Sir, i have a 30 guess rooms for an inn's project. My concern is that we need an enclosed pump room at roof top? or just let the pump room open concept? thanks
If you are in India, it's as per NBC guidelines, if it comes under residential Building, they just need an overhead tank and a booster pump connected to hose reel and hydrant as required. It is mentioned in NBC 2016 TABLE 7
I understood preaction system but when heat detector senses smoke then water will release from sprinkler my question is that in a particular effected area's sprinkler only will release water while Heat detector senses smoke
Hi allow us to handle this query. Sprinklers are convective devices and they trigger with heat release from a specific device. Sprinklers (bulb type) tend to work on expansion of liquid principle allowing the bulb to break down and allowing water to drop on deflector to provide a specific pattern.

We are designing a foam base deluge sprinkler system as we have combustible solid and liquid material tanks.
So, my question is,
How many no. of open type sprinklers should be on 1" or 2" line for Ordinary Hazard Group 2 and what should be the density of the water used for this system.?
3 to 4 for 2inch
