Around about the time Simon became a normal human being (I would time it exactly about the time he became a loving dad) a subtle but powerful change was seen into these competitions, they became more humane in the beauty of being merely human. Simon you are a good man for bringing warmth and love to the hoi polloi in a world that is becoming increasingly cold, unrelentingly indifferent and plain difficult for ordinary folk. Thank you, Simon!
It has always surprised me that none of the judges point out that whlst a standing ovation is great, stunning an audience into silence is the ultimate.

This group was beyond fantastic...at that level. They were fantastic, but once you've seen it, where does it go from there? You've already seen it, little room for growth in competition, in my view.
