Ok I know this is going to sound a little morbid but lately I've been feeling lazy with my decluttering and I started thinking about a few scenarios. One of them being what if I die or get hospitalized, I don't want to leave clutter or papers not in order! Beleive it or not but it's actually motivating me to get my papers in order and get on with my decluttering! At this point anything that keeps me motivated works for me LOL! 🤭
Sounds like "Swedish death cleaning" Its a totally valid thing, and lets face it, its better to think about these things when we are fine and have the time and energy instead of leaving it so that your loved ones don't have to deal with it when they are already under so much stress and turmoil.
@@lizzybearcutie👍I agree! Knowing my loved ones won't have to deal with it gives me peace of mind and keeps me motivated! As an added bonus, the house is beginning to look so peaceful and welcoming! Cheers from Canada🙂

Old medications at my pharmacy is a box that looks like a mail box and you can just put them into the box pill container and labels and all. They destroy these and not have to worry about the labels, So easy to keep them from gathering in the medicine chest. Love your ideas and suggestions to get let go of odd items. Thanks
I am a 50+ year old woman and really like how you are doing your videos! :) You do it with a great sense of humour and with a very friendly touch. Very authentic.
I collected towels in the attic for the next move (for protecting furniture in the truck etc.) because initially after decluttering them, I wasn't (emotionally) able to donate/throw them. But after the move, they did their last job and I could happily throw them away. Maybe my strategy helps somebody. :)

What a great inspiration! So real and honest! I watched the Video a couple of weeks back. With some of the categories I was instantly "Nah, don't applies to me!". But then I forced myself REALLY to look at that category again. And what to say, in every one of them I found unused things to let go of. Thanks so much!
I actually need to purchase more spoons with handles as I've been 'naturally' decluttering because they break! I also prefer but also tend to buy them from a specific secondhand/pre owned store and charity shops (I find they are cheaper, better made, and I like the styles I've found there, they are comfy to hold too!). So maybe these could be bonus points to somehow offset my... horrendously ott and slight hoarding tendencies in the chaos known as my home!

I actually have a week dedicated to one area or room. Example bedroom. I go through a section each day for 5 min. Kitchen may be a 2/3 week one so section it like pantry ‘fridge etc . This clears the house quarterly without any real declutter. When you start this walk around your home and right down the rooms/ bedroom/ bathroom/garage/laundry room /linen closet in the hallway etc on a pad Before you start any room section it off .example bedroom-closet /side table/ under bed/ dressing table Use this as a guide . Do not trash as you can resuse it again . Remember each day it’s only 5 min . My entire bathroom only takes only 5 min as I have been consistent
We have always used the hallway linen closet. (Avoiding high moisture places like bathroom & kitchen.) My mom had them on a turntable but I used small dollar store baskets. Only a few headache remedies in the bathroom medicine cabinet.
Oh out of the bathroom and Here I was moving next week to my own apartment giddy to have a extra cabinett in that bathroom to put medications and first aids in… Instead of in a box in my bedroom. Hm…. Great list Anyways
My pharmacies do not collect old medications on a consistent basis, so I just keep them in a bag in the trunk of my car and add to it when needed. Then when I hear of a drop off day, then I take them all at once. But I don’t have kids so I don’t have to worry about them getting into something that could be dangerous.
Don't forget, you can also cycle your wall art - I'm an art collector, so whenever I feel like I'm not 'seeing' the art I have up I pop the current ones into a portfolio (inexpensive and compact way to store art) and take out a new/old favorite ❤️ Plus this is the only way I'd get to use my whole collection :)
I love my old towels they dry so much better they feel so much better... Even though they have thinned out some. I absolutely love them. New towels that were given to me as a gift they don't dry as well they're too bulky, I think that's part of the reason why they don't dry well they say they're 100% cotton however the way they're made these days really don't dry well. I've even tried vinegar in the wash to help. However I will not give up my old towels they're great quality they're even 20 years old and I have a few that are 30 years old. Still in great shape. I don't need fancy towels for my guest if they don't like my towels then they can go buy some for themselves. 😂
Such an informative video....esp. great for folks who don't have the time or inclination to read a whole book on decluttering. Good job! And, btw, your hairdo looks great on you. If fits your personality and you have such a perky and inspiring demeanor! Thank you for your efforts.
Thanks for this video! For laundry detergent, I bought Tru Earth eco strips a few months ago - they are laundry strips that you can get either monthly or for a whole year. In a small cardboard box. They are super eco friendly, hypoallergenic, etc., etc. I don't want to sound like a commercial, but I love them :)
I have been trying to declutter a closet for quite some time now. Even though it’s not messy and there is not a lot in there, I keep feeling overwhelmed or do not have enough energy for it. It just does not feel finished and it’s making me feel useless. I keep pushing myself to do it, but it’s just not working. This is exactly what I needed. This will make me feel the wins I crave and won’t make me feel overwhelmed or too tired.

I will need to bring her in It's been getting chilly lately but we had some sunny days so I was putting her back out early today maybe your last day outside. Well and a succulent. Basically anything that can't tell me it needs food and water is in trouble.
