What we saw last year with our horrible secondary is even if the other teams WRs get big yards is does not mean they win. We won a lot of games last Years with many of our opponents WRs going crazy
I agree The lions defense were basically like fuck it, your best receiver can go off but no one else on your offense will be able to consistently create plays, which carved out enough stops for the lions offense to win the game, I think the lions defense this year will be better against the pass to stop receivers putting up insane numbers, which will allow the goffense to cook even more
We also got hella lucky on wide open miss throws and 3rd and long dropped pass that would have went for 20+ yards. So I agree the defense in general, Dline and Secondary especially will be night and day. So it might take some time to get some cohesiveness but that goes with 3/5ths of the rest of the league.

We could have got Josh back with a 2yr, $7.4mil, $5.2mil guaranteed, w/ same signing bonus and throw in some achievable incentives worth up to $500-700k as well as a SB incentive of $1mil spread out for 3 years if they reach or win the SB.

That's what "John" does, His torpedo/rocket arm has been a cover for his "slower" processing of the game. I watched him throw week after week - getting his receivers annihilated.
