It's Nyangostar. It's a mix of different words for this mascot. NYAN-the sound a cat makes. Starr-an homage to the Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr. (Ringo is also the Japanese word for apple.) It's the official mascot for the Aomori Prefecture of Japan. It's a part of Japan famous for it's apples, but the population is elderly and shrinking. Nyangostar is a tourist mascot to promote the apples and tourism of the region in an attempt to generate public interest. It's a woman underneath the suit, her name is Nao Kawakita. She is the drummer and vocalist for Japanese metal band Maximum the Machine, when she's not touring as Nyangostar. Nyangostar, the mascot, is the spirit of a cat trapped in an apple. It's all apple related, hence the color and shape of the costume, to remind the viewer of the prefecture and it's a pun on the Japanese word for Ringo (apple), who Famously played drums. 😊

The drumming isn't that great? LMFAO what? Bruh, 99% of drummers can't even do what she did without a costume. With a costume, this is near impossible. They didn't miss a beat, it was perfectly executed. There wasn't even a single miss with the beat and the timing. You aren't a drummer, and you likely are tone deaf

The person going off is planned because they're doing it for a tourist attraction to bring more people into the are cause it's loosing population. There's a chick underneath that's in a Japanese metal band. And the song is written properly for the drums to go that fast. Also, who do you know that can double base and beat blast that we'll? It's extremely hard to do like the video.
