Haha, yes! Well, I woke up to our stove being locked this morning, and forgot how to unlock it. So, I made this video for me too, for future reference.
🤣OMG... That reminds me of my stove story, when I was in rehabilitation. Someone, who rented the apartment before, put it on lock. I checked all cupboards for an instruction manual of this darn stove, but without success. I finally figured it out myself, but I was close to go bananas ... Lol....because I was very hungry already, after a hard day of physical therapy, and my bad mood level always goes up, the hungrier I get, which made it harder to focus on the problem I was facing. 😂😂😂
Apparently it's a completely different button on my job, next to the normal on off button there is a different touch pad with a totally meaningless symbol of a hand on a square that only my wife knew about! Personally I have found all our Siemens appliances very disappointing, would not recommend them
Have a slightly different model, but this absolutely does not work, it just gives the annying and unwelcome beeping warning that it gives if something is placed on top of the buttons...this is absolutely horrendous design - that is turns itself on so easily and without anyone intending it and is not *not at all* easy and intuitive to get out of again. Bad design, Siemens!
Okay, so the solution on the model I have, if anyone was interested, is to hold the key icon for about 5s, not the power button...which was obviously the very first thing I tried about 15 times before trying everything else and then finally going to RUclips. The problem is mostly caused by the insanely unresponsive buttons, if they actually worked as advertised every time you touch it'd be intuitive enough, but when slightly dry hands, slightly wet hands, slightly cold hands, sligthly imprecise touch, or slightly too hard touch, too light a touch or having an "r" in your name all cause the buttons to just ignore you clearly pressing them, then error-finding becomes near impossible because you have no feedback at all to tell you if there is even a button there at all - the key icon fx could just be a symbol for the LED and not be an actual button, but it turns out it's a button. But when you don't see it do anything inside a reasonable timeframe you give up on it being a button..
