Rhett, it depends on the size of the mini and who you ask! Larger minis can easily be ridden by small children. I've been told minis weren't bred to be ridden, so they shouldn't be. However, one could argue draft horses technically weren't bred to be ridden either, and no one has a problem with them being ridden 🤷♀️
Granted, there's quite a size difference 😂
My 34" mini is occasionally ridden by my friend's petite 5 year old. My horse is pretty "vocal" about his comfort and hasn't given any indication the kid is too large for him. The moment he does, she'll stop riding him 😊
I think it depends on the type of mini, too. I had a 36" mini who was ridden regularly, and the Shetlands who don't reach height or an amha mini who has lots of Shetland blood seem to be better suited for kids. Just from my experience with minis.

I was handed a $1,000 bill when I was 18 working at Walmart. A guy bought a riding lawn mower with it. I’m not sure how he had one since they stopped producing them like 5 years before I was even born, but I felt important holding it.

Well, that was crazy. At the exact same moment Rhett said, "I don't understand the social aspect of (venmo)" in unison with me. Word for word.
I can definitely see why washboard went defunct. Who washes clothes once a month? Secondly, if you did so, it would definitely cost more than $20. I go to the laundromat 2-3 times a month.
And paying a 7 dollar service fee for quarters...the people who would not mind the service fee are not the same people doing coin operated laundry
And they sent it through the mail! Can you imagine how heavy (and therefore pricey) that would be?!

They should have marketed that first idea to the coin hobby community. Coin collecting is an old hobby and continues to grow. A lot of people like to just search through quarters in hopes of finding a rare or error coin. They would have survived if it was advertised to a more vast consumer base. Yes, laundry mats are another good area to touch. Especially in the oil field towns. Damn, anybody need me on their marketing team?!

My friends Grandparents used to rise ponies. They even has a pony cart that a team would pull in the parade. They could also be ridden by children that where small enough.
