAHGAHGaagahagh
eh, he only started laughing like that when he gained his seventh chin
btw,a game maker finally commented on phil being a baddest gamer he ever saw,not sure who he is,think he is the guy who made dmc
And it was awesome.
Everything I program from now on will soft lock if it detects DSP playing it.
Tameem?
For the ultimate DSP experience imagine that he has a split personality and all the comments are referring to himself!!
Phil should get a job in QA, since he finds so many bugs in the game. He'd be the number one QA guy ever. "Path ends and there is no indication I can jump, game ending bug"
I suspected that this video would be full of I PRESSED JUMP DUDE and I was not disappointed
"The game should have warned me"
How exactly would DSP have made this part differently? A big text box across the screen that says "JUMP" right before? Would he like the game to suddenly pause itself and say "Warning: you will need to jump over the pit coming up"?
Or you could just notice the giant pit and jump over it.
More likely a quick time event "Press X here, Press Triangle"
Or something like Mega Man 8 with "JUMP JUMP! DASH DASH!"
Holy shit. Please don't remind me of that stage.
Man,i'd love to see him attempt Frost man's stage or Wily stage 1 from MM8.
And he calls himself an "average gamer". The average gamer would of died a lot less and got the hang of timing the jumps. DSP however, finds something to put the blame on (ex. the controller or the game) making it 100% not his fault when clearly he needs to learn how to time his jumps
Agree to that. Played all the X series, and in X4 and X5, in the chaser segment, even I know how to time my jumps after a few trials and errors.
Imagine him trying to pass through Frost Man`s stage from Mega Man 8.
"I need to get all the blue orbs; I'll get an item if"
Yeah I think you should worry about just reaching the end champ.
I wonder if Pandalee ever gets tired of hearing his "WUT DUH FUUUUK? I pressed "X" and the game dropped the input! WwhhuuUUUT?!?"
wait...he is blaming a tv for his lack of reflex in controls?
Great ending
Also, I just realized DSP is the perfect example of a "John" from the Smash Bros community.
Without a doubt the best ending to any video on youtube.
You'd think sheer muscle memory alone would have eventually led him to making progress but nope.
I didn't know DSP had muscle memory...
I really wanna see a video series of the developers of the games Phil plays reacting to his dissing them
2013
Wow...now that I think about it, Pandalee kinda looks like a real life Meg...
Holy shit, if hes this bad at this kind of jumping, imagine him trying to tackle the Turbo Tunnel. No way in hell.
X5
I wonder when bugged personality mechanics is released.
To be honest, that chaser stage from X5 is a pain in the ass. Shouldn't take that many tries though....
I used to have problems with this stage, when I was 14. Took me like, four entire tries to get everything.
Holy shit. This level irritated me, but not NEARLY this much.
And that was BEFORE I realized I could charge on the bike.
DSP ever played BIT.TRIP.RUNNER? Oh wow, I can see it - it's hilarious
"I guess maybe you should have warned me" ...The game said "Ready" as in, "The level is starting". Another favorite, "Now I'm supposed to now how to shoot, FUCK YOU!" ...YEAH! It's a Mega Man game! You run, jump AND shoot!
The summary of this video: I PRESSED JUMP!!
Doctor Mosquito couldnt BLAW!
I was BLAWING!
Came across this old ass video by chance and to my surprise I see a comment I apparently left on Phil's original video on my old account 8 frickin' years ago! Haha that is amazing.
that last part with pandalee fucking hilarious
This is one of those videos that really needs a death counter.
4:11 he already played x4 before this one so he knew about game mechanics
I forgot how good X5's music was
the ending had me in stitches
Hey magnew...I think he fails at the bike section on X4 as well. If he does I think it's worth making a part two out of this.
He does, but it isn't nearly as catastrophic as this.
Phil seems to think that hitting the jump button in the air is,supposed to do something. This isn't a modern game, you can't press jump after leaving a platform and get a free pass
This made me literally ache. Need to bring Advil next time.
But seriously, fuck this level
help I fell at this part many times good times
He drives over the same pit over and over lol
>Missed a part, now I gotta kill myself.
Just keep playing the stage if you're going to do gameplay for youtube. DSP realize when something is out of your current skill level, practice off-screen and then prove you can do it in a bonus video.

I want to know which one of "WHAT" or "DUDE" is DSP's most used word.
It's "stoopid", I spelled it how he says it.
It's *passive aggressive laughing sound*
I would hate to see him play "Judge Dredd" or "The Death And Return Of Superman" on either the Genesis or SNES.
"Bugged death mechanics" lol
Yeez, i wonder what would happen if he fought a dragon boss fight.
mmmmmmmm...
reminds me of when he played donkey kong country returns
One of my fave games
Why did he play X holy fuckk
"I'm pressing jump but the games not jumping because of delayed HD input" sounds a lot like "I'm pressing block but the games not blocking because of laggy online play." I see a pattern...and that pattern is Phil sucks balls.
How many times did he fail the jump? I think I lost count.
Honestly, why even bother collecting those things? You can beat the game with X's Fourth Armor just fine. And yeah, I've beaten this stage and the game when I was like 8 or 9 years old.
no inc ribbence
As a bonafide X player who can occasionally pull out a perfect run, I am utterly disappointed and am now sporting a red face no thanks to this trainwreck.

Yeah of course if Phil's sucking at a game, that means that the developers never tested it.
Fool.
These "DSP Experiences Bugged [insert word here] Mechanics" & "This is how you DON'T play" are getting pretty old for me. Hell, everything about Anti-Phil is not as fun as it used to be back in August, when I have first seen Phils failings.
No one is forcing you to keep watching.
I don't watch these because they're "fun", I watch because it's a train wreck and I can't turn away.
Cheeseman I never said that somebody is forcing me to watch. Read my comment and think before you post your own. It's called "sharing your thoughts and tastes".
*****
I've heard that before. xD Did Two Best Friends say that?
***** They did, during their Metal Gear Rising playthrough.
Remind me of when I had to play the Slide&Jump stage in MegaMan8, that was hard as fuck, but I didn't put the fault on the game, but me.
I somehow kept confusing between jumping and sliding...
is there actually a point where he encountered an actual glitch and got mad at it?
because i don't think he could even recognize what a glitch actually is.
there are many points where he encounters a glitch and dosent say shit. like in spiderman.
Nice ending!
To be fair, I hated these parts in modern Megaman games. But I hate Phil more.
Input delay? Can anyone explain this to me? Is he saying there's something wrong with the hookup that allows hi to see the game?
I am no expert, but from what i understand all hdtv have to process the digital signal sent to it. This takes a little bit of time like a fraction of a second or more. Depending on the tv or the setting, there might be a noticeable delay between button press and reaction on screen. As for his setup, only he knows, if he can be honest to himself.

Seriously? I get all the orbs at my first try as zero and even when I am not using X on that file that is just sad dsp
Well, Phil is Phil (there is nothing you can do :D), but let's admit it, guys - this particular section is kinda tough to deal with on you first try.
That might be true, but eventually it's not your "first try" anymore and you learn what to do and progress.
My favorite part of this video was before it even started. Good idea took 30 seconds. Then, I look at the video and realize it's 17 minutes long! LOL!
