No problem getting quality hot water bottles in the US. I’ve been using one for a while. LOVE your fall covers. May have to make a few for gifts!!
That diamond cable sweater is beautiful. Can’t wait to try it. Let me know if you need a tester!!

Your hot water bottle covers are so cute. For a safer longer lasting filler you can use a grain sack. Fill a fabric bag with wheet, barely or rice and heat for a minute or two in the microwave. It can't burn and it holds the heat better than water. The bag can have dividers sewn in to keep the grain distributed better.

The John Arbon sweater is absolutely stunning. And the yarn! Oh my gosh! ❤ I'm so so looking forward to its release. Funny enough, I had bought unicorn-coloured mohair to pair with a grey... I was hoping for a similar look.
And I hope your little guy is feeling better. :(

Hot water bottle covers are so cute! I don’t own a hot water bottle, but now I think I need one. Instead of French knots, try using colonial knots. They come out a little neater than a French knot.

Thank you for another amazing episode of your podcast. Your enthusiasm and excitement is just shimmering through my laptop ... I can feel it!
I love all the new versions of the HWBC and I look forward to trying out some different ones in the near future.
I have knitted with John Arbon yarn (sportweight) and I agree that the look and feel of this yarn is on a whole new level.

You are just so much fun to watch - I don’t have any hot water bottles and I’m terrified of colorwork, but I think a mini would be a good place to start!

Lots of my preview knitters used it for their first ever colour work project with great success! There’s no pressure as long as you use wool and it blocks on your hot water bottle so tension discrepancies don’t really matter like it would in a garment or a sock! X

I completely forgot about the mal till I watched this!!! Thank you for the reminder.
Poor Geoff, that cough sounds very poorly, I hope he's better soon.
I love the hot water bottle covers, they're so cute.
Good luck with your half marathon, you're a braver woman than I am, I can barely run for the bus!!!!

Cannot WAIT for the Mini Maxine! I managed a version in fingering weight that fits my mini hot water bottle (matching Maxine set!) but the proper gauge will make for perfect gift knitting this season ❤🎉

I''m so happy for you that you've found the right balance for you! And I'm totally loving all the hot water bottle covers. I bought the pumpkin spice one and I''m thinking about wich patterns and what colors I'll use all day! A year ago I wasn't a hot water bottle person, but now I'm definitely am! I also made one as a birthday present for my best friend (I duplicate stitch a F1 racer logo on it, that I found on Pinterest) and I have plans to make another one as a gift!

Thank you thank you thank you Laura for having another podcast so soon, that was very much appreciated😊❤ I'm having some stressful days and my anxiety is giving me quite a hard time but your videos always put a smile on my face, so for that I'm thankful. In other news, I think I chose the project I'm gonna work on for the from me to me mal😎 that's gonna be a chunky, red, long sleeved and probably turtleneck Ranunculus😍 I think that's gonna be an October cast on though cause my needles are busy at the moment but I might find the time to swatch for it cause I can't wait! 😍

❤ thank you for another lovely dose of Laura! What gorgeous designs you have. I am about to begin a Stella Quilt blanket, but it was difficult to choose between that and the wonderful Sweet Shop blanket.
Laura, if your original Maxine doesn't fit you or your sister, and the yarn was gifted by the shop, what about sending it back to the shop as a sample? Just a thought. It's hard to part with precious makes.
Keep well! Vitual hugs to young Geoff, poor mite.

Laura, I love your videos and I adore your energy ❤ I've been feeling a bit low lately (a hospital environment will do that to a person) but I feel like you are sending me some really good vibes ❤ It's been a pleasure knitting with you 😊 I admire the idea that you've had for the MAL. I may not officially participate because I have a private Instagram account but I will do my best to keep this ideology in mind 😊 for so many years I have knitted so many Christmas gifts for my loved ones and barely knitted anything for myself for months at a time. This year I'm trying to "adopt" a more relaxed attitude when it comes to gift-knitting and actually make the things I want to make ❤ Recently I have had a lot of time to plan my future knits. I'm a Christmas-lover myself (I have already started listening to Christmas carols 🫣🤭) so I have a few things I want to make myself for Christmas Eve: a new knitted elf hat, over-the-knee socks in Christmas colours (striped) and maybe finish my first ever sweater (in a Christmas-sy red colour) ❤ we'll see how much I can actually get done 😅 in a few weeks I might be able to attend a crafty event here in Finland with my grandma and my dad, so looking forward to that (planning on buying Christmas cards - and, of course, yarn) ❤ THANK YOU for spreading love and a healthy attitude towards knitting (and life) to us all ❤ I thinks that it is apparent that you have worked on yourself these past few years and I feel like I can learn a lot from you: moving towards accepting myself and my body as it is and giving myself permission to rest ❤ you are truly an inspiration 🎉❤
