    I saw a chip in the blade after hitting the antler. You wiped/checked the spot where it is. It stands out against your blue tshirt.

    I have tried to buy one of these for 2 years hopefully Tops hears enough to make another run. Love this knife and everything about it and can't wait to feel it in my hand.

    Nearly cut that antler in twain son! Man that thing still bites! I really gotta get either that or the Storm Vector by Tops. I am in LOVE with the Storm Vector. Guns has an awesome collection of Tops brother. Love the demo some good old fashioned Choirboyz de-struc-tion!

      I have a Storm Vector. It's bad assery at it's finest! I don't have an El Chete, so I can't compare them, but the Storm Vector is a serious chopper.

    Thanks for the video, a good chopper is very handy. Have you tried the Tereva Skrama around the yard ? It's very handy, I have one and love it.

      @@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors I'll look it up, thanks. I bought two and one got a drip on it somehow while moving in the sheath and it's a perfect small circle of rust I haven't been able to stop. It's slowed down but luckily I have the second one lol. I oiled both and have renaissance wax in them now.

    I have one since about 2 years and I just love it. Here in Hamburg, Germany we have
    yew and that wood can be really tough. But not with that blade - the previous one was getting chips in the blade when I hacked a lot of
    yew. That was the reason why I went for the El Chette. Great knife, worth every penny.

    Such a bad ass chopper the el chete is. Personally for me 9" blade is about as much I can handle and still do some fine tasks when needed but there is no denying how destructive that knife is. Tops does a great heat treat on their steel they've been perfecting that recipe for quite some time and they get it right. That handle looks comfortable as well. Thanks for the great vid Scab and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

    Very nice machete Brother. The different styles of machetes fascinate me. The handle looks excellent. Blade design is kinda similar to the old New Zealand Army (vietnam era) jungle ‘Golock’ (compact machete). I like Tops knives. Looks like an awesome chopper.

    That thing is definitely a beast and I can see it being carried in many areas instead of an axe. I love my axes and am first and foremost an axe guy so that is a little painful for me to say lol!
    However, in some AOs some style of big knife (machete, parang, khukuri or whatever) is just 100% more useful.

      I agree brother! I love axes as well and I am hoping to review some this fall/winter. But you hit it square on the head sometimes you go with a different tool

      @@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors two axes I would suggest would be the Fiskars 16" chopping axe (haven't ever had any issue with any Fiskars that I own and there are a few!) and the Council Tool saddle cruiser axe, either model.

    Did it take a tiny chip, yeah but you chopped a f**ckin' antler son! How often are we gonna chop an antler? I say it's your knife swing it like you want too, I do with mine. I have choppers with a couple micro chips, did I hit something I probably shouldn't have, yes again it's mine and I use mine.       I absolutely agree brother. The point of this particular video though was that I had said there was no chip it's important to me to make sure we put out the truth. Adam was in no way like trying to call me out he was just making a point. We keep on rolling son!!

I saw were you noticed (or rather I thought you noticed, and were pointing it out) the chip in the video right after chopping the antler. I honestly missed were you said there was no damage. I did however watch again and in the last clip noticed you mentioned no edge damage. I understood it was an honest mistake but I appreciate that you corrected yourself. Absolute honesty that is why I stand with you brother Scab!
