It was a really sad day when Fiat and Ford left india. Fiat used to have amazing engines. now people boast of good ground clearance on Virtus/Slavic with 179mm, they had Linea on 185mm in 2013.
Grand Vitara Interior is the main concern.Also the price. I preferred Skoda 1.0. It gives me 19-20kmpl on long drives with ghat roads. In town 11-15 depending on traffic. Good luck. 👍
I ll be comparing both the cars on a different point fronx has this very strange shape and the bonet is really blocking a lot of view the wind shield is also smaller, so field of view is less, plus fronx is really an inflated baleno it's not a proper suv go for grand vitara

Thing is, a diesel engine is built stronger so in a 1500cc or bigger engine a turbo is fine BUT in a small 3 cyl petrol engine of 1000 or 1200cc, a turbo puts too much stress. In an 1800 - 2000cc petrol engine, a turbo is still ok.

In delhi you will get less (Currently driven only about 4000km, I am Hoping after first oil change service there might be 8-10% increament in fuel economy) This engines can give you a range of mileage depending upon driving condition and how you drive from even as low as 5kmpl to 20+ 😁 P.S If budget issue go for skoda, they give 1.5 from middle variant (ambition) itself!! Value for money. Whereas VW gives it in top variants. Rest its up to you.

Used Ritz diesel for 3.5 lakhs kms no issues.. Sold it now.. No diesel option in Maruti.. Shifted to XUV 300 and i am loving it...diesel is diesel at the end of the day.. The torque matters the most.. Did drive XUV 300 1.2 GDI...its petrol but never felt like that... Torque is amazing coupled with excellent suspension setup.. XUV 300 is underrated gem
sorry bros, dont agree the logic that you have given of turbo not getting oil in first start till 30 secs or 1 minute...turbo's dont run on engine oil...they run on re-circulated exhaust gas...there is no lubrication of engine oil in a car's turbo.. the logic for oil stands true for any engine whether it's NA or Turbo..cos the oil should reach the rings and the cylinder head in some micro seconds..but the rpm is higher in the engine at start as the engine is cold and the engine starts to miss or vibrate at idle at cold start if it's not sufficiently warmed up...got nothing to do with turbo in this case...
