You're directly NORTH of the Super-Alloy cave, or NW of Iridium cave, if you're more familiar with that. It's actually a pretty nice start point. The dead end isn't a dead end. It's just locked until you can make a Fusion Cell, in late game... General tips for everyone: Meteors CAN hit you and do damage, and if you don't have food with you, could kill you. The resources that is deposited will despawn unless picked up within a certain time.(SA despawns within 30 seconds...) They despawns immediately if you save and reload the game. For regular meteor storms, watch out for Aluminium in the early game. Always gather that if you have to choose what to pick. A good tip is to always build a couple of windmills and drills before you start on the base. That way you get the Terraforming process started. Some of the first you unlock are better O2 tanks and backpack. You should be able to get the T2 Oxygen tank within the first 10 minutes. Steep hills: Use the space bar to JUMP! to get uphill. There is no need to put windmills on top of foundations. Satellite; You were in Deconstruct mode. There's stuff stored INSIDE the satellite. Consider it a flashy chest. Some maths and facts. Food is limited, and you eventually have to grow your own. For that you need a Food grower. That is unloced by reaching a specific oxygen level. A Vegetube T1 with the LIRMA(100%) seed can do that in 22Hours and change. A Vegetube T2 can do it in 2Hours and change. To get Vegetube T2 you need heat, and a single Heater T1 can reach that in 40 minutes or so. Setting up a heater or two is actually more important in the start than setting up a Vegetube unless syou have 'Golden seeds'(600% effect)
A wonderful game this one, I just finished it with a lot of help. I learned the hard way not to build in the low parts of the terrain. Who knew that water pools?!?
As of my last play the resources that appear from the meteorites wont stay when you exit. They will hang around for as long as you are in game but when you log back in for the next session they will be gone and you have to look for the placed ones or wait for another storm. Just something I noticed that doesnt seem talked about. The big ship has a false wall.
High Tech Fabrication Hand-Held tool? Check. Perfect Recycling Tech? Check. Oxygen tank that lasts for more than 200 seconds? Woah there Mister! This isn't the year 10,000 AD that tech just doesn't exist!
I don't comment often, but I'm glad you are playing this again. There are many changes with the story too. I bought this after I watched you and z1 playing the demo. Had a lot of fun with it, but can get a little grindy like any builder type thing. Lots of fun tech to play with though and many secrets.
I discovered the game last fall. I played until the last content was finished and I loved it. I'm so excited about what's to come and waiting for updates. Have fun playing! It's just great if you just want to play without stress and shooting around.
I'm glad you're revisiting this game. The last playthough you did the game looked promising but there wasn't much in the game yet to give it any depth or make it a challenge. I know a lot of content has been added and am looking forward to seeing some of it :)
Have similarities to Subnautica, but much weaker storyline to follow. The last phase of finish the terraforming is a big grind of collecting the same resources and build the same machinery. Before that it is an OK game of exploring and collecting and building. There are some tactics that helps ease the experience. If really want to exploit a bit, then can clip through the terrain at certain places and do shortcuts.
The one-person terraforming effort reminds me of Prime Mover in Buck Godot - Zap Gun For Hire. Godot: "What are you doing?" Prime: "I am terraforming this planet and a viable planet should have an ocean, so I decided to put one here." Godot: "You're pouring an _ocean_ out of a _bucket_ ?" Prime: "Oh... that. The secret is to use a really _big_ bucket."
Hey Spanj! Love that you’re getting back into this game… I kinda got a bit addicted to this game after the latest updates. Great vid, keep up the great work. Also, a little tip for construction: If you hold down “ctrl” while building, you can build multiples of that item until you run out of resources for it or release “ctrl”… Anyway, have fun.
Hardcore and random start location can be brutal. The meteor showers become more important later and centre around the player so it's useful to be in an open area during one so nothing is lost up on a clifftop.
IIRC, you can deconstruct the different colored chests for resources. Plus, then you don't get confused whether you've already found a particular one and waste time. EDIT: Well you did deconstruct the ones in the ship but I think you forgot to deconstruct the one outside
Awesome you restarted this game its awesome, btw there is loot in the crashed satellite but you couldn't access it because you where in deconstruct mode.
It would be funny to watch if you were standing outside and was hit by a meteor. Especially if you watched it coming in. "Surely it won't kill me". And don't call me Shirley!
this game has always intrigued me. i think you chose a good spot too. just build a huge complex of the cubes with the outer most with windows for the view. it will e interesting to see what all they added. the intro was good to see. good vid
When I saw the thumbnail I thought, "eww not again." With the updates it really seems like it will be a much cooler romp through than before. I am looking forward to more!
also , later on go back to that big ship and there will be food seeds in there , you went into it to early in the game. the seeds will show up after about 2 or 3 hours in game
The wrecked satellite at the 25 minute mark is a container, not something to deconstruct. Your mining gun was set to deconstruct, which is why you never saw the chance to open it.
Heard you talking about this in a recent stream and glad you decided on Planet Crafter! Love this game, AND you introduced me to it originally, so its all your fault!
About the death penalty... I believe it is a direct result of Josh at "Let's game it out". Josh showed that as it WAS, you could die on purpose a bunch of times and end up with a huge loot pile. It definitely was an exploit.
Looking forward to this series. Also can't wait for Manor Lords to be released and watch your play through of that. Also hoping you do 7DTD A21 when that finally drops
You forgot the crate at the front of the ship that you saw when looking for the entrance or it was not shown as you grabbing it but there are more episodes but it a mention!
I got this game the last time you played it lol did a play though not long ago I go to a point when all I could do was wait and it was looking like ages so i gave up
Hey Spanj you beautiful man will love you crafting in this game it is a brilliant game would buy it my self but my dog eat my credit card have to wait for years to get a new one well it seems years
Funny how this game's logic gives you a literal wrecked giant spaceship worth of materials but does not let you scrap it entirely but makes you grind for resouces from blobs of stone. In reality, you would not need to even touch the stone. Meh, gameplay purposes i guess.
It's not suppose to have the depth of Empyrion because it's a totally different game. I get that you probably enjoy Empyrion uploads more, I have fav game too. Try to enjoy this game for what it is instead of comparing it to another. If you don't, you'll always be disappointed.
@@desperategaming5784 I watch Spanj mainly for Spanj not the current game he's playing. I follow 3 Empyrion players, 1 of which I consider a better player than me and two that are idiot players (but fun) I am constantly looking for a game to get into but you are right I am constantly disappointed. This game while seemingly fun (and new) appears to have rails and limitations of a year 2000 production.....I will follow its progress but so far it will never feel the wrath of my wallet.
This game looks good but is there no tutorials or a story line to follow? Even Satisfactory has a introduction to get you up and going, even though it's not much. This comment was from watching the first 5 minutes. NVM I'm a idiot, I now noticed the first steps list on the upper left. LOL typical for me not to see what's directly in front of me. I've stopped buying EA games, but this is on my follow list. I might make an exception if this game is worth the risk. Is it your video or is the game's colors overly saturated? For a scifi game, it's lacking a compass. Can you craft one? What about a map? Even 7D2D has these built in from the start. It makes sense if you have to build a map, but you should have brought a compass with you when you went to space. Or are you a prisonor just stipped of every thing and dropped in middle of nowhere?
25:20 Hello, the satellite does not understand. You must turn off the disassembly on the tool to get the items.
All boxes can be disassembled.
At the 35min mark, in the ship, on the right of the 2 cockpit seats you can deconstruct the wall for a secret area.
You're directly NORTH of the Super-Alloy cave, or NW of Iridium cave, if you're more familiar with that.
It's actually a pretty nice start point.

You can deconstruct the Blue boxes for resources ( I believe)
Yup, gold ones as well for different ones.
Yeah blue is iron and gold is super-alloy + aluminium.
A wonderful game this one, I just finished it with a lot of help. I learned the hard way not to build in the low parts of the terrain. Who knew that water pools?!?
That's ok, I seem to remember Spanj doing the same thing on his first run...🤣
Haha I made the same mistake, had to relocate everything higher, all my main base was underwater when I came back from a long trip lol
imagine running into the prancing florist here missing your vids hope everything is ok on your end
You can deconstruct the blue crates for one iron. The gold crates are also deconstructable.
Deconstruct the blue chests, check the walls in POIs some can be removed for secret loot. Leave oxygen pods everywhere.
Yep get iron from the chests.
As of my last play the resources that appear from the meteorites wont stay when you exit. tip: try to find walls that are "fake walls", those can be deconstructed to reveal secret compartments
The small crates typically contain microchips that you can research for more technology. You can also deconstruct the small crates.😊
I discovered the game last fall. I played until the last content was finished and I loved it. I'm so excited about what's to come and waiting for updates. Have fun playing! It's just great if you just want to play without stress and shooting around.
Deconstruct the box's you find for more material.
I'm glad you're revisiting this game. The last playthough you did the game looked promising but there wasn't much in the game yet to give it any depth or make it a challenge. I know a lot of content has been added and am looking forward to seeing some of it :)

Something about this video makes me really miss the breathedge series. Spanj was so hilarious during those videos. Good soup
I am so glad you are jumping back into this awesome game! Love Planet Crafter.
When you are out running around as you approach iron it has a twinkling effect that lets it stand out making it easier to see.
Hardcore and random start location can be brutal.
The meteor showers become more important later and centre around the player so it's useful to be in an open area during one so nothing is lost up on a clifftop.
once you unlock the auto miner stage 1 you will have so much iron you will not know what to do with it. thanks for revisiting this gem!
I love this game! I think you'll need your deconstruct chip to build the recycling machine.
A great game and a solid pick Spanj! I'm excited to see all the new with this game and a completed Terra forming of a planet!
Didn't expect u to go back to this game. I'm eagerly waiting for the next ep.
There is an achievement for getting hit by a meteor. Also they drop different kinds of resources including some rarer ones
Also the foundations are a pain and don’t really have a purpose other then appearance
Spanj you can deconstruct those pods like grow pods and heating pods so on inside the ships great Spanj am loving it
the moment it got dark and you entered the ship I've been in a constant state of anxiety. got the damn PTSD flashbacks from Alien:Isolation
my eyes will never recover from all the red, but looking forward to more of this
SUPER excited to see you back at this game. Such a cool idea, and really overall well done
IIRC, you can deconstruct the different colored chests for resources. Plus, then you don't get confused whether you've already found a particular one and waste time.

Thank you for the new play through! This time it seems way more interesting, keep it up buddy!
this game has always intrigued me. i think you chose a good spot too. just build a huge complex of the cubes with the outer most with windows for the view. it will e interesting to see what all they added. the intro was good to see. good vid
When I saw the thumbnail I thought, "eww not again." With the updates it really seems like it will be a much cooler romp through than before. I am looking forward to more!
I love this game and i can't wait for February update.
also , later on go back to that big ship and there will be food seeds in there , you went into it to early in the game. the seeds will show up after about 2 or 3 hours in game
The wrecked satellite at the 25 minute mark is a container, not something to deconstruct. Your mining gun was set to deconstruct, which is why you never saw the chance to open it.
Excellent choice good sir, Happy to see some more planet crafter! good episode!
Heard you talking about this in a recent stream and glad you decided on Planet Crafter! Love this game, AND you introduced me to it originally, so its all your fault!
I remember Planet Crafter from awhile ago
The whole section inside the ship was so tense, waiting for the sound of an Empyrion Horror or something...
Astroon. Excellent use of the Scottish Accent there. :)
About the death penalty... I believe it is a direct result of Josh at "Let's game it out". Josh showed that as it WAS, you could die on purpose a bunch of times and end up with a huge loot pile. It definitely was an exploit.
Thank you, Spanj. Love this game!
I wondered if you would go for this. I am at the current end after a lot of enjoyment.
Looking forward to this series. Also can't wait for Manor Lords to be released and watch your play through of that. Also hoping you do 7DTD A21 when that finally drops
There is a secret room in that ship, so you have to check all the walls
2:20 in Holy Orange. Is Capac one of the Devs? I think the environment colour could be toned down a little in brightness
You forgot the crate at the front of the ship that you saw when looking for the entrance or it was not shown as you grabbing it but there are more episodes but it a mention!
You tease... what was the blueprint you found? Nice looking game though... maybe have to invest.
muahahaha! I got to be honest i put it in a box and forget about it for aaaages!
Spanj are you and the crew going to play no one survived ? It’s a bit rough. But it’s really good.
noice wondered when u be back at this, i'm waiting for vehicles to come before i get to it xD
spanj your chests have writeable labels
Ahh sooo glad for this!!!
Watchout during meteorite showers, my permadeath game was ended by a meteorite hitting me
Don't forget to find the dead guy
I just bought this. watch you to see how to plsy :) thank you
go back to that satelite and look at it without the decon on
9:35 hey , have you had trouble building on top of rock outcrops ? I’ve been having issues
yep, it sucks
I got this game the last time you played it lol did a play though not long ago I go to a point when all I could do was wait and it was looking like ages so i gave up
You unlock a steam achievement when you get hit by a meteor
Did i missed something or you got so distracted by shineys that you forgot to craft yourself an exoskeleton?
,Planet Crafter is now officially 1 year old and to celebrate a special anniversary event.
Hey Spanj you beautiful man will love you crafting in this game it is a brilliant game would buy it my self but my dog eat my credit card have to wait for years to get a new one well it seems years

I love how if you just exit from this game without manually saving your progress everything is lost lol
It is a savage!
As you craft the planet?... As you Terraform the planet... later on you can recycle the deconstructer and other things...
Well it is called Planet Crafter, not Planet Terraform.... Lol.
why do they keep making these games SP?? They are so much better as co-op.
wrong about the rock not hitting you, one of the acheivements is to get hit if i remember right
Not the face!
Get hit by an asteroid
