In my opinion, while Valentina is technically the better fighter, Amanda would have won again if they had fought. I also believe that Valentina won their second fight, although it was a close match. However, Amanda has continued to evolve her game and has grown even bigger since they last fought. Meanwhile, Valentina remains a technically brilliant fighter but has not shown significant progress in recent bouts. Given this, even though Valentina may be a better fighter, Amanda's size advantage and advancing skills would pose a significant challenge for her. This is precisely why MMA has weight classes.
Valentina will lose again if she does not accept why she lost. She said that Alexa is the type of fighter that conserves on energy and doesn’t throw many punches and that she only won because she waited for the right moment to catch Val. AG will improve her takedown D but VS wont improve bc she is too stubborn, she ll stay the same. So she dont throw that spinning back hand, and so what? How does she propose to beat the more powerful and determined, younger AG? Fight long enough and often, all meet their match and every dog has its day. VS hands are not nearly as heavy as AG and at LOBO Gym their prep is 2d to none! They dont mess around there. The rematch will be harder for VS.
VS still had to go rd 4 and 5 in that fight gassed against a strong and solid opponent that wasnt even breathing hard at all.

In my opinion, while Valentina is technically the better fighter, Amanda would have won again if they had fought. I also believe that Valentina won their second fight, although it was a close match. However, Amanda has continued to evolve her game and has grown even bigger since they last fought. Meanwhile, Valentina remains a technically brilliant fighter but has not shown significant progress in recent bouts. Given this, even though Valentina may be a better fighter, Amanda's size advantage and advancing skills would pose a significant challenge for her. This is precisely why MMA has weight classes.

Alexa has better boxing, not better striking. Shevchenko has better clinch striking and way better kicks.
So whilst Alexa was giving her problems in the boxing department, Shevchenko was winning at kicking range and was definitely starting to figure Alexa out. If Shevchenko doesn’t take bigger risks like going for spinning kicks, do you still think Alexa would finish her? Without the finish Shevchenko was creeping ahead in winning rounds.
