Have you read the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert? She talks about some ways she deals with it. I think you’re heading in the right direction, though, by watching other artists work…something will spark for you 🤩 And thank you for your kind words of support and encouragement 😊
This video has solved a question for me. I have an idea for a painting but I didn't want to put it straight into my A4 art journal. I've been sitting on some exercise (composition) books for a while so I think I will use one of those for my idea and follow the steps you use, including writing it out before adding collage, paint etc. I'm always inspired by your figures and colours, although I am more of a cool colour girl, so that's interesting in itself.
I’m so glad that my video was helpful…composition books are awesome! I naturally gravitate towards the hot colors but i really appreciate artists who masterfully use cools and some of my fave artists and pieces of art are cool dominated. Funny how that works 🤗

Do you ever use tempura paint?
I do have a tempura set but mostly use it when I travel. It’s not permanent…it’s semi permanent so I don’t often use it in my studio
