Actually regarding the interaction between Victor and Francis during the breakfast scene he did exactly what you’re supposed to do. It’s not about “solving a permanent problem with a temporary solution” because dementia is a chronic disease that never gets better. When people with dementia have moments of confusion like Francis did it’s best to go along with whatever they’re saying at the time instead of correcting them because all it does is cause agitation and outbursts. Obviously it fits Oz’s character that he doesn’t know any better and would react that way in the moment but just a heads up for those watching going forward.
What if Sofia holds Oz's mom and Vic hostage but when Oz confronts her, he shoots his mom himself to show that Sofia can never get to him something like that.
@Alex-pb6mx maybe ahaha. I'm guessing if he indeed kills his mom then Vic is definitely gonna rethink about who and what Oz really is. Since Vic knows nothing about Oz's promise to end her suffering when the time calls for it. So yea, Vic might end up sabotaging Oz's plans and teams up with Sofia and Sal? Which also forces Oz to end up killing both Sofia and Vic in the end.
Right after he said that line I wondered if that was scripted. I wonder if Colin improvised anything because he was literally made for this role. Who would’ve thought. Not me. But damn I am so grateful for this series.

What about if he finds out about the lil girl Sofia vows to protect in her family and Penguin finds out about her and kills her.Or even worse he doesn't know which one so he burns down the whole orphanage
That “you got more room than you think” line is the most Dublin thing Colin Farrell has said in this show. He may have said it with a “Gotham” accent (wink) but that was Dubliner energy all the live long day
They does a great job in doing heartfelt moments between bad people. That look on Clancy Brown while Sofia eats the food he made, the hug between Oz and Vic. Great episode.
Should've been smarter for Victor to make Squid's death looked like committed by Maronis, then let his body displayed for the entire Crown Point to see.
Yeah he can know what to do in the hypothetical situation but your not gonna be thinking straight after killing a person for the first time plus it happened on the street so he couldn't really stop and get his bearings@@andrimufid2195
Gefilte fish. After that, I gotta pick up some gobba gool 9:52 -- pretty good guess. I love the business of "Burgess Jewelry" -- a nice nod to the 1960s Penguin, played by Burgess Meredith.
Father figure showing Sal cares about Sofia during that whole dinner scene was pretty beautiful. Clancy Brown seriously brings more layers to Sal Maroni and wants to honor his wife and son. Also seeing Victor going through his own dilemma with Squid since Oswald wasn't able to help him due to his own personal problem with his mom says he had to man up to make that tough choice. Then seeing that father-son dynamic with Oswald comforting Victor for the tough choice he had to make shows their bond is strong.
Fun Fact: 1) Eve Karlo shares her surname with Basil Karlo (Clayface I) who was a B-movie actor, so the scene with all the wigs and make-up was a nice call back to that, if that was intended. 2) Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo) is the ex-wife of Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon) IRL.
Hey Greg and Coy I’ve been trying to work on my Oz accent. I’ve found that if I use my the tip of my tongue to speak I sound more like him. Like tongue to teeth. I’ve been working on it. 😅😂
I JUST realized when you said it, but the parallels with Victor and Jason Todd are uncanny! Especially given how both of them are found by their mentors stealing the rims off the mentor's car. hope Vic gets a less violent ending
Eve knowing about Sofia coming, Sofia having respect for the loyalty Eve has for her girls, something her father didn’t have for her. I hope Eve introduces Sofia to her half sister one day.
Yes as fan of detective series. You dont leave any valuable after a murder leaving police to guess there is another motive. Just make it look like mug, its the easiet for police to close the case
@mohdrosley9909 don't think the police or the government really care about Crown Point. They had little to no power, the place is still trashed after the flood.
you guys are too smart for this show. your predictions on every other scenes are all on point. makes it look like you two already watched it before this reaction video. it's a compliment btw.
23:56 We cheer “yes, Oz did it!” Then we realize, wait a minute, he’s the villain. It was like watching Narcos Mexico when Diego Luna as Miguel got the plazas working together, “yay, he did it!” .. oh wait a minute 🤔 😂
The dilemmas each character is facing in episode six, which I just finished viewing a moment ago, make it clear that Sal Maroni and Sofia Gigante's revenge season has begun. It is evident that they both despise Oswald Cobblepot and wish to see him destroyed. Discuss Sal's role as Sofia Falcone's father figure. It was pleasant to see his compassionate side. Sal Maroni has deeper depths in this episode, and we can see that when Clancy mentioned that we would see him fighting and not giving up during the NYCC Penguin panel.
I have a grandparent with dementia and something I've come to learn and understand was Vic's approach to bring up Jack to comfort Francis was actually a preferred tactic by many caretakers. It's not really that helpful to continually remind them that these family members they're remembering aren't actually around anymore. It's pretty distressing actually, to constantly be told your experience of reality is inaccurate, so many caretakers will redirect a patient who's in an episode or panicking about something by reaffirming them and talking through the experience. That being said, Oz's reaction is entirely human and understandable.
I lost my mom to health complications after years of caring for her through the worst dementia episodes. This episode caused some serious PTSD in my hearing the way Oz's mom would call for him in the same tone my mom would in the middle of the night, just to ask for ice cream from the store. Or having to listen to her calling for a long-passed relative all night, then be woken up to seem like she had no idea she had been doing it, then to resume as soon as I went to bed. This show's representation of his mom is flawless, and I wonder who involved had been through instances of it in their personal lives to be so real.
so much PHENOMENAL dialogue, especially the Eve/Sofia scene. but something about Colin's delivery of "They don't even know your fuckin NAAAAAMES." did it for me. This show is so damn good.
Does anyone remember in episode 2 when Oz makes Vic lie in the grave. He says "this is how it feels to choke" how poetic that it foreshadows how Vic dies. By being choked by Oz
Love all of your reactions, Ms. Falcone is a simmering sociopath. Compliments to Greg for thinking Theo isn't real. When he stated in an earlier episode that he had to leave while she was still in Archm, it crossed my mind that he was a delusion of her battered mind.
@ReelRejects Colin was asked if Oz is worried about Batman. His answer was being that it picked up a week after The Batman, Oz has so much going on that Bats is an afterthought at the moment in so many words.
You say that the scene where Vic confronts Penguin on killing Squid looks and sounds like Joker, but the scene with Eve and Sophia literally has leitmotifs from both Riddler and Batman themes - like the "interrogation" part is similar, one knows more than the other. It's pretty cool, I was lucky to notice it first time I watched it.
Sophia is gonna get Rush to do a psychological torture on OZ to make him hurt. He is gonna make somehow force OZ kill Vic and his MA. It is what his MA wanted, and he agreed, but it will be hard to do Vic as well.
Victor is Jason Todd in that moment at the end and Sophia is the Joker. Remember when Batman had to bench Robin (Jason) beat he beat a man within an inch of his life? That’s Victor killing Squid. Theo Rossi is an analog for Harley

I wonder what Penguin did in episode 8 when he said you can't rute for him anymore after what he does?! What about if he finds out about the lil girl Sofia vows to protect in her family and Penguin finds out about her and kills her.Or even worse he doesn't know which one so he burns down the whole orphanage
The name of this episode should’ve been:
Winter is coming for Gotham 😮
41:18 Julian talked to the doctor in Arkham. He asked “what if she’s telling the truth?”
She also called him after she almost got killed, passed out, and then woke up at his place.
That “you got more room than you think” line is the most Dublin thing Colin Farrell has said in this show. He may have said it with a “Gotham” accent (wink) but that was Dubliner energy all the live long day
Ah yes my favourite show:
"The Pengun"
Can't wait for next week episode
They does a great job in doing heartfelt moments between bad people. That look on Clancy Brown while Sofia eats the food he made, the hug between Oz and Vic. Great episode.
Should've been smarter for Victor to make Squid's death looked like committed by Maronis, then let his body displayed for the entire Crown Point to see.
When it's your first body you and scared shitless and not thinking straight. The only plausible thing is to run. But like Oz said "it gets easier."
@@EzeICE I thought he learned a thing or two from Oz about framing someone. It's been a couple months
Still Vic's first time killing someone (that he knew for years) point blank though and he's not cold blooded (yet) @@andrimufid2195
Yeah he can know what to do in the hypothetical situation but your not gonna be thinking straight after killing a person for the first time plus it happened on the street so he couldn't really stop and get his bearings@@andrimufid2195
Victor not that smart yet. His first killing, its like loosing your virginity. Do you do so many style during your first. I dont think so
Gefilte fish. After that, I gotta pick up some gobba gool
9:52 -- pretty good guess.
I love the business of "Burgess Jewelry" -- a nice nod to the 1960s Penguin, played by Burgess Meredith.
Oz tilting his head down to take a sip of the beer, pausing for just a moment to crack a smile over a successful performance… Colin is so damn good!
Fun Fact:
1) Eve Karlo shares her surname with Basil Karlo (Clayface I) who was a B-movie actor, so the scene with all the wigs and make-up was a nice call back to that, if that was intended.
2) Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo) is the ex-wife of Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon) IRL.
This episode had me nervous the whole time!!
For real i was nervous in the all episode
Hey Greg and Coy I’ve been trying to work on my Oz accent. I’ve found that if I use my the tip of my tongue to speak I sound more like him. Like tongue to teeth. I’ve been working on it. 😅😂
13:57 MACKLE-NO-MORE AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HELP
Let’s go!!!!!! Was waiting on this! Episode 6 is Colin’s episode 4 lol.
Cots just having a ball with this voice impression lmao😂❤
R-I-P Squid
rest in piss😭🙏
For CGI blood, pretty good
Rest In piss
That bathroom scene with his mom had me SOBBING, like boo hoo crying 😭
Why the hell would anyone be worried about the Batman? He's a joke. We saw how much Penguin and Riddler respect him.
😂😂😂 oh man I was refreshing like crazy here to see this reaction haha I bet it's another great episode 😊
I JUST realized when you said it, but the parallels with Victor and Jason Todd are uncanny! Especially given how both of them are found by their mentors stealing the rims off the mentor's car. hope Vic gets a less violent ending
on top of it guys, damn near immediate upload. this one had me stressed.
MASTERFUL EPISODE!! 👏 the writing is superb!
Eve knowing about Sofia coming, Sofia having respect for the loyalty Eve has for her girls, something her father didn’t have for her. I hope Eve introduces Sofia to her half sister one day.
I can't believe the money that was wasted in the alley. Someone give me a ride to Gotham. I'll give you twenty dollars for gas
Y’all are quick damn😂
they're so quick with it, they're calling the show pen-gun. 😄
I’m glad you guys laughed as hard as I did with the, “you got more room than you think.”
@16:07 Penguin "It could be worse, his nose could be gushing blood!"...Oz Cobb "It's just yor nose!"
Ugh the ending… why y’all gotta do me like that??!!
Watching the episode now. How do y’all get it up so fast? Can’t wait to watch this tomorrow. Y’all are awesome
They get early releases
I have a grandparent with dementia and something I've come to learn and understand was Vic's approach to bring up Jack to comfort Francis was actually a preferred tactic by many caretakers. It's not really that helpful to continually remind them that these family members they're remembering aren't actually around anymore. It's pretty distressing actually, to constantly be told your experience of reality is inaccurate, so many caretakers will redirect a patient who's in an episode or panicking about something by reaffirming them and talking through the experience. That being said, Oz's reaction is entirely human and understandable.
My heart sank when they showed Sofia looking at his mom at the end 😂
Sofia will probably make Oz choose between his mother or vic. This series has been nothing short of incredible.
I'm pretty sure theo rossi first big movie was as a background extra in the movie Cloverfield, he was at the party in the beginning of the movie
Loved y’all’s reaction and analysis again and this episode got me genuinely hooked for the next!
If yall listen closely in the scene with Sal in the kitchen he said we should go out on the town without our henchman to look less conspicuous
so much PHENOMENAL dialogue, especially the Eve/Sofia scene. but something about Colin's delivery of "They don't even know your fuckin NAAAAAMES." did it for me. This show is so damn good.
Does anyone remember in episode 2 when Oz makes Vic lie in the grave. He says "this is how it feels to choke" how poetic that it foreshadows how Vic dies. By being choked by Oz
"Macklemore!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Greg broke me there!!
The guy embodies his character so much it's crazy! What a good job
Such a great episode man I’m so excited for the next 2
"You got more room than you think". One of the funniest quotes 😂 16:21 16:21
If Sofia is the Penguin's Joker, then Theo Rossi is her Harley. Former therapist and all.
I felt the pliers torture clip was like a homage to when The Penguin bites another man's nose in Batman Returns
Victor is Jason Todd in that moment at the end and Sophia is the Joker. Remember when Batman had to bench Robin (Jason) beat he beat a man within an inch of his life? That’s Victor killing Squid. Theo Rossi is an analog for Harley
Last two episodes are going to be C R A Z Y.
The buildup is so goood!
I want to see Batman smash a glass bottle in Oz's eye at the end of this series :D
I cosplay as Arkham Origin Penguin. I have a walking disability and a sick dying mother. This show is exposing me. My stress level were an all time high. I am not okay!
You will be ok. Keep isn't the art to deal with your pain, you can push thru it!!
Everyone talking about such a great episode. Me still laughing about the Macklemore joke🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for all y'all do! Help so much!
