The Kiss and the rings are both iconic moments, but I have to say my favorite victuuri scene is the a i r p o r t. I watched YOI as it was airing and yeah the kiss and the rings had everyone exploding but there was something about the airport scene that made be bawl like a baby when I first saw it. "Be my coach until I retire," "It's almost like a marriage proposal...I wish you'd never retire."

Victor admiring Yuri the way he does is amazing. It isn’t just a sexual attraction like a lot of people make it out to be, he cares about him. He wants him to be his best self and he wants to be by his side. He doesn’t want to live without him, it’s just pure. The airport scene and the scene where Victor is crying in the hotel because Yuri is asking him to get back on the ice when he isn’t there, are my all time favorite.
Yeah using the show, the love Victor feels for Yuuri is agape a selfless love that doesn't ask for anything in return. His love is also Eros but not in quite the same way, all Victor wants is for Yuuri to be happy and do his best, and for Yuuri to allow him to stay by his side. "Please stay my coach until I retire." "I wish you would never retire."

I love that this isn't a sexual thing either. The creators did want to make sure it was still labeled a sports anime, but their relationship was deeper than a sexual one. I love seeing that and I wish there was more romances like that in animes and such. It's so pure and deep. This is what I wish for in a partner. I am asexual and I am afraid I will never find someone that will look at me the way Viktor looks at Yuri.
