Hi Luke, I am an old man now living in Canada. If I were to start again as a young fellow, I would definitely be in Shanghai, China. You have a bright future in that country; I can't say the same for the youth in Canada these days. Unfortunately, China remains the best-kept secret thanks to Western propaganda.
Thanks a lot, thinking about leaving Shanghai though for a job, will give updates on that eventually :) Appreciate you watching my vids though, hope people can learn more about the true china through them!
Congratulations on your PhD! What an achievement, doubly challenging having to learn Chinese a long the way. Your Putonghua is so good now, and thanks for all your videos. I have enjoyed watching many of them, and also your insights into AI and life in China.
I had been to WuZhen once and love it! There are quite a number of water-town in this part of China typical of the Jiang-Nan(South of the River) area! Thanks for sharing.
Happy for you, Luke. Only a few hours ago I read some military bigwig in the UK said they're prepared to "fight the Russians." You don't want to be in the UK when that happens esp since you're of conscription age...
Great video and summary! Hope you get more followers. Heard they chose this little city as a combo of promotion by Jack Ma (from this region) and Singaporean and Japanese investment back in the days. So lovely to see they've kept the old but also looking towards the future. Respect!
Interesting that you are doing graduate work in AI in China. The US is now blocking Chinese grad STEM students into the US to do research and studies. Well, maybe that's for the better for China. It means more research in AI in China.
Yup 100% China currently leads the world in 57 of 64 critical technologies of the future Where the Chinese don’t hold a clear lead? In the remaining 7 other technologies? It’s usually the USA that holds the lead or co-lead with China Like AI for example… But then you have this 👇 In One Key A.I. I agree with you. The West like to say something in the East is like something in the West. FYI the East had it all first.
Keep up the good, you are well on your way to 100k subscribers on RUclips. On Chinese social media you are already a rockstar.
Bless you, Luke! You live in the right country.
I envy that couple sitting on their porch on the bank of the river. What a lovely place to be
