I mean the true Sweden, 'cos watching this video the capital is incredibly similar to Milan ( Mailand x our german friends ) in streets shape, architecture, shops...with exception of a much,much cleaner air (🙂🙂) .

Stan is a Persian word and there is no significant Persian community in Sweden. And swedistan means place of the Swedes. Stan means place of like ‘land’ in england, Finland

To add the suffix '-stan' to a place means a generalization of faraway countries, with very different cultures. I saw that use the first time in a Swedish Donald Duck magazine in the very early seventies, maybe late sixties, when the characters spoke about a faraway country as "Långtbortistan", 'Far-away-stan'. At that time it was only a pun, play with words, a funny way to point out a part of the world without mentioning a specific place. That interpretation still exists, but nowadays it's mostly a generalization of countries where immigrants, especially Muslims, come from. I have to stress that it's not necessary meant negatively. Anyway, who wrote the comment didn't want Sweden to become a country with more in common with the 'Far-away-stan' countries, than the Nordic - Swedish as we know it.
