If you use a beer engine styled pump and you naturally carb in the corny keg, do you or should you also add a low pressure co2 feed as well, or just use the co2 that the natural carb is producing?

no the only reason you would need to add c02 is for long term storage to prevent oxidation of the beer if you have to much pressure your beer will free flow through the engine

I was thinking that, I don't think I will need to store it for too long. hahaha Yes I did hear that too much pressure as you said will push the ale engine, Thank You, I will naturally carb and see how everything works. Cheers!!!

A beer engine runs hundreds of dollars. Not sure most folks would find this a viable alternative.

Its funny how you said "do it Georges way"! When I was growing up in our little town of 18000 back in the 50's there was a plumbing shop owned by a Man named George and his Logo was "Let George Do It!
I like your videos and will have to start giving you some business.
    Thanks

I saw a recipe for corn whiskey with just corn, water, and yeast. you let the corn soak in water so it'll grow sprouts. Remove the sprouts, dry the corn, then crush the corn, and add boiling water an then yeast after it cools to around 90 degrees. my question lies in where the sugar comes from in this process?

The sprouting of corn changes the metabolism and the make up of each kernel of corn- the amylase that is inside the corn converts the starches to sugars.

George Duncan so it would work without adding barley or supplementary sugar?

Absolutely. This is how it was made when all those extra ingredients were not available. It takes a large amount of fresh corn to sprout but it works wonders. It is also a long arduous process but easy to accomplish.

George Duncan Perfect! Also have you ever heard at Stonewalls Southern Whiskey? It seems interesting.

    kinda designed like a thumper.....

Maybe a little by design but it doesn't work anything like a thumper. By design a corny keg works from the small inlet tube to the dip tube to deliver beer. The thumper works in the opposite direction; from the dip tube to the small one.
