    Maybe I'm a big dumb-dumb but what do I *do* with the loose leaves? I already know there are many different types from trying them as bags. But without the bag, how do I actually make the tea?

    While all tea comes from the same plant, like mint that has 200 varieties, their are many variations of this plant
    Some tea origins can be identified by their name, Assam tea has to have been grown in the area of Assam.

    Twinings company has 300 years of experience as advertised it's so sad when I was new I discovered that they were horrible and I had forgotten their brand names I bought it again and I was mad at myself I threw part of the way and then I thought I'll just take it to work and it just sat in the drawer nobody wanted it sad sad tea. Appreciate you putting it out there I wish it was more of a American Market I'm thinking that your products are England?

      Ive seen teabags from England with broken leaves. My issue is that these bags or to small and tend to confine when the leaves expand.

    I skimmed through a bit so apologies if I missed it - if possible avoid tea tins or bags of loose leaf tea that are transparent. Light can degrade a tea’s quality easily, so it’s best to keep it out of the way or get a fully enclosed package.

    • @myteanook

      So glad this was helpful!! It is very disappointing that many pyramid tea bags have plastic particles in them... There are some now that are made of the fine paper like traditional tea bags, but it is much cheaper and waste-friendly to brew loose leaf tea! I have a video on how to brew black tea :) this is the link ruclips.net/video/fECdudMeX_o/видео.html

    I find it quite fascinating how the picking, withering and baking processing of the tea leaves will determine what type of tea will it be, and not to mention how the taste, thickness, and finish will it have on the palate of the mouth… complex, and yet elegant.

      Also the tradition of aging tea that is predominant in the Chinese tea tradition is also worth looking into. I was very lucky to be able to taste some aged raw puer and aged white teas and they are so nice.

      Oooh I haven't had an aged white tea before! But I am quickly becoming a little bit obsessed wit pu-erh teas... I need to stop buying them or I will never get a chance to drink it all!

    Great video.. and your setup is on point! one thing that got me into loose leaf tea was the cool tea ware and hand made clay tea pots.. fun to collect. and brewing in the gong-fun style is great after a stressful work day, it's like a meditation, a good reset.. I think that's another good selling point for loose leaf tea aside from quality!

    • @myteanook
      @myteanook  Год назад +1

      Ooh yes!!! I’m currently making some brew guides for standard teapots, but after that we will be dabbling in gaiwan brewing! It is such a grounding, experiential way to drink tea ✨ thanks for the set up love ❤️
