- I just bought the Converse Chuck 70s and I LOVE them, so I wanted to share a quick review and styling video about them on my channel. I used to have some major issues with Converse All-Stars - they were flat, uncomfortable, and made my feet look huge. I find these Converse Chuck 70s to be way easier to wear and so flattering on my feet.

As a guy with size 13 feet, I totally agree about the regular all stars giving off a bit of a clown shoe appearance lol. The 70's seem like they will be just right!

Love them. I also went a half size down. I’m normally a 9 and I went down to 8.5. Converse definitely do know what they’re talking about. 😊

I was never one for regular All Stars and much preferred Vans.
Though I’ve been wearing 70’s for years now and they never got get old. The amount a colours they come in is great and like you say they go with pretty much any fit.
I find in my old age that fancy sneakers ain’t my bag, and this is coming from some that worked on footwear retail for many years. It’s pumps all the way now with Vans, Converse and Novesta. If I’m ever gonna wear a typical sneaker it’s got to be New Balance.

I got the All stars today and I just realized after wearing them for about 20 min how uncomfy they felt. They were also so flimsy and I could tell they wearnt gonna last me that long. Deff not worth the 74$ I paid. Ill be returning them but Ill be getting the 70's instead which I cant wait! From all the reviews I heard there worth the price. Also how long have you had these chuck 70's in the vid? if you dont mind be asking.
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your all stars! I feel the same way about them, especially after wearing the 70s.
They were pretty new when I filmed this video so I think it’s been around 2 months now, but I have been wearing them tons and they’re still comfy/holding up well. I hope they work out better for you and thanks for watching! 🤍
The chuck 70 is the way converse all stars were made in the 50s through the 70s. They are have thicker canvass and more padding which make it more comfortable and they last longer. Also the black label on the heel is the original and correct heel label. These shoes are wayyy better than the flimsy uncomfortable regular all star.

After seeing the well explained differences, I think I need something in between. The footbed and sturdier sides sound awesome, but I loathe the cream-cheese gloss finish. Also curious how it applies to low tops. I'm size 11, and high tops really become container ships at that size.

Yeah I don’t get why they made it so glossy. Makes it look cheap. And it’s a shame cause the rest of the shoe is so much better than the regular ones. I actually like the off white though, though I think it could be more subtle
I have the black and white all stars and don’t wear them because of the “canoe” foot effect lol! It’s so true. Might have a look at these ones instead! Love the outfits!

Heyy, did you take them in normal size...like did you check inches/centimeters? Because everyone says I should go a half size down, but when I look centimenters I think I should go a half size up! I have shoe size 41 (US 10) in Vans, and in centimeters 26.5... acording to that I should take 41.5 cm in Converse. What size did you took?
I went half a size down, and I didn’t check inches or cm, just went by my normal shoe size.
I’m actually a 41 also (not 100% about in Vans, but for everything else) and I got a 9.5, they fit great. Thanks for watching 🤍

Also these are going to be my first converse pair. I wanna know if you did the denim black for the color or black canvas. Hi, I actually don’t own any converse. What’s your size in Nikes? I’m 9.5 in Nike and kinda hesitant about sizing down.
Hi! My only Nikes are a pair of Air Force 1s in a mens 10/42 which are too big for me - I typically wear a 41/10 women’s in most shoes and for sure had to size down to 9.5 in these chuck 70s!
hey! loved the video. i am trying to find my size in USA size because its sooo confusing with the mens/womens seperete size. I'm 38.5 in Europe. Should I buy 6 ?
Thanks so much for watching! I just looked at their updated size guide and it is kind of confusing - I'm an EU 41 and purchased a 9.5. That's what the chart suggests so I would say go for the 6 in your case...tricky because they don't list 38.5 but you wouldn't want them too small.
Depending on the site they may also allow you to exchange! Sometimes I'll order 2 sizes in something and return what doesn't fit. Hope that helps!

I'd say my feet are pretty average but my mom has wide feet & she owns these shoes as well. Says they're comfy! She went down a half size too. Hope that helps and thanks for watching ❤

um you may not be checking comments eny more but how yellowy dose the rubber look in person? i was thinking about getting convers but wussent sure what style, the only thing wrong with this style for me is the yellowy rubber but is it?

I’d say it’s more of a cream, vintage looking colour rather than yellow. But definitely not white! It’s similar to how some of my pure white sneaker soles discolour as they get old or just can’t be totally cleaned anymore.

I have searched the whole internet but I just cannot seem to find the height these shoes add. I only see how much taller the Converse All Stars make you but not these Chuck 70’s😭😭. Can you help me out❤️❤️?? I am really tall (girl) so I don’t feel comfortable wearing shoes that make me taller..

The sole of the shoes is about 1 inch just from a quick measurement on mine. I don’t notice a difference between these and other sneakers in terms of height - I feel like converse are pretty flat in general.
I definitely missed that size down 1/2 size memo. It looks huge...

The pants are a few years old now so no link but they are from Zara! I am usually a size 7 and I tried a size 7 in store and bought them. They seemed fine until I tried them on again at home and I was noticing excess space where my toes are - so I’m thinking of trying on a size 6 and if they’re better exchanging them. A bit confused tho as I haven’t seen any in half sizes anywhere. If there was I’d for sure try a 6.5.
The 6 was a perfect fit for me so i recomend half a size down from your usual.

I think wearing socks helps prevent all the things you mentioned. Not sure if it makes the shoe last longer but certainly keeps them fresher.
@@SamanthaYonge thanks that's so cool I really like people like you, I am the same to with my converse, but as for helping my girlfriend with her converse, they just stink a lot, nothing else that I can do, she chooses to be without socks even in summer, they get stinky and sweaty by her feet and a bit sticky too over time been worn Baer foot, they have dark brown toe prints, which anther girl showed hers and for 2 summers had socks on they looked as if being new. I try to tell her to throw them away.

I got half a size down as converse recommended and they fit great!

I wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 women’s shoe and I just got a pair of “White” (size 7) and they are so comfortable compared to what are used to be.
These Chuck 70’s are definitely worth the extra money. Not only does it have insoles that you can take out - it has “EXTRE JEL” on the inside bottom of the shoes as well. I am loving this sneaker. I going to rock them to death ☠️ lol

@@SamanthaYonge i bought converse 70s yesterday and i test the traction in our house of marble surface and its feel no grip slightlly and not squeaky but its grip on the floor compare the chuck taylor classic its slippery
