I was sceptical to the benefits of a new camera for your purpose. But man, the new shots are amazing. Well done.

Are you in Mesa mode?? We enjoy the Mesa videos. It is always eye-opening how crapy Mesa really is designed.

dust on valves/tubes looks so amazing for some reason... it's like a match made in heaven for photo/video aesthetic. You can fall in love wit the first frame...

Dust does two things well 1. thermal insulation 2. high impedance conductor . Both are not needed in a tube amp . Kyle another on point video.

It makes cooling not work very well on anything and everything, and it can become conductive and leak voltage. It will get into pots and sockets and wear off the tin plating & carbon traces. Dirt is no bueno. My dad's old custom order Blazer was overheating. A new OEM factory radiator, a very extensive douche flush of the total cooling system, and steam cleaning the engine fixed that issue right up. Aluminum oxide does not let the aluminum cool well. Weird, because it is the main ingredient in heat sink paste, but it mixes with the dirt and the radiator stops cooling efficiently. I got lucky and found the Canadian manufacturer who made the original GM Radiators was still making them.

As Manchester England's Roland L. would say, "Hoover it out!". Those Engl amps with the bunch of extra diodes going to the power tubes, often need all new 1N4007s. Ditch all of the 1N4003s & 1N4006s and just put all 1N4007s in 'em.

I have owned a Mesa MK5/35 for about six years now. I have only had one issue when about two years ago one of the EL84's started redplating. Even while under warranty it still cost me almost $200.00 to repair. I was thinking of getting a Dual Rec, but after watching all of you Mesa vids I need to decide if it is worth it.

Mesa realized the 1N4007 was not good in the low voltage DC supply. Later designs like Road King and Stiletto used 1N5406 instead.

Good morning from rainy California, as a bit of a tube roller, I'd love for you to put out a Tube Roller's Guide to Ecstasy!
I've noticed that you like particular tubes for v1 vs v2 vs phase inverters. My standard MO is to immediately drop a 12ay7 into v1... appreciate the channel, fun to see the tweaker getting some love.

You should really make a video about how to clean your amp from dust. I wanna clean my amps but I am afraid to damage something in the proocess or what I should clean and what should I keep away from.
