Boy, Heather is getting pretty handy with the hammer. It amazes me how you two are able to work so high off the ground. I'd be shaking like the proverbial dog.
Hello Bob, she sure is...she is way better using her own hammer, my hammer is a little heavy for her. On the small scaffold we are about 19' off the ground...a person gets used to it after a while. Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers!
I think that the hammer is a little heavy for Heather. You notice that she often holds the handle short of the end of the shaft. The most hammering I have seen Heather do was on the rafter build. She is no mean hammerer when she gets going. But I am a newby following this family. I started watching when flooring the first floor of this build. Mike
Hello George, thank you...I am glad you enjoy our conversations. Heather sure is, she is such a great partner. Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers!
Hi, sorry I missed Cecils birthday yesterday. Many more of them. I love the work ethic you both have. No wonder Heather stays so slim. She is up and down that ladder all day long. Cecils arm must ache so much at the end of the day. It is not the lightest hammer that he uses. I admire his accuracy when he uses those back swings for awkward nails. Times nave changes in every way. In the days of the old wire or oval nails one did not hammer them in square to the surface as they pulled out so easily. One drove them in at aprox 30 degrees or so, so they gripped better. Modern ringed nails do much to prevent nails from being drawn back out of the timbers. Again good wishes for yesterday. Mike
Love and enjoy watching your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and Heather and working on the homestead post and beam building and getting it enclosed
not going to put a window in the front there would let alot of light in ???????Happy Birthday Cecil for yesterday you said it was good glad Heather looked after you well
Hello Kriss, we would love to install two triangle shaped windows in the front where we are sheathing in now. The price of windows are out of reach at this time :-( Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers!

Cecil, I added 2 , 1968 bombardier sidewalk plow vehicles to my homestead. What's your opinion of those for logging and plowing?
